Great plants at a reasonable price. Delivered when promised in good condition.

Poor delivery service, waited weeks for plants to arrive, and then delivery company left parcel 150 metres from house on busy road. Most plants in good condition but one is dead and should not have been dispatched. Customer service appalling - only able to speak to AI and waited 8 days for a reply by email which was totally unhelpful. Avoid at all costs

I was very happy with my five plants ordered. The size was bigger than I thought - looking good in my garden.

Do not use. Experienced over several orders - plants arrive much later than advised, often damaged, dead or, in one case, simply represented by an empty pot.
Customer service is appalling, very slow, and refuse to accept fault without detailed specific photos - given the massive delays in responding, it is impossible to take these specific photos of plants that died several weeks earlier. Overall extremely poor quality products, massive delays, and terrible customer service.

So frustrated. There lead time is just unacceptable and so hard to get hold of customer service. I went through the chatbox to cancel my order and days later still no confirmation of the cancellation but instead I got an email for dispatch that I can't track. I believe they are ignoring the request despite not honouring the original lead time. Never again.

Even though my delivery was later than I expected I was kept informed about the delay. The item I received was well packaged and in good condition.

Terrible experience, express is misleading because their delivery takes weeks, ordered as a present for friend, tried to change the address due to friends going away (2 weeks after order) customer service say they will respond in 3 days but takes 5 days.. won’t use them again

Absolutely disgusting company. Avoid!!! Customer service is non existent. You only get a robot who replies and says you'll get an answer within 3 days. It's now been 20 since I first complained. I've heard absolutely nothing back. 6 plants all came in the same box and 2 of them are absolutely infested with thrips. No offer of compensation or refund. Absolutely disgusting. Avoid unless you want your home to be infested and wait 20 days for your plants to arrive. No customer service.

I have paid for my trees it has been a month and I have not recieved my products, no one will return my emails so this is the last resort

Choosing the plants and the advice on the website and their YouTube videos are outstanding. The bargin plants on the website are exceptional..The plants that arrived this week survived the weather due to the team holding back on scheduled delivery. Holding off due to the hot weather. But the plants were in good strong condition. As in larger pots.
I gave it 4 stars because the packaging and delivery combination was border line. I was lucky that the box held together. Due to plant pots, soil, moisture weight and weakness of the cardboard. On arrival the box was damaged. I could feel the moisture that the cardboard box had absorbed and 3 of the pots were squashed but luckily not broken. So they need to improve on the way the plants are packed. Especially the larger and heavier plants. Definitely should not have tried to put all 6, 2L and 5L plant size all in the 1 cardboard box.
Plenty of my friends are not using Gardening Express due to this. As they have lost their plants. I on the other hand do appreciate the offers the company offers and opportunities due to the bargins they get and pass on to the consumer.

I found exactly what I was looking for and at a very reasonable price.
Delivery was timely, the goods were well packaged and I was able to track my order throughout.
I would highly recommend this company.

The Agapanthus I bought arrived in great condition, carefully delivered.
The size and quality of the plants was exceptional, and I found them to be very reasonably priced.

I purchased 2 x Thuja occidentalis Brabant advertised as circa 140–160cm on 8 March 2026. When they arrived 3-4 weeks later), they were clearly not the advertised size, so I contacted the seller straight away to complain.
Rather than resolving the issue, I was asked to send photographs of the plants still in the box. We had already planted them immediately upon arrival because we didn't want them sitting in packaging and potentially dying, so this wasn't possible.
I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and properly look after them. Unfortunately, by July 2026, both plants had turned completely brown and died.
So I received plants that were smaller than advertised, raised the issue at the time, and was then left with two plants that didn't even survive a few months.
Extremely poor experience and certainly not what I would expect when purchasing plants advertised as 140–160cm specimens. I would not recommend this seller and will not be purchasing from them again.

So easy to purchase plants I needed and at great prices. Problem was I purchased other plants too and now need to put them in the garden, at least we now have rain. The plants arrived extremely well packed and are of great quality. Thank you Gardening Express, I will be back again and again. Such a pleasure having a site and company you can trust when buying delicate items.

Terrible. No way of contacting them and 11 days after my order I haven’t received. More fool me, lured by their relatively low prices, but wouldn’t use again. Steer clear!

Easy to use website, great value on plants. Slightly delayed, but communication was good. Arrived well packaged and plants are fabulous

Terrible quality control, late delivery, and non-existent supportUnfortunately, this company is poor, and their delivery provider (DHL) is just as bad. I have ordered from them twice this year, and both orders suffered significant delays of over 15 days from the purchase date.First Order: Arrived covered in powdery mildew (fungus). The salvias could not be planted immediately and had to be heavily trimmed back to remove the disease before they could safely go into the garden.Second Order: Has been stuck in transit with DHL for 10 days, despite an automated email claiming it would arrive 8 days ago.When I followed this up, Gardening Express claimed they do not even recognise the shipment tracking number they issued. They told me a customer representative would take up to three days just to reach out to me.All in all, I will never use this company again. They suffer from poor quality control, terrible courier partnerships, and incredibly slow customer service. Avoid.
