Avoid

Avoid this place at all costs if you or your family may need to eat or drink at some time of the day. They ‘cater’ for babies, toddlers and small children, but you can’t actually feed them throughout the day or give them a drink. Once you enter the pool, you’re not allowed out to eat in their own restaurant and return to the pool once finished unless you pay the entire fee again. Never have I heard such nonsense in my life, this place absolutely isn’t child friendly and we won’t ever return. The manager Ashling has zero customer services skills and just repeats unfortunately over and over again. An awful waste of money and 3 very disappointed kids. Far more places around that are actually family friendly

This is the worst "water park" what I…

This is the worst "water park" what I visited ever. The water was to cold and only 20 cm what is a joke. The jacuzzi only for over 18 years old what was the only water which is more than 20 cm. The water games are not working. The food come extremly slow and was disgusting the cheesburger is just the meat and cheese no souce or Vegetable. The bowling was OK. The mini golf was difficult for a kid. It was expensieve and not fun at all. Don't waste your time and money for this!

TOO COLD WATER

TOO COLD WATER.

My little one, which loves water, got instantly purple libs, shivering and didn’t stop saying too cold, too cold… we even complained about that and went ignored by staff and manager. The water park has good structure otherwise.
As the many unsatisfied customers over here, they don’t look like even concerned regarding their reputation.
Horrible customer service so.

AVOID SENSORY HOUR

AVOID SENSORY HOUR
Travelled especially from far away to avail of sensory hour in Soft Play.

Stated on Funtasia’s website (still does currently) that ball shooting machine, air conditioning and music would all be off for this hour. All three were in full swing and exceptionally loud. My little fella was distraught. I asked 2 members of staff, and then a manager, who all (apparently, incorrectly) told me that there’s no way for them to be shut off manually?!! And they didn’t even know that this was advertised on their website and unsure as to why.
I’m then told by funtasia via email that they can switch them off, but this has to be specifically requested. Take a look at their Pirates Cove sensory section and tell me what you think… so disappointed.
It’s claimed that sensory hour is a genuine offering but they haven’t trained 3 separate members of staff that the machines have to be/ CAN BE manually switched off. Says nowhere online that this has to be requested, and even when requested, we were told “sorry, not possible”. This is either an alarming lack of training of staff, of a disingenuous and false advertisement of inclusivity. I don’t know which is worse. Avoid

Absolutely rubbish

There was Funtasia in Bettystown, Co. Meath. I only there twice with my school. I remember I went there for the first time in summer 2005 and I thought it was kinda fun but the one in May 2008 was a total disaster because the entry for the dinosaur exhibition cost a tenner. It was very disappointing. It was probably one of the worst school trips I ever had.

Funtasia was just rubbish. I am glad that I am never going near that place in Bettystown again. Besides the place no longer exists in the same location. Good riddance to that lousy place. I shall always try to forget about it and move on.

Please note this experience wasn't happened on the 24th May 2024. It actually happened in May 2008.

The various activities were open and…

The various activities were open and the staff were good. But the catering was abysmal. A certain phrase relating to organising and breweries springs to mind. Long queues. 30 to 45 minute wait. Unbelievably poor organisation. No management whatsoever. Don’t come here expecting to do activities and get a snack to rest. You’ll spend all your time standing in a queue.

Nothing works, don’t waste your money

The reason we came was mainly to use the arial obstacle course and climbing wall. Called earlier to ensure everything was open. Arrived only to find this area was closed on “most Fridays” according to one staff member, “all Fridays” according to another and “someone will be with you soon” said another.
Tried the VR, wasn’t calibrated properly, the dinosaurs were behind instead of I front and the guns to shoot were broken.
Hook a duck took credits and didn’t work. Clown shooting thing did not recognise the kids had won by getting all the balls in. Disappointment all round.
We enjoyed the bumbers (after 20 min trying to find someone to open them) and air hocky.
I dread to think what the water park is like. I was so disappointed. The closure of the ariel activities should be on The web site or at least all staff members should know.
All the top up machines are working so that’s something!!!!
