Green Measures 

Had french windows fitted in lounge, fitters were very efficient, clean and tidy and the overall finish, beading etc was excellent

having recently had 2 doors fitted to our property we are highly delighted with the end result. we did hit some problems as one of the doors was too narrow so this had to be changed and green measures swiftly came back out to see us and changed the order.
the after service has been second to none and in fact we have just ordered two firestone rubber flat roofs for the garage and extension so we are really pleased we were introduced to green measures and would happily reccomend them.

I received a cold call from this company back in June last year (2020) and they were fortunate that due to a small fire, my new bedroom window had been damaged. They sent a salesman round but the price he quoted for just the bedroom window was more than I had just paid to their competitor (The window had only been fitted a couple of months previously).

The salesman noticed that I also needed a new front door and shop front window. I had a few quotes for that before and couldn't afford any of them; which ranged from £2500-£10,000 just for the shop front.

I explained I couldn't really afford to have the shop front done as well as I would struggle to raise even £2000 for the lot. After a few calculations I was given a quote of just £1900 for the whole shop front and the replacement window upstairs, so I paid a £380 deposit.

A few weeks later, their surveyor came round to make some proper measurements. Then he dropped the bombshell that he wasn't made aware that it was a shop front and it would need special glass which would be much more expensive.

I told him I could only afford £2000. He said he'd make some enquiries back at the office and they would give me a new price.

After that they went very quiet. I heard nothing for a month so I started chasing them. They gave the excuse that due to COVID, they couldn't get hold of the people who make the glass. Since it was getting close to the end of my cooling off period. I stressed that if it was much more expensive I would have to cancel the order and would want my money back. They assured me that since the delay was at their end, I would still be able to claim a refund if necessary.

A few more phone calls and 4 months later. They finally called me to arrange a fitting date. I was very pleased that after all the worry, they told me that their original quote was unchanged.

They completed the work on schedule and although they didn't fit new surrounds, I expected that for the price, although they did leave it tidy. They even re-fitted the blinds that they had to remove in order to get to the window. I later got my builder to come in and fit a new surround and I'm very pleased with the result. I really can't grumble for the price I paid!

Having read the negative reviews, I'm glad I waited and didn't need to ask for my deposit back.

What can i say. i am really happy with the company. i had all my windows and doors changed. very well mannered staff. I will be having my faciacs done as soon as i have the funds

Terrible company! Cold called my elderly mother who has the beginnings of dementia and took £500 deposit from her
I cancelled in writing on her behalf and they have taken no notice, not got the deposit back and still pestering my mum. You can't get through to speak to anyone and they never return your call. Do not touch this company with a barge pole, they are just scum conmen.

Took deposit in OCT 2019 and has never done the work. Still havent recieved refund deposit cheque in the post even after legal proceedings. Lie after lie from the staff and directors completely ignoring customers. Owes a lot of people a lot of money! Stay a million miles away!!!

Whole thing went seamlessly - polite, punctual and all our requests were met. Happy with the work - new composite door looks so much better and really keeps that draught out!
Will definitely be looking to do some more work in the next few months..
The young lady who called me back to confirm my appointment was very professional and polite. She is a credit to the company.
The young gentleman who attend called Andrew was amazing! Hes also is a credit to the company he was very polite and professional. During this crisis I was afraid of letting anyone into my home but Andrew has his full PPE on and his visor. I was very impressed by how everything is carried out at Green Measures. I will be calling back in a few months and asking for Andrew to pay a visit.

Had all A rated glass throughout the house and I have to say the whole job ended up been better than my initial expectations and me and my wife are thoroughly pleased.
The fitters were brilliant and did a fantastic job.

Can’t fault the work. My glass was replaced in all my windows and the house is much warmer. However I would prefer an itemised bill showing clearly the cost of each window and doors . I would like to see the final total then any discounts and trade in amounts deducted so that I could compare their price with another company.

Just had a patio door fitted today and it's the best thing I've ever do e to the room. The fitters were ABSOLUTELY brilliant a so polite and courteous and extremely helpful and well mannered , so much so my daughter is now having two windows replacement by the company . If anyone is reading these reviews to decide weather to use green measures then do it they are Fantastic

Having recently had a full house of windows and doors completed by Green Measures - I have to say me and my husband are thoroughly pleased as this has transformed the house.

The fitters were brilliant - clean, tidy and well mannered. The job was finished within the day and we were very happy with the entire process. The chap that came to see us originally - explained everything in great detail.

