Poor communication & Unexplained delivery date change
Unfortunately, my first experience has been a poor one, I received a date for delivery for my door for the 1st of September this was confirmed as the exact date of delivery on the 19th August . I am arranging the install so had arranged a builder and waste disposal for that day, then yesterday without notice, I received a subsequent email telling me that my delivery date is now the 2nd of September. No courtesy call no explanation. When i try and call the number and select option three for questions about existing orders, the phone rings and then goes to a voicemail.

I have taken a look at your order and sadly, there appears to have been an admin error, for which I can only apologise. When the date of the 1st September was provided, it should have been advised that this was a week commencing date for delivery and not an exact delivery date.
Your exact delivery date has been confirmed as the 2nd September, which is the soonest delivery date we could offer, as the manufacturer does not deliver to your delivery postcode on a Monday.
Please be assured that these types of admin errors are not the norm for us, and I appreciate that this may have caused some inconvenience for your project.
This has been discussed at length with our orders team to ensure this type of error does not repeat again in the future, along with your feedback regarding to calls.
Once again, please accept our apologies. If there is anything else we can do to assist you, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Well done GFD with the Korniche Bi fold…
Well done GFD with the Korniche Bi fold doors excellent in all respects.
Being a little picky as I am
A little bit of swarf was left where drainage holes drilled could be deburred/blown out.
Out side protection film was trapped under glazing gaskets.
Should have stripped it before I fitted glass.
Great doors great service
Integral blinds admired by everyone. and the blind/glass delivery driver actually carried the glass up a slope for me seeing me struggling (above and beyond expectations)

Door wrong size by 10mm each side
The door is incorrect size for the frame delivered by 10mm each side. I appreciate this is currently being reviewed but overall the composite door is low quality product.

Easy, good value and great service
I researched a number of local installers, but all were considerably more expensive. GFD homes were that bit cheaper than I could buy a door that would have been out of my budget using a smaller installer.
Ordering, survey and installation was all first class and I would not hesitate to recommend.

Would have been 5 if not the latest…
Would have been 5 if not the latest conversation post door installation.
Beautiful door. There was a few issues as size of my old door is not standard. Lots of back and forth but eventually their installer managed to find a solution.
Most people I spoke to were nice and helpful.
The only issue I have is I found there was lack of communication about the lock I chose. If I leave the door inside the lock and shut it by mistake there is no way to get back in even with a key. I truly believe this type of lock shouldn't be sold without handle. I didn't want thumbturn to avoid my kids opening the door themselves, issue now is a whole different level

Great value, professional replacement door
Just had a new solidor front fitted by GFD Homes. We had a number of quotes for the same specification. One quote as over £500 more and the lead time was 12 weeks. From placing the order with GFD the door was fitted within a month. Engaging with the firm before placing the order as a breeze. Carla was a pleasure to work with. Door fitted in 3 hours quality of workmanship great. No mess to clear up.

Quickest delivery and most cost effective
GFD homes could deliver the for much sooner than most other suppliers and the price was very competitive. Their customer care is easily available during business hours and very helpful.
One aspect that could be improved is the pricing mechanism. My initial quote didn’t seem to include the price for letter plate even though I had added it. That was discovered when I asked for change in colour of letter plate, and I was charged for that separately.
