GB Foam have been an excellent company to deal with as we have been refurbishing our church building. They have provided helpful advice on foam, they have provided information on fire certificates for the foam and supplied well cut foam pieces in a timely manner. All communication has been promptly responded to and I have been really impressed by their service.

Fantastic company,i made a mistake with my measurements and it was no problem at all to return and get it re-cut to size ,these guys were sooohelpfullfor us and now the foam is spot-on ,THANKYOU SO MUCH for your help and patience.Delivery was quick and easy also ,definitely a 5* service.

I recently ordered two replacement foam cushions for a settee that ife owned for over 10 years and the new cushions are a revelation. It's now like a brand new sofa.

I cannot rate this company highly enough. I sent templates via tracked delivery on friday and received my order on Tuesday. Website was easy to use and when contacted they were very knowledgable and helpful.

Excellent cushion as described. Very happy with our seat cushion which arrived in good condition. The website ordering was very clear and easy to use.

The foam in my patio cushions was old and not bouncing back after sitting on them, so I ordered new foam. I’m very pleased with them and they are much more comfortable. The covering on the foam makes them much easier to put the cushion covers on. I followed the measurement guide but the foam is just a fraction too small. This is why I didn’t give 5 stars.

ISSUE RESOLVED, UPDATE (22/9)

I originally left a 1-star review because I was extremely disappointed with the three custom sofa foams I received. The original shape was much too steep, which significantly reduced the usable sitting area compared with my original cushions.

What made the situation particularly frustrating was the initial communication. I repeatedly explained that my concern was specifically with the foam profile and reduced sitting area, but I felt that my concerns were initially dismissed. I had relied on the company's advice when selecting the shape in the first place, so I found this especially frustrating.

However, I am updating my review because the matter has now been successfully resolved.

Simon, the manager, was eventually very helpful and acknowledged that the original seating area was effectively too small. He worked with me to find a solution and arranged for new foams to be made for me to try before proceeding.

I have now received and tried all three new foams, and I am very happy with them. They are much closer to what I was originally expecting, and Simon successfully helped resolve the issue and replace all three foams.

I still feel that the initial handling of the problem was unnecessarily frustrating and that my concerns were dismissed at first. However, I think it is important to acknowledge that Simon eventually listened to my concerns, recognised that the original result wasn't suitable, and worked with me until the issue was resolved.

Overall, although the initial experience was very frustrating, I am happy with the final result and appreciate Simon's help in getting everything sorted.

ORIGINAL REVIEW-

I am absolutely furious with this company. I paid £187 for three custom sofa foams, and what should have been a straightforward custom order has turned into an absolute nightmare.

The order arrived on 29 August, and I contacted them immediately on the same day because the foam profile was clearly wrong. The dome was cut far too steeply, leaving a sitting area of approximately 47 × 44 cm, which is dramatically smaller than the sitting area of my original IKEA cushion.

I provided the measurements requested, including 12.5 cm base height and 5.5 cm dome height, and relied on their own staff’s advice when selecting the dome shape.

I have explained repeatedly that my issue is the foam profile and the size of the sitting area. I am NOT complaining about the firmness, overall height or lack of Dacron. Yet they repeatedly pushed Dacron and then a doming pad, despite me clearly explaining that I do not want either. I want the actual foam to be cut with the correct profile and a larger sitting area.

I even asked whether they could simply make a new piece of foam with the same general domed shape and dimensions, but with a less steep transition into the seating area. Instead of giving me a clear answer, their responses have become slower and slower.

Today is 11 September. It has now been 13 days since the order arrived and I reported the problem immediately. I have repeatedly chased them and I am STILL waiting for a clear resolution.

What makes this even more frustrating is that they were initially responding very quickly. Once I started rejecting the Dacron/doming-pad suggestions and asking them to actually address the foam profile, the communication became increasingly slow.

I should also point out that this correspondence has been with the manager, not simply a general customer-service representative. Despite this, I am still unable to get a clear resolution to a straightforward issue with my order.

The packaging was also awful. The foam arrived in a large, flimsy cardboard box with no apparent waterproof protection. The box was wet, wrinkled and extremely fragile. It was lucky the foam itself wasn't damaged.

I contacted this company immediately. I have been patient. I have explained the same issue over and over. I have asked a simple question about how they intend to correct the foam itself. And after nearly two weeks, I am still chasing them for an answer.

For £187, this is completely unacceptable. The product and, even more so, the customer service have been an absolute disappointment.

Payment made and taken. Delivery date specified as required. Not dlivered despite the £12 (inc vat) dlievry charge. No response.

The luxury soft foam for seat backs is not luxurious, soft, or suitable for seat backs, despite what their website claims.

There are no refunds, as every order is made to measure, which is fair enough, but if you're looking for a comfortable seat-back cushion, I'd look elsewhere.

They've been pretty responsive, to be fair, and their customer service is fine; just beware before ordering, as you'll end up out of pocket and lumbered with a tough bit of useless foam that you'll need to dispose of.

GB Foam direct are a brilliant company and really helped me to get exactly what I was looking for. The whole team were great, but especially Sophia who walked me the whole process to make sure I got what I needed and I'm delighted with the result. Highly recommend them.

Great service from GB Foam Direct!

I initially chose them because their video explaining how to measure the foam made the whole process easy to understand and follow. I was also advised to draw the shape I needed and post it to them, which worked brilliantly.

It was such a quick, straightforward and inexpensive way to bring our sofa back to life. The replacement foam fits perfectly, and we're really pleased with the result.

I would definitely recommend GB Foam Direct to anyone needing replacement foam and would happily use them again in the future. Great service throughout!

I ordered foam for 2 of my sofa cushions, the following morning I received a phone call from Sophia who had realised my measurements were not correct.
She helped me through the measuring process, being extremely helpful and patient.
2 days later the foam arrived and fit perfectly, my sofa looks brand new again.
I very much appreciated the help that Sophia gave enabling the cushions to be exactly what i needed.
