Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 580 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the service and staff, finding them unhelpful or unsatisfactory. Customers frequently encountered issues with the booking process and found the customer service to be non-existent or unresponsive, often leading to frustration. Reviewers also felt that the pricing was excessive, especially for basic amenities like water or snacks, and that the company focused on charging extra fees rather than ensuring customer satisfaction. However, some customers also noted that the flights were on time, and the planes were modern and clean. A few people found the staff to be friendly and attentive, and some considered the flights to be a good option for those on a tight budget, especially when compared to other airlines.

IF YOU LIKE BEING LATE....

Flight from Dublin to Istanbul recently, flight was 40 minutes late leaving Dublin, no explanation no apologies,
My airport transfer who spoke very little English had gone off for his break, I had to wait for him to come back as I was late.
Flight back to Dublin was 40 minutes late taking off from Istanbul again no explanation or apology, the flight was also over booked!!! More chaos,
I ended up missing my bus at Dublin airport and my ticket was for that particular time.
I have a two hour wait to see if the bus driver will let me on a different schedule time bus!!!
Also I found the staff quite abrupt, literally shouting at people to open window slides and put seat belts on, the flight was punctuated with overly loud announcements in Turkish and sometimes in English later,
Their pegasus cafe menu was actually so overpriced it made Ryanair's look like lidl !!!!
€15.00 for a miniature jack Daniels bottle!!!! €10.00 for small can of Heineken!!! €7.00 for a snickers!!!! And when I tried checking in online i had no luggage only a light backpack,I was unable to check in online with the no luggage option, it simply would not let me continue unless I picked a checked bag option!!!!! Crazy badly organised set up.
I can say with all honesty It was my first AND last time using that airline.

My biggest mistake buying ticket with pegasus

I regret have not properly investigate the airline before buying the ticket. My first and definitely the last time. Their hand baggage allowance 3kg and 30x40x15cm. Probably not long until they will reduce it to 300g and 10x20x3cm.
Never thought that there is something worse than Wizz or Ryanair, but compared to Pegasus their look like top notch luxury airlines.
Unfortunately can’t return the tickets which I would do without event thinking for 1 second and go for more expensive decent airlines.

They tried to stolen children by…

They tried to stolen children by keeping their identification.
I had very bad experience, we had transit flights after a passport check in Turkey when my family and I want to get in the plain the man asked that my husband have two bags so I tried to explain that one of the bags it’s for my sun he is 3 years old and he can’t carry it. My husband wants to give him money but
He called his colleague and they took our passport and he looked at my children by meaning I noticed they planted to stolen my children.
My hands were shaking l went to his face and asked for my children passports, first of all we are 4 person and we have 4 back bag second of all if even we had extra bags you can ask for money not to take passport and not let us go.
He tried to make us separate he gave my children and I pass and told us you can go I didn’t have any other choice to save my children, my daughter was crying,When I get in plain I didn’t let airplanes fly so police came in and I asked I have to make sure my husband is safe and have his passport .
Police contacted them they said if she wanted her husband tell her to come.
Of course I am not getting out to this unsafe country so they give my husband pass after half an hour but they didn’t let him fly with us .
Unfortunately Turkey is not a safe country before they tried to stole your money by double price charges products, now they want more money they want to sell your children.
Please if you have children don’t trust them

Everything went well…

I have read many bad experiences but in my case the flights were on time, the personnel was kind, the planes were pretty new and clean and every went well. It is a low cost, so all extra services are at cost, but the rules are clear, so easy to respect (ie luggage limitations)

Your luggage is never safe with Pegasus

English:
Your luggage is never safe with Pegasus.

On January 24, 2026, I flew from Hatay to Ireland with a layover in Istanbul. Since I had to wait about 10 hours in Istanbul, I checked in my 8 kg cabin bag at the counter and sent it to the aircraft. The staff member weighed the bags, handed me my boarding pass, wished me a good flight, and told me I could collect my luggage in Ireland.

