I am profoundly disappointed by the level of service I have received from Fortnum & Mason. As a company renowned for its heritage, refinement, and reputation built over many decades, I expected a standard of service that reflected those values. Sadly, my experience has been quite the opposite.
I placed my order well in advance and specified a delivery date for a very important occasion. Despite providing ample notice, the food was not delivered as requested. This failure is not simply an inconvenience—it has caused considerable upset and frustration, particularly because I chose Fortnum & Mason believing I could rely on a company with such an esteemed history.
For an establishment that prides itself on excellence and tradition, it is deeply disappointing that a basic commitment such as delivering an order on the agreed date could not be honoured. When customers place their trust in a prestigious company, they do so expecting reliability as well as quality. On this occasion, that trust has been let down.
I am extremely upset by this experience. The disappointment is heightened because I expected far better from a company whose name has long been synonymous with exceptional service. This incident has left me questioning whether the standards that once defined Fortnum & Mason are still being upheld.
I hope you will recognise the seriousness of this matter, provide a full explanation as to why my order was not delivered on the agreed date despite the advance notice given, and outline how you intend to put this right