Having recently had replacement glass fitted at two properties I have to say ignore the bad reviews as I have only had pleasant experiences with this company.
I was firstly recommended by my sister who also used them and we are all very glad we did as it helped me sell one property and made mine a lot warmer so THANKYOU once again green measures and I wouldn’t hesitate to use or recommend the company

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
They knock on doors and pick on the elderly and vulnerable to fleece money out of them. Absolutely shocking, we are still waiting on a refund, only phone number is their service dept which promises to get it sorted but 4 months later still no contact. Please warn your elderly parents about them

I was given a price to replace my Windows and have a bubble fitted round my house I paid the deposit then read the total price and realised I could not afford this so cancelled the visit and asked for a refund of my deposit I have rung 6 times and emailed still no cash not even the an answer to the email do not use this company they are conman and using the covid as an excuse not to refund the money Total rubbish

After numerous issues and same as the others director who has the right to issue cheque etc never happens. My issue is , I have tried amicably to sort issues out but its like dealing with infantile. Six phone calls and numerous e mails for snagging to be done, final sign of and guarantee. No answer. Well, not asking anymore, no alternative but to bring it to a legal level and I wont be paying court costs. As for Paul Stokes, quick to take the money. Oh I'm here if you need me and when you do the idiot makes out his on holiday in some exotic country whilst driving an old clapped banger. Think this company would of provided some smart lease car. Seems a lot of people put reviews on and do nothing about the service and product they paid for.

After being recommended this company by a pushy salesperson, a quote for lintel work and replacement windows was arranged. This came to £5400. A deposit of £1000 was taken. Two people arrived at the house, and it was found they were not qualified to do the lintel, they replaced the glass in a few hours. Dispute arose about paying for the work. The company demanded the rest to make 5400 and threatened to come and take back the glass windows. Eventually some payment sum was agreed. We have given them 3400 in total. Their work was poor, they didn't send anybody who could assess the work required properly, they have left the carpet in a terrible state, the patio doors leaking water through, damaged sealant, dirt everywhere and the house is colder as the doors let cold through into the room. Awful. As things stand I would not even give one star, I don't know to trust them to rectify anything. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody, and want to warn about cold selling too. I wish I could've prevented this from even going ahead in the first place. Very bad experience overall.

Removed-old windows in safe and conscientious way plus cleared all old windows and frames away,
No damage to tiles in kitchen or any where else, windows put in are very well fitted fitters where very good on health and safety aspects especially at this time as all is difffrent at the moment due to covid rules, turned up on time only had one mishap due to putting window in on new frame but was rectified within a week, no problems whatsoever,very good windows cannot fault them at all, thank you Fiona at head office for your follow up call.

Latest scam appears to be pandemic vouchers offering discounts for new windows. I get regular calls from these guys ignoring the fact that I have signed up to the TPS.

We all know these discounts are fictional

This time the call was from the “Leeds office” The number I was rung from was 01942316019 and yet this is a Wigan number and the salesman had no idea that the company is based in Chester.

Apparently all the bad reviews have been posted by their competitors but I am more inclined to think that their positive reviews were posted by themselves.

Caveat Emptor

And no I am not a competitor just fed up with the regular calls and the fact that they do not give up.

As seems to be the case with the mass majority of people reviewing, scam company. Avoid like the plauge. Been trying to get our deposit back for a year now, spoken to 10 different people, all say they'll pass it onto the correct department to sort a refund. Never happens. They've said everything from the cheque just needs to be signed by the, seemingly imaginary director, to the finances department will call you right back. They then have the cheek to ring you back a month later asking why you've cancelled only to then insult you down the phone about having bad dreams making you cancel the order, rinse and repeat this several times. Also terminate your calls when you ask to speak to someone who can sort a refund. Please do your research and avoid them like your life depends on it.

I along with many others have fallen foul of this company. I had a visit from Paul Stokes who gave me a quote for upvc windows to be installed. I paid a £900. I asked for any samples or a brochure of different styles, but was told a window is a window!! I slept on it and decided I didn't wish to go ahead that visit was on 31st October, after numerous phone calls I was told it would be 28 days to refund, not sure why it should take this long, there was no mention of that on the purchase order. I phoned today after being told I would receive the refund on Friday just gone. I am a pensioner who cant afford to lose this money, I have been fobbed off yet again, so now taking next steps, emailed their complaints dept this morning next step is to contact the police as this is Fraud, small claims court, please do not use this company.
