I had to stop here for a connection flight with Lufthansa Airline to London. I was stressed out on getting my next flight as the poor signage and long walk to another gate. Rude and unprofessional, untrustworthy staff at the security check in, black man security staff put my bag on the tray and hurried me to other security, cannot remain by my bag before X Ray machine - and I found $100 Euro lost from my bag after security check (watch out for the security staff here they are thieves!!). I will NEVER come to Frankfurt airport again.Passengers-LOCK your handbags BEFORE security- staffs not to be trusted. Sad -NOT the once Great Germany I used to know in 1990s- not want to step near Germany again!!

50 euro for getting lost phone back seems excessive and benefitting on ppls misery

Avoid Frankfurt as a connecting airport if you can. Rude and unprofessional security staff they suspected my 12 years old daughter’s bag of explosive hazard and called the police on us. We were surrounded by 5 gun men staring at us which freaked my daughter out who has never experienced such a thing. I asked them why they called the police the answer was this our protocol. This was our third airport on the way back to Calgary the other two airports did not suspect of any explosives in her bag. The airport Building itself looks like a hold up facility of prisoners. We will never connect through this airport ever.

Very busy airport and difficult to navigate. The building of new terminal and the, partial, renovation of the other terminals has not made it easier.
However, as a passenger dependent on assistance I just want to express my gratitude to those who on numerous accounts have assisted me and made it possible for me to travel and work. Only critical issue is that there is little help when the flight is parked on the tarmac. Only when you reach the entry you get assistance. Thankfully, fellow travelers have at times stepped up.

The shuttle bus service taking passengers from the gate to the remote 747 plane for an international flight is so badly run that it cased the flight to be an hour late in taking off!

No doubt why there is a rating of 1.2 Stars. Frankfurt airport still have staff who are racist and rude with people without any reason. I am a women of indian origin. The Lady at the security check decided it's a good day to yell at me because I was slow at removing my shoes and accidently removed my socks, because she only asked me tl remove my shoes, so how dare I. These people have no idea what they are talking to and how. People who are travelling, they are not always travelling for good reasons. Sometimes someone is sick at home , sometimes dead. These people should learn to be kind to people.

Worst transit efficiency in the entire Europe and terrible custom officers - very slow, chit chat with each other while on duty and when there is a long line of people waiting - even worse, they literally got mad upon our inquiry and said “we are chatting, can’t you wait two minutes?” And repeated several times during the work as if it was such a huge bothering for him from chatting. While not serving us, he also stopped us from going to other officers as if we were already in his possession.

The most unprofessional part was that afterwards, the officer left his post, chased us after the custom, and threatened us with words "you'd better watch yourself, be careful" - something I feel expected from a mob member, not a custom officer.

Although we do not think this is the right treatment to be received by any visitors (we were not even visitors to Germany, only doing transit), we did not argue with him, so the encounter was bad but brief - because we indeed felt threatened! What if he retaliated by putting us on hold in some "black room" had we argued? That would significantly delay our trip.

We have visited many countries in Europe - France, Italy, Spain, Czech, Portugal, Ireland, etc. some for several times, but have never felt so un-welcomed and humiliated as what happened today. We have yet to visit Germany, but now I feel it may be the right decision for my family.

Simply the worst people working here to give trash service to visitors, will avoid this airport and go to other hubs in the future.

FraPort Security checks Terminal 2, departures D, waiting & queuing for more than 50 minutes, only 3 belts (out of 10) working. Several hundreds (more than 1000?) people queuing even before scanning boarding pass. Absolutely unacceptable, and also extremely dangerous, irresponsible to keep people crowding in such chaotic ways.

Dirty and broken toilet, waiting for over 2 hours for our luggage. Terrible for a Western airport.

I found myself to look around to find a toilet. The only one in T1 is always busy. The queue starts from the big hall near Starbucks Coffee. Inside no privacy at all.

staff of security control is the worst I have ever had to treat. Iam traveling all over the world but at Frankfurt Airport you will experience unfriendly, incompetent and non professional staff. It is even worst at the business class security check spot.

This review if not based only on one flight but numerous flights taken through years of flying…Frankfurt airport is unorganized, oversized and absolutely not user friendly airport! For the amount of flights they keep on having, shockingly inefficient! The only thing here, that you can count on, is that they will lose you luggage and that your flight will be delayed for whichever reason! If you have connecting flight and no other options then to fly via Frankfurt, arm your self with some serious patience, even though this won’t help.

Took 1.5 hours for them to deliver 2 suitcases to the belt. We were the only passengers there and rest all had connecting flights. Extremely poor service. The signage system needs improvement overall

Worst experience! Never going through Frankfurt airport again. Rude staff. The flight was 2.5 hours late before takeoff.

The worst airport I have ever been too. The customs guys who search your bags refuse to use new gloves to search your bag and will not sanatise their hands. Rummaging throu your bag touching your underwear and clearly enjoying it. After a good feel of my panties and bras they found nothing. Clearly these staff are not professional and chose to take any moment they can to abuse peoples personal items.

The airport is designed by an imbecile.
One arrives at a terminal and to connect to the next flight, one has to walk a marathon, then wait for a bus that may or may not arrive. Having changed to the next terminal, one now has to walk a second marathon to find the gate.
However, the gate is then changed and one has to retrace one’s steps to the next gate.
On the return flight, the gate was changed four times. I am not registered as disabled but have an issue with my back. After the second change my husband was able to flag down an assisted travel cart. Luckily for us, the young man who was driving kindly took us to the new gate. However, once we arrived there, the gate had once again been changed! So, off we go again, back to where we started!
Your staff are exceptionally kind and helpful but, I assume they have to be, otherwise travellers would have rallied to bring the airport to a close.
I don’t know whether you have an inspection authority, but if you do, your rating must surely be INADEQUATE.
Here is some advice: DO NOT announce a gate until it is confirmed.

Honestly, it's all been said. Avaoid this airport if you can

Omg I am terrified here in Frankfurt Airport it’s just disgusting…. Lufthansa cancelled my back to Miami here sleeping with lot of peoples from different flying connections also cancelled it … and believe or not rats everywhere going around us like there’s no tomorrow… everybody here disappointed and tired of waiting … I am about 12 hours and still 10 more hours for next flight they careless about passages rights … PLEASE PLEASE AVOID FLIGHT ANYWHERE FROM FRANKFURTER INTERNATIONAL… don’t fall on my mistake to get a ticket thinking Lufthansa is a serious because there are not they are a joke … Germany it’s not the same I was here about 14 years ago… totally different world here … go downtown Frankfurt and you will see on ur own eyes and said and disgusting it is … people injecting drugs and not help or solution to then … I am terrified….only God for them and to help to this terrible problem this country put it’s self to it . never again I will never again get in this mistake to buy to a ticket through Lufthansa… it’s a joke and humiliating what they doing to me to hundreds of others sit and sleeping on the sits all over the Frankfurt international… Sad

Most disappointing airport experience of our lives. Avoid connecting through here. We were misdirected 5 times by at least 3 staff that were rude, shovey and uncaring as we tried to catch our interconnecting flight. There was only one place to go to depart from low number B gates, and we were repeatedly directed away from this area by various staff members that grouped us in with A gate departures, making us walk the full length of the airport repeatedly for no reason. The airport was understaffed with huge customs backlog lines. If you connect through here, make sure you have at least 4 hours. B gates are ridiculous, you need to take a long bus ride to get to your plane.

First of all, Fraport Management should read the reviews and take action. I am a frequent business traveler and it is absolutely absurd that the waiting time for bagage delivery is about an hour.
This is an important area that requires improvement.
