Failed to connect me with a merchant for the order number that FT had created. Then the website's phone number 01352 219948 resulted in "This phone number has not been recognised" (!!!)

Appalling non-service

Appalling non-service. No oil delivery within the stated 10 days. Rang supplier. Promised delivery the following week. Again no oil delivery. Rang supplier again. Decided to cancel order and receive a refund. 30 days after placing my order, no oil and no refund. No reply to my e-mail or phone calls to fuel tool. I am now almost £200 out of pocket and have to find the money to get heating oil from elsewhere! Please do not use this company!

Be careful and know the dangers

The first time I used them was fine but the second time I have had problems. The 10 day guarantee was not met and I had to chase. Once I did the company refuse to deliver as they found a couple of cat poops in my alley. Rather than knock and give us a chance to clear up they just drove off. I spent almost a month getting a refund.
My usual oil company, goff, have since made a deliver without issue and payment is made after delivery and not before. The cons of fueltool are that it can be a different company everytime and each with their potential problems.
* I have improved my rating as the company have refunded and apologised. My confidence is restored somewhat with fueltool. It turns out the company refunded immediately after a call from fueltool. Although not clear on their site they will offer assistance with disputes between oil companies and customers. They were very quick at contact and very quick at a resolution. Seems I should have contacted them sooner to help get this resolved.*

False advertising & non existent customer service.

The idea behind fueltool is that you place your fuel order via their website, they then choose the cheapest supplier and the supplier dispatches your fuel order. Simple idea but don't be fooled! Read on for a full review.

On 17/03/2016 We placed our first (and last) order via fueltool, having looked on their site they were advertising a reasonable price and importantly "delivery within 5 working days".

We received an email confirmation stating that our delivery would be within five days.... Five days came and went no fuel. I emailed fueltool and waited for an update a few days passed no response, so I phoned fueltool but no reply. So I sent another email hoping that fueltool would respond, a few days passed but again no reply. It seemed pretty obvious that those behind fuel tool have no interest in customer support. Although the fueltool website has customer support emails when things go wrong they just ignore them.

I next contacted the supplier which fueltool had chosen and explained the situation, they were helpful but admitted they would not be able to get the fuel to me within the week however I would definitely revive the delivery on Tuesday 29/03/16 (over a week late).

Again no fuel arrived I tried contacting fueltool again but got no reply. So back to the suppliers who were totally unsure when the delivery would arrive! So I decided to cancel the order,

As a customer what frustrated me more than anything was fueltool.co.uk had not responded to any of my emails, or called to update me about the possible delays despite having my contact details.

In total it took three weeks since the initial order to get a refund, and still no fuel!

Advice: Do not place an order via Fueltool.co.uk, their delivery dates are blatant lies coupled with non existent customer service simply avoid them.
