We ordered a new front door and were…
We ordered a new front door and were given a delivery date, door didn’t appear and no contact from the company. They blamed the delivery company and gave another date, same again they blamed the delivery company. After many phone calls they told me the door was lost in transit. I think they should have pulled out the stops to supply another door quickly but the just offered a refund. In fairness they dealt with the refund quickly but they’ve held my project up by at least a month. Would never recommend them to anyone.

In my time at GFD Homes I can honestly say I have never encountered a door going missing all together, I can assure you that this is absolutely not the norm and is under investigation by the carrier to understand what went so wrong.
We would have been more than happy to supply a remake door given the circumstance but you had advised the team you would like a refund and to cancel the order.
We always would prefer to offer a remake so we could fulfil your order and leave you feeling satisfied however as you opted for the refund we worked on this quickly to resolve your issues.
Once again I can only apologise for the issues you have encountered, we'd be happy to discuss it further if you'd like to give us a call.

Roof Lanterns, transform your home.
After doing a lot of homework looking and reading about roof lanterns and viewing youtube channels a company name came up on my phone.. GFD Homes, they are a local company to me based near Stockton riverside college who have a showroom which was very helpful as I could actually go and see the product I was looking for, the staff where very helpful showed me and the wife a video that is available on line for anyone to view, they explained the different types and sizes and the great prices.
The rest is history the roof Lantern is in and fitted and two very happy customers who's home has totally been transformed friends and family have totally give it the wow factor.
If I had one disappointment it was the delivery, the delivery driver was unable to help it wasn't his Job to unload the Lantern which is not helpful when the lorry is on your front, the letter you get on purchasing states, is they someone to assist the driver, you get a date but not a time for delivery only between 8-5, you can't have friends or family or workmen hanging around all day waiting to unload the delivery, mine got delivered approx 2pm luckily a passing neighbour gave me a hand, maybe you could be given a choice on purchasing if you needed the Lantern unloading at a small cost? By having an extra person in the cab who can unload your product, If I bought a fridge it would be delivered to my kitchen and not by my neighbour.
other to that every thing else was perfect from viewing , purchasing and even you can buy now paylater which was a great help as I was having a lot to pay out at the time.
Tip for purchaser...plan ahead it could take 3weeks or more from ordering as its made from scratch to suit your needs.
Think on how you are going to get you glass and fittings on to the roof, glass is heavy. think about having multi spars in the window to reduce the overall glass sizes rather one large span of glass.

Our team are always happy to try and assist where possible with a time slot on the day of delivery to try to narrow the window for our customers, we'd recommend calling in on the morning of delivery and we will try to get as much information as we can, alternatively, the driver should call ahead.
We advise our customers that delivery is curbside due to our manufacturer's following strict manual handling regulations however I would be more than happy to pass your feedback on as we are always happy to look at new ideas to ensure we're serving our customers.
