Received a call from customer services who are brilliant, thank you. double checked the size and spec. placed the order. the glass was delivered when stated. the lantern followed the next day, again as stated. everything was well packed. it was fitted, with no issues. looks fantastic.

Top notch service
Just had a new Solidor composite door & side panel fitted. Really pleased with the end result and I have to say the communication all the way through the process was superb, constantly updated via e-mail.
Fitted within a few weeks of order and the fitting company Martindales were also great, really friendly, tidy fitters.
Final things was price was also really competitive so all round very happy. Would happily recommend.

Great Service From GFD Homes

Great experience
Ordered two Smart Signature doors recently from GFD and had a great experience. I really liked the fact that they had a comprehensive designer (more options than other sites that I’d seen) which explained the different options well, and was around £400 cheaper overall than another retailer.
Was also impressed with the customer service. I did have to get in contact via their live chat (prior to ordering), as I had a couple of questions, and they were very quick to respond. I also emailed them the week before delivery to query when I’d receive the definitive delivery date and they responded in less than an hour explaining when I’d receive this (the manufacturer apparently gives this out a lot later than I would’ve expected).
Would definitely recommend!

Do not use this company
Do not use this company. I am deeply unsatisfied with my door and window combination. This is a website and GFD Homes failure as it is NOT POSSIBLE to order cills for the side panel windows as part of the order process.
I chose a low ali threshold for the door and was then unable to chose a cill for the window thus presuming the low ali cill would be made for the width of the combination - this is not the case.
GFD Homes are refusing to take any accountability for their website flaws.
Do not use this company!!!!!

I’m sorry to hear you have been left dissatisfied with the service you have received from our team.
We have been unable to identify an order under your name, and as you have not provided an order number, we have had to assume this review is based on an experience with a customer of ours under a different name.
When reviewing the details of this order, we can see the type of threshold selected is not compatible with a cill; this is due to it already having a ramp at the front for wheelchair access. As thresholds hold no purpose or functionality for side panels, the threshold will only be supplied at the width of the door, which is how it was received.
We do offer an alternative low aluminum threshold, which would have been compatible with a cill, but unfortunately, this choice was not selected when you designed the door.
Alongside choosing a threshold, customers are also required to select the type of drainage they want for their door; in this case, the drainage selected was not compatible.
As there was no cill on this order, we agree the drainage you selected should not have been manufactured; therefore, we have offered remake side panels with a different drainage which is compatible.
We invite all customers prior to purchasing to discuss any specification details with our team to ensure everything arrives as it is expected and is not based on assumptions. This is particularly important for technical aspects such as drainage and the threshold option, which should also be checked with the installer of the new door.
At this stage, as we have offered remake side panels free of charge, there is no further action we feel is required. If this was not the resolution you wanted, we can only apologise.

Couldn’t recommend GFD enough, our door is stunning front and back.
They were prompt in delivering the door and their website is great, I love how you can upload a picture of your house to see how the door will look before you order.
If you want a good quality door at a good price with a great range this is the place to go.
