The Motley Fool should be shut down

The Motley Fool should be shut down by the FCA. Their unqualified, self-taught contributors just keep publishing more and more worse-than-rubbish advice(?). They only encourage you to invest in their appalling buys. Then.. than pump and dump on YOU!

DO NOT SIGN UP!

If you really must, spend a few weeks (or a month or two) taking their rotten advice and playing with Pretend Money. Then WATCH IT DISAPPEAR.

A bunch of amateurs

A bunch of amateurs taking wild guesses at the UK stocks and shares market, be very careful reading what they have stated, had I invested with their advice I would be out of business by now. God knows why Yahoo use them as a high profile companies house small company with a turn around in the thousands.

Thank you for your feedback.

We're sorry to hear you've been disappointed in the performance of your service as of late. It's important to keep in mind that no financial publisher, The Motley Fool included, can guarantee that a recommended stock will not fluctuate. Investments are inherently a risk, and the market will vary.

We encourage our members to build a diverse portfolio of at least 25 stocks that they plan on holding for 5 years, minimum. We believe this pairing is the best way to counteract the whims of the market.

Bad advice - possible market manipulation

3 out of 3 recommendations were all bad! And I lost money on them all, both short term and long term. I don't wonder if it is a pump and dump scheme (market manipulation) as someone else mentioned in their review.
I really wish I had checked the trust pilot reviews before listening to bad inaccurate advise!

Unfair market manipulation

I am tired of seeing the motley fool use other successful trading companies popularity to promote their own recommendations. They are currently using Nvadia by casting doubt and possible poor performance in order to recommend their own alternatives. Surely this has to be illegal?

Trying to take my review down.

So since my last review, which they seem to think is not based on actual customer experience, they have tried to take my review down. I've confirmed all of the information they requested, so I am awaiting their feedback.

Proper Spam and Click Bait

How do you block them out of your news feed? Their articles are unbearable, 20 articles a week about the same stock, 10 saying it’s bullish, the other 10 bearish, one saying stay away from this stock, the other one “I’d buy 1000 shares” of the same stock, seriously at least communicate, I started using Apple News just to be able to block them from my feed, so annoying,

Good value for a price of a weekly cup of coffee

I have been subscribing to Motley Fool UK Share Advisor since June 2020 when I first took the plunge into investing. Five of my current top 10 investments were recommended by the foolish team, it is also fair to say that four of my bottom 5 investments were also those picked from the Motley Fool recommended list of companies. Overall however, I have more than covered the cost of a cup of coffee a week subscription that Share Advisor charge. My view is that as a novice investor the Ice and Fire picks along with Best Buys Now and Starter Stocks provide ideas for companies to invest in, this can then be backed up with further research and information gathered from open sources e.g the press and web based investing/financial media sites. For me, the team have provided and continue to provide a useful starting point for investment decisions.

Contradicting articles all the time

How do I start? One of their headlines says the price of a share is about to skyrocket , next headline “why I should avoid” the same company, and so on and so on, I was silly enough to follow their advice in some companies and now literally losing all the investment, avoid their articles they don’t even communicate to each other before writing the stuff they say

They Kidd themselves I’ve had Lloyd’s shares for over 10 years and cannot wait for that day to come when I can sell them and get my money back that I originally invested .
They are up and down like a yo yo so don’t believe in the b******* that they publish.

**Review:**

**Review:**
My decision to invest a substantial £13,000 in a subscription with The Motley Fool UK was met with anticipation, but my experience has left much to be desired. The inundation of emails, promising lucrative opportunities and sound advice, proved to be overwhelming – often exceeding 1,000 emails every week. Trusting their insights, I diligently followed their recommendations, only to find myself facing losses exceeding £100,000 due to their misleading guidance. Curiously, my candid review, which outlined these financial setbacks and provided concrete evidence, was inexplicably deleted, raising concerns about their transparency. This situation curiously echoes the situation involving the FTC's actions against Warrior Trading, prompting doubts about their ethical practices. Their previously responsive customer service has now fallen silent for an extended period. My objectives stretch beyond seeking a £13,000 refund, as I contemplate collaborating with fellow affected individuals for a potential class action lawsuit against The Motley Fool UK. This review serves as a word of caution to others – emphasizing the importance of thorough research before placing trust in their assurances.

I paid £75 for annual MF membership and only ever get delayed and untimely stock recommendations which have first been given to contributors to Premium / Special Offer advices. Appears that membership is only seen by MF as a gateway to real stock recommendations which demand more and more subscriptions. Avoid as own basic analysis will work for most investors without cost and promotional emails.
