Well, I'm really disappointed with that company. It's 5 April 2026, the day I'm writing this comment, and I'm still waiting for a refund of 250 euros from my deposit. Because, yes, guys, the price of renting the cars can be cool, but! You have to pay an extra 250-euro deposit, and you risk never seeing that money again. They give you a fake Trace audit number for your bank in case you have a problem with the refund, but I've shown that to 2 different banks, and neither couldn't do anything with that number. Because Banks need an ARN number, which I've asked Getaround for,and they replied that they couldn't provide it...

Very good system for renting a car and easy to use, unfortunately the car wasnt safe to drive light bulb of head light was faulty , oil level.was showing and no wipers at the back. Also the car body was damage from everywhere , not nice to arrived to a wedding with a car like that I had very important meetings too doesn't show my professionalisme.
Other wise its really close to the airport , easy with the tram (not early in the morming as tram start at 5h15 am) but easily walkable to T1 .

Positive experience overall. The app is simple, nicely designed and user-friendly. The rental, pick-up and drop-off process are very easy to go through and well signed-posted.
Having said that, I was surprised that requesting to change the drop-off time by 1 hour resulted in a 4 Euros charge. It was not clear why there was an added charge, it doesn't appear on the invoice, indicating that none of it is passed to the owner. This was annoying and uncessary.

Hello, yes it is such a great system for local inexpensive car hire. Amazingly flexible whether for a few hours or days. We hired for two days and it all worked without a problem. We had contact with the owner out of courtesy, but that is not a requirement. I have worked in promoting such schemes, and it is so good to see one in operation.

Very helpful owner who replied promptly to my queries. Car could have done with a vacuum , but otherwise fairly clean . I couldn't get the car navigation to work with my Iphone. The car itself was fine and drove well. Would not hesitate to recommend this service.

A Nightmare on Wheels: The GN732KW Disaster
I rented a Citroën C3 GN732KW via the Getaround application from ‘En Voiture Germaine’ from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport, and let me tell you—it was an absolute FIASCO from start to finish.
1. Communication? What Communication?
The pre-rental information was a mess — vague at best, inaccurate, and utterly useless. Initially, the car was supposed to be parked in an underground garage at the Mercure Hotel (PR parking), Charles de Gaulle Airport. Less than 30 minutes before pickup, the location changed without warning. The new instructions? As clear as mud.
2. A Rolling Trash Heap
Question: What’s the difference between a trash can and the GN732KW Citroën C3?
Answer: A trash can has handles, but at least it doesn’t pretend to be roadworthy.
The exterior of the car was FILTHY — so dirty that it was impossible to tell if the multiple marks were scratches, dents, or just years of accumulated grime. Clearly, the car hadn’t been washed in weeks—possibly months.
3. Danger on the A77 motorway: When "Maintenance" Is Just a Suggestion...
Picture this: I’m driving down the A77 motorway at 130 km/h, and it starts to rain. I go to use the windshield washer... Nothing. Not a drop :-(
I stopped at the nearest petrol station, filled up the screen wash container—only to discover that it was badly leaking. The washer system was completely broken!!!
At this point, I had to ask myself: When was this car last checked for safety? Has it EVER been inspected?
I immediately contacted both Getaround and ‘En Voiture Germaine’. Instead of taking responsibility, they played a pathetic game of 'ping-pong', bouncing the blame between each other, hoping I’d eventually give up and go away. I only had the car for seven days, and they wasted time deliberately ignoring the issue.
Let me remind them of some basic facts:
A. Windshield washer fluid is a legal requirement in France. A car must have a functioning system—otherwise, it fails inspection.
B. If stopped by the French Gendarmerie, I could have been fined €68 for a third-category offense. Would 'En Voiture Germaine' have covered that fine? Doubtful.
4. The Mystery of the Missing Aerial
As if the rental couldn’t get any worse—no proper FM stations the entire time. At the end of the rental, I discovered why.
The radio aerial was missing. Someone—either a previous renter or ‘En Voiture Germaine’ themselves —had removed it and left it in a door pocket. Another clear sign that this car was never checked before being rented out.
To this day, I have received no explanation, no apology, and certainly no financial refund for this miserable experience.
Final Verdict: AVOID AT ALL COSTS
If you can afford to rent from Hertz, Avis, or any reputable national car rental company—DO IT.
Save yourself the headache. Getaround clearly don't care about safety, customer experience, or even basic maintenance.
This wasn’t just a bad rental. It was a joke—except no one was laughing :-(

Super expensive - it’s a joke
Super expensive. 180 euros for 4 days in an old fiat panda. Then was charged 25 euro cleaning fee for a few grains of sand. The car was already dirty when we picked it up. The app should have told us to clean the car, as it wasn’t stated when we checked in or out of the car. It’s an absolute joke. Would not recommend. Other friends booked with other companies, paid less and got far nicer cars. Will not be booking with getaround again.
