This all started after my friend had 1/2 his voice box removed due to cancer. I could still understand what he was saying (just) but when we are in the Pub things got difficult. then I just happened to stumble on to these Definitions ear things. I honestly did not think they would work lol. But Wow I was actually impressed the bit of rubber worked. It's quite nuts because you don't really know what to expect . I can say I managed to hear most of what Andy was saying again. They just knock out some of the background noise . I'm super happy with them, I wear them every time I go out now. As said for something I didn't think would work , they get the thumbs up from me.

I can go out and enjoy the world again.
I always felt stressed and uncomfortable without knowing what's wrong. The first time I tried calmer the world had changed for me. Anxiety and panic are mostly gone. Stress levels are reduced and I'm feeling more comfortable during work or activities.
I wear them nearly 24/7.

I tried their Flare Calmer earplugs for misophonia - that is , extreme noise sensitivity and they are brilliant! they protect the ear from the excesses but still allow you to participate in things you need to hear, like a conversation or cinema etc.
They have excellent customer service going out of their way to assit with requests

I've been using the ear plugs for a little over a year now, and I couldn't praise them enough!
I recently bought a new pair that came with some filters, but lost the filters not long after opening them sadly.

I never reached out to the company since it was I who misplaced them, but I casually commented about it on a FB post, the company saw it and reached out to send me a free replacement!

Still in disbelief to be honest... it's rare you find a company that values customer care over profits.

I love my Flare CALMER. They are amazing! You can still hear absolutely everything, but it takes the edge off the loud sounds...like things bashing on the floor or walls, or kids randomly screaming, hitting things, bouncing balls etc... It just helps me stay calmer a little longer and not get so completely overstimulated by everyday noises. Been using mine for more than a year now. Love them!

Really great product. I suffer with a bit of hearing loss and I’m a drummer and this product filters out all the distortion and gives me clarity so really a great product.

I have very small ears so I purchased the children’s calmers , which felt comfortable but after wearing all day my ears now itch and feel discomfort . I didn’t notice much difference in the spikey sounds made smooth I didn’t notice any difference and still felt edgy . Paid good money and a little dissatisfied as I don’t want to wear them now feel wasted my money

For someone with ADHD these have become an absolute lifesaver. Drastically lowers my risk for overstimulation in public places and helps me focus on conversation in loud restaurants.
I also gifted a pair to my sister who’s a preschool teacher. She feels that they help protect her ears for loud kid screams and cries, making her work environment a lot more comfortable.

Just make sure you follow the instructions for the first time you use them, and then you can plug them in and out when ever you want.

I put them on, I take them off, zero difference. Absolutely useless. A waste of money.

I love my Calmer minis! I've been using them daily for about a month now. I put them in as soon as I wake up and don't take them out till I go to bed. I haven't been overstimulated one time since wearing my Calmers. Normally at home, my daughter and husband may be talking to me while the TV is making noise, the fan is going the dishwasher is running and what is world is that noise! Arrrg. It's just too much. IYKYK. I'm definitely a believer in Calmer, because I know they work. If you've been on the fence about ordering Calmer, just do it, you won't regret it.

This product is not good! No value for your money. Better definition of sound is the opposite of what I experienced. The sound is flatt. Less nuanced/detaild soundpicture. The free shipping applies only to local buyers. The same goes for the 100 days free return policy. They don’t refund the foambits and you have to pay for freight and customfees. So, free returns are not exactly free. My advice to you: Buy something that works instead.

Flare reach out with a full refund after reading my review. I’m only left with the customfees, so that I can live with. Thanks!

I wear mine to work. I work in retail and they allow me to serve my customers while softening background and otherwise irritating noises (alarms, sounds from the registers/tills, kids screaming) which allows me to remain calm and focused in order to do my job more efficiently.
Life changing. Love them.
The only negative I have would be the fit. It is perfect in my right ear, but the one for my left ear doesn't seat well (understandably, because all ears are different) and over the day, and with talking and moving my head, it can come dislodged at times. However, a minor inconvenience for the overall peace it gives me during peak hours of business.
I'm glad I took the chance with them. Pricepoint is good too!