When I arrived in Ireland, my 8 kg bag was missing. In addition, four other passengers on the same flight were also missing their luggage. I filed a lost baggage report, but there was no response. Eventually, I was told that I needed to go to Hatay Airport to collect my bag.

Can you believe this? I live in Ireland — and they expect me to travel to Hatay to retrieve my suitcase.

I also submitted a claim for the expenses I incurred due to the missing luggage, but it was rejected. Not only did Pegasus cause me serious inconvenience, but they also refuse to take responsibility for their own mistake.

I swear I will never use Pegasus again.

1 star is too much, zero would be better

I contacted customer support regarding an illegal charge (additional baggage fees charged through the support center, despite the fact that I wasn't given the option to pay online), and a lie about free calls from registered bolbol numbers. All of this resulted in me having to pay almost 22 euros more. In response to my complaints, I was told that their online system was working perfectly and that this was solely the result of my problems. This sounds especially good given their ad about free calls. Clearly, we're dealing with unscrupulous people whose main goal is to extort as much money from you as possible. Actually 1 star is too much, zero would be better

Never ever

The only positive thing about pegasus is the reasonable flight rate . But try to add some luggage or any modest extra and you ‘ll spend almost as with a real company.
The plane is dirty, the staff is bored, tired and nervous, seats not reclinable.
They closed the gate of our connecting flight in front of us and told us to buy a new ticket which costed more than the whole trip. There is no Pegasus office at the Istanbul airport, just a small, dirty and dark desk with 2 irritated workers, no manager, no light, no queue, people submerging the desk from any side, looking for help. No proper communication of terminal not even via app, chat useless that never connects to a human operator. Very poor service and lot of arrogance.

NUT ALLERGY BEWARE!!

We flew from Stansted to Antalya on 11.02.26 (1 adult, 2 children). A month before travelling, I emailed Pegasus regarding my 7-year-old son’s severe nut allergy. They replied asking for our flight details, which I provided straight away, but I never received any further response.

On the day of the flight, as soon as we boarded, I informed a cabin crew member about his allergy and was directed to the head cabin crew. Her response was shockingly cold and dismissive. I was told that passengers would eat nuts, that they are sold onboard, and essentially that nothing could be done.

I politely asked if a simple announcement could be made to make passengers aware of his allergy. I was abruptly told, “No, we don’t do that.” I was then handed a form to sign stating that I had not informed the airline of his medical condition and that they would not be liable if anything happened to him. When I explained I had email proof showing I had informed them in advance, I was told to either sign it or get off the plane.

As a mother travelling alone with two children, this was incredibly distressing and intimidating. I felt pressured into signing something that was not true, and I spent the entire flight anxious about my son’s safety rather than feeling supported.

Due to how we were treated, I made the decision not to use our return Pegasus flight. I paid out of pocket to book new tickets with Jet2 instead. The difference was overwhelming. The crew were kind, reassuring and immediately made multiple announcements without hesitation. It was handled professionally and with genuine care, and I finally felt at ease.

Based on this experience, I would strongly urge families travelling with nut allergies to think very carefully before flying with Pegasus.

Worst flight experience ever

Denied our tickets by saying we need a visa for a country where we don't need a transit visa, even though the country officials agreed for us to come, we were still denied by Pegasus. Flight got delayed anyways and even if it wasn't for the original issue, we still wouldn't made it to our next flight. No refunds from them. The worst experience ever and I hope no one ever uses this company again.

This is a honest review because I was really worried after booking this airline to Dubai after reading these reviews but honestly it was great with no troubles at all. Yes I get that it's a basic plane but it's similar to a Ryanair flight but if you want a budget airline don't worry at all. I would recommend and fly with them again in the future

Rudest flight assistant staff ever

Rudest flight assistant staff ever. Never seen such unprofessional behavior. Shameful and embarrassing beyond any possible justification.
If you have some few extra bucks do not flight here, especially if you think you might need any help onboard. Mind you I payed extra to closer to the crew.
BTW flight PC1217 from Istanbul to Bologna, in case anyone working there cares, which I doubt..

