I have played about 10 Freeform Games so far and most of them were really great! Especially in comparison to other crime dinner party games. I like the interactive rules that are basically applicable... See more

We purchased a block of murder mysteries from Freeform Games almost a year ago and have been using them with our teens' homeschool group. They have loved each and every one of them. So far, we've done... See more
Good murder mystery. Not scripted so everyone has to persue their own investigation which is done by talking to other characters. Can be customised to suit the people who are taking part and adjusted... See more

We really enjoyed the game, Spellbound, it was quite complex but overall everyone had a lot of fun. The games take a lot of work on the front end, but they are super fun. I would estimate it takes about 4-10 hours of prep time, ahead of time (if you have done one before it becomes much easier). But these are so much fun, we will continue to do these each year with our group.
We played the "A Speakeasy Murder" mystery scenario. It was a lot of fun! Everyone had a blast.
We had 22 participants. There are 15 "core" characters, but it supports up to 30 people. Our only complaint is that some of the non-core characters (characters 19 - 22) had a little more superfluous objectives. They were not as busy during the night, and felt like they were just milling around some of the time (however, even these "non-core" people still had fun). Most of the characters were very busy throughout the night. Definetly recommend providing the characters more than the 3-hours, as everyone was rushed in the last couple minutes!
We will be looking at buying another game in the future for sure! However, we will be aiming to fill in mostly the "core" slots, and not try to fill up every slot the game can support.
The game came with very clear rules, instructions, and all the elements needed to play set out in an easily-understandable pdf.
Our superhero game was a TOTAL success. The materials were perfect and easy for our 12 people to follow.
Absolutely loved the experience! We had a lot of fun :)
It's quite a lot for someone who never played a game in such a format (all of us were beginners) but it was a great evening.
we all had a fantastic time.
Well thought out game and timed perfectly
This was our 4th murder mystery game from freeform games and it was maybe my favourite one! The costumes weren’t too diverse but I think that makes this a good first game for people to try as its very approachable.
I hosted Way out West with 18 guests. Everyone had a wonderful time. Guests enjoyed that they all had goals and not everyone had to focus on trying to solve the murder. I will definitely be hosting another Freeform Murder Mystery in the future.
The package provided everything you needed to know how to prepare and have this party game set and ready to go. I would definitely purchase another one. They also left a lot of room for improvisation while providing characters enough structure to guide their actions.
I organized “A Speakeasy Murder” for 32 people and it was great! All my friends were super thrilled. The provided material contains a lot of super useful tips for organizing the night, and Mo is also super responsive! Definitely suggested!
My husband ran "Lord & Lady Westing's Will" for my 40th Birthday. As I am a huge Agatha Christie fan, this game was beyond perfect!! Set in 1935, and with all the twists and turns of a best selling Christie, the game was amazing. Freeform Games design layered, interesting characters, believable plots and provide online support when needed. None of us had played a game like this before and everyone had a brilliant time, with all saying that they would play again. We are now planning our next game!!!
Thank you Freeform games such a fantastic experience.
Amazing experience. Most of our guests had not played a murder mystery before and everyone had a blast. Will be going back to them for our next murder mystery party and I would highly recommend this company to anyone!
I could not recommend this game enough. We purchased Halloween Lies for our annual murder mystery party. The game was super easy to run, and people really got into their characters. The addition of having the crowd come up with movies, and having people act out the scenes was totally different from other murder mystery games we have played. Everyone got so into the skits, and everyone was laughing to the point of tears. It was perfect!
Also special thank you to the team at Freeform Games - I accidentally purchased the Hollywood Lies game and they didn't give me a hard time about swapping out the game code for the one I meant to purchase. I really appreciated that!!
The folks are extremely responsive to email queries. And, I ask about things I purchased over ten years ago!
I recently used their game, The Reality is Murder, and my guests had a blast.
Amazing awesome and wonderful, but I personally decided against using the abilities cards.
I used a 15-32 person game and got 31 people to play. It was so great! I did go against the advise of the instructions and decided to cook all the food myself, and also host by myself without a co-host, and I slightly regretted it. I was running around a lot and had a lot of work to do during the party! But on the other hand, everyone had a great time and really got into character. It was a very enjoyable evening!
Very good games. I have used 2 now and found that they are very thorough in all aspects - definitely recommended if these are your type of games
I really enjoyed hosting a murder mystery night. My only suggestion is to engage a co-host as I was very busy and there was some confusion around timing, but overall my guests were thrilled with the evening.