It took a long time for them to get here, but my calm flares are amazing.
I thought there was no way these little pieces of plastic would help.

I’m a HS Choir director. A lot of sound. A lot of overstimulation.

The first day I wore them all day. By lunch I forgot they existed by lunch. I felt SO calm by the end of the day.
I could respond to students more calmly and logically.

My ASD son went from Ds&Fs to As&Bs & no missing assignments because of the calmer pros! LIFE CHANGING!!!! 😭😭😭 My tip for parents: find a video testimonial that you think sounds like your child would resonate with to get their buy in first…. That was key for my son to want to wear them. I don’t have to remind him to wear them for school. He feels the difference & loves them!! Getting a second pair as a back up 🎉

The Flare Audio ear plugs make such a difference to me. As someone with ADHD I find it hard to concentrate in environments with background noise. These earplugs simply 'take the edge off' those sounds and I find focusing much easier i also use them at concerts and events to soften the sound, which makes it way more enjoyable. Good service from the company too - the order arrived quickly.

I have three different of flares; calmer, calmer extra, and performance. I’ve had the original calmer for a few years and they have done so much for my anxiety. I don’t go anywhere without them in. I even keep a backup pair in my purse. The other two I just got and they are great as well. I have extreme anxiety when I’m in a car, the original calmer have helped with that but the calmer extra have taken it up a notch. It’s like they muted the outside world and I was able to fully focus and stay calm. You can still hear with them on, but it takes away those frequencies that cause some of my stress.

Flare Audio provides some great products. As a professional drummer and Music teacher the
'Earshades' are my personal favourite and provide great ear protection for all day use! I am also using their definition and calmer ranges for everyday use, offering great options for louder environments where noise cancelling ear plugs aren't necessary. I have also been using the E-prototype ear phones for casual listening. The sound reproduction, specifically bass frequencies is incredible and makes for a great listening experience. The team at flare offer great customer service. Would definitely recommend trying these products if you haven't already!

listen. don't bother with these if you're not from the UK. These earbuds are really good and the price point is nice, too. However, what flare doesn’t tell you upfront, is that you’ll have to deal with customs ;/

Well i suffer from tinnotus quite bad and i know there isn't a cure. But my flare calmer performance ear plugs have basically taken away loads of noise stress head aches in my day job which is football coaching and my weekend job which is either production or performance

I wear them all the time. I went Wembley last night to watch England and o would usually suffer but it was just perfect you can hear what you need to hear without the unwanted frequencies. Honestly brilliant thank you so much!

My order arrive complete & on time.

I've been a long time user of Flare audio products. I have weird shaped ears where conventional cheap in-ear earphones (old free airplane ones) would always fall out. For my ears the Calmers (I have had original, Soft & Night) to fit me fine & I can wear them outside and I can usually trust that they stay in. I am extra careful though & do not usually wear them biking - lost my Calmer originals this way once. Got Calmer Night and found them more comfortable for me & stays in better so haven't gone back to original since. I noticed upon starting with Calmer original that I didn't so quickly feel tired after a school run (child pickup/dropoff), though the swimming pool is still hard. Then I have to use noise-cancelling headphones. I happen to have misophonia.

I currently mainly use Calmer Night. But I don't wear it all day - only when outside & I notice I'm starting to feel worn down (this happens quickly), as I know my tolerance varies (yet unknown why), and I want to keep acclimatising to environmental noises when I can tolerate it.

For shape/size reference their calmer minis are too small for my ears & their earplugs do not fit very well for me - I also find them uncomfortable so even though I have them I don't usually use them. I can only wear apple earbuds when seated, as if I try to walk, travel or even just stand up with them they will often fall out. I can however wear Calmer Sleep while moving about (non-vigorously).

Of course size & fit will vary for others so I'm not basing my 5 stars on fit - just that they delivered, in a timely manner, items as described.