This company is a joke

This company is a joke. DO NOT TRAVEL WITH THEM. They lost my luggage, so I submitted all the receipts for the expenses I incurred in the city I was going to, plus some receipts for the NEW items that were inside the luggage. They are only offering me enough to cover my costs. JOKE.

WORST flight experience

It was my first flight with Pegasus and I have to say I hope it is also the last. Even one star is too much. This airline is not well organised, everything takes absolute ages, no communication, online checking doesnt work so you have to wait in long queues even if you do t have bags to check in. There suppose to be 3 kiosk open at Hurghada but only one person was working so we been over 1h in queue. Then the airport at Sabiha Istanbul was absolute shock....never been in worst airport. Changing gate from 301 to 201 so you running up and down like crazy. And the cherry on the top ....no scanning machine so all boarding pass are checked manually which again takes ages...it feel like 20+ years back....i really hope I will not be in such a emergency to have to use this airlines again.

Better than expected

I read trust-pilot reviews before I travelled so I was expecting the worst. After trying to check in on line I thought it could be a disaster. The online check in does not work (I suspect because I had a bag to check) but they don't tell you that. You perhaps should just assume you are going to check in at the airport. I left extra time for this but that was unnecessary as check in was simple, well automated and quick at both Edinburgh and Istanbul. It would save a lot of stress if they could just either sort out the online check-in or abandon it. Pretending it might happen is pointless and their online help bot and staff were useless. But lets focus on the real stuff. The flight was on time, the plane modern and clean, the staff at the desk and on the flight were good, I arrived on time both ways so the most important parts worked. The in-flight food is another negative, so expensive (12 euro for a crappy filled roll) silly prices for drinks, so buy your own at the airport. Overall however and knowing how to deal with the airline as it currently is, yes I would use them again. I had no luggage hassles and most of those on this website are because people did not read what they could bring. Would I use them again, certainly.

No more PEGASUS FLIGHT!!!!!We were…

No more PEGASUS FLIGHT!!!!!We were flying from Luxor to Vienna VIA Istambul the FLIGHT was delay 1 hour what was the reason that we could not catch our train back home and had to stay in Vienna In this situation they robbed us from 100 euro because in their opinion our hand luggage was not small. enough however in Luxor was quite OK for other Pegasus staff. The smallest of it's dimensions is 5 cm smaller than in other airlines what means that specially for Pegasus flights you have to buy new suitcase, really ridiculous. Now we plan our flight to South East Asia and of course we cancel every flight where we see brand Pegasus as well as the airport in Istanbul.Go this way stupid people and you will find one day with empty airplanes....I will write it everywhere I can, in Booking. Com,Skyscanner,Travel everywhere to worn other people I swear you will regret your stupidity and lack of kindness

Underrated - Faultless Experience

I booked my flight earlier this year and as it was out of season where I was going, it meant I was limited in who I was able to fly with. I booked Pegasus and it was very cheap and reasonable on price. Around about a week before flying with Pegasus from Stanstead to Izmir Turkey. I thought i’d just look at the trust pilot ratings and after reading them, I was a little concerned, although the issues seemed to be more on minor issues mainly.
Well, I have to say that everything all round was brilliant. I had a quick and easy check in online and then at the desk on the way out from Stanstead. Staff were pleasant and polite throughout. A great smooth flight, followed by a quick transfer from the plane and onto the bus into the airport.
Once again exactly the same upon my return yesterday.
Appreciate each individual has their own preferences and experiences, but mine was faultless. I normally would fly with EasyJet shortfall and Virgin on longer flights, but they didn’t fly to Izmir in February.
I will 100 percent definitely be flying with Pegasus again when I return to Izmir in August this year.
Great experience all round.
Well done and thank you.
