i paid £239 for a cordyline australia tree. Got the tree delivered - it was damaged so contacted the company for a return. I got sent a replacement - nothing like the original. The website says they will vary which i understand, but this one has a split trunk at the top (i ordered a single) and started off with a few leaves, but they are all going yellow and dying. I’ve asked for a refund and tge company are extremely unhelpful. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RETAILER

We were surprised to read that you found us "extremely unhelpful."
When you reported damage to the original Cordyline Australis, we arranged collection and supplied a replacement tree completely free of charge, including all associated delivery costs. We did this as a gesture of goodwill because we wanted you to be satisfied with your purchase.
After receiving the replacement, your concerns related not to damage, but to its appearance and the natural yellowing of some leaves. As living plants, Cordylines can experience transplant shock following transport and repotting, and some variation in shape, structure and appearance is entirely normal. This is clearly stated on our product pages.
Despite being satisfied that the replacement tree was healthy and supplied in good condition, we still offered a resolution. Unfortunately, it appears the real issue was not that we were unwilling to help, but that you were unhappy with the options available under our returns policy.
While we appreciate that our proposed solutions were not the outcome you were hoping for, there is a difference between a company being unhelpful and a company declining to offer terms beyond those it is contractually required to provide.
We stand by the steps taken to resolve this matter, including replacing the original tree at no charge and offering further refund options thereafter.

Great size plant, however suffered with long delivery time.
I managed to find the plant we were looking for, at a reasonable size, instead of elsewhere who were selling shrubs at a starter small pot size. Actually, when it arrived, the shrub was much larger than expected, which was a plus. The only downside, was the length of time between being dispatched and actually delivered. So much so that the plant arrived VERY dry, with a lot of dead leaves that had fallen off. Thankfully, we watered it heavily, and got it in the ground the next day, andit looks like it's going to recover OK.

Good variety of older exotic plants
The company is quite good had ordered bamboo trees/plants before. They did arrive 3 weeks later than promised but in good health. They said they were trying to have more frequent deliveries to my part of the uk. My latest delivery though was 5 months later than promised before it arrived. I had to contact them and they said it would be delivered in 2 weeks. Contacted them every so often. They had problems with their supplier. A good company with reasonably priced trees and plants. But they do have supply problems. If they had fixed there supply problems I would have rated them higher.

However, delivery timelines to the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland can sometimes be longer because we don’t run frequent routes to those areas, which can unfortunately lead to extended waiting times compared to mainland UK deliveries.
We understand how frustrating the delays you experienced would have been, especially the most recent one, and we appreciate your patience while your order was fulfilled.

Communication was excellent - there was a delay in the plant’s availability but I was kept informed regularly. It was the only place I could source a standard pomegranate tree at an affordable price. The tree is beautiful.

The worst company I have dealt with. I was assured of a delivery date for an expensive tree I had ordered so that I could arrange for digger and planter to be here for the tree. We did still supply the tree, along with a partial refund and two free stake posts as a goodwill gesture.

Very happy with my Bougainvillea
I recently ordered two 9-feet bougainvillea and a smaller one from Garden Plants Online. I stumbled across their website while searching for tall climbing trees. Whilst the delivery did take about 3 weeks, they regularly updated me on progress, informing me when the plants left their nursery in Italy. I also reached out to them myself for updates and their response was very timely. The plants are beautiful and they were helpful in giving me advice on how to care for the trees. I would definitely consider purchasing from them in the future.

Absolutely terrible. Not only has the delivery been a week late but they also made us stay at home a whole day giving us a delivery time slot and not even showing up! Terrible costumer service, they don’t give you a tracking no or anything. All they give you is a phone no which doesn’t even work on weekends. So disappointing. I would avoid at all cost!

Our customer service team, like any small business, are real people who are also entitled to time off and do not work 7 days a week.
Ou company did not force you to stay at home all day. A delivery time slot was provided, as is standard with courier deliveries, but delays can unfortunately happen. We also offer the option to leave deliveries in a designated safe place if you’re unable to remain at the property.
We do provide tracking information via the tracking link automatically sent to the email address provided with the order. In addition to phone support, we also offer both email and live chat support for customer queries.
We understand delays are frustrating, but we’d appreciate reviews that reflect the facts.
