The Doctor by Lisa Stone
Fantastic addictive reading. Could not put it down. Read in a day. If you've read Lisa's other books you will not be disappointed. Could easily be a TV drama.

Ashes to Amish. A different kind of book than usual but very good. A story about a girl that was kidnapped when she was young. When the one who kidnapped her dies and leaves her with her aunt and cousins she is mostly working for them. It is a lot like the Cinderella story. Until an Amish man sees her and everything changed.

BEST SITE EVER! So many books added and it very easy to add a new one. Usefull lists, love them.

I enjoyed reading 'I will kill you in my dream' by Kristina Gallo. She is a talented author who will, I believe, go far with her stories. I found her characters in Croatia a little scary - particularly Sandra and the German, Danijel - both of whom die. But I felt that Kristina captured the feelings of many young teenaged girls, and I have high hoped for her future as a writer of fiction. Phil Rowan

A pretty good website for logging the books that you're reading.

I like to do videoblogs about books I've read. I would use this site more if there was a way to embed Youtube videos

I think it’s an insanely bad business practice to receive annoying e-mails from you, and to not have any easy way (or any way at all??!?!?!!!?) to unsubscribe via either the app or the website from a mobile device. I need to go to a physical computer and login to the desktop version of the website in order to do so!

Obviously, you have set things up this way to purposely make it difficult for us to unsubscribe from alert/reminder e-mails. For shame! What a real slimy thing to do. Two thumbs down.

Great place to list your books to keep track of what you want to read and get new recommendations for books. Also a good place to search for books and see what other people thought about them

I love Goodreads! Finally, a social network for bookworms. No kids' photos, no vague statuses, just books. Love it!

One star down is just for the slow and obsolete website + app. It could use some retooling and more intuitive functions. App can be horribly slow at times.

buggy website and crappy customer support

Love this site (and app). I am an avid reader and you can get reliable ratings and reviews for books here. I also enjoy keeping track of what I have read, rating books and taking part in the annual challenge to read a self-decided number of books - Goodreads helps you track your progress with your reading challenge. You can see updates from friends, recommendations, what they are reading or want to read. Have entered giveaways and been sent books free in exchange for an honest review. It's a good way to keep a note of things you want to read in the future and the recommendations for me have been fairly accurate based on what I have read and reviewed already. I also love the Quote of the Day emails.

I'm a little puzzled by the 1-star review below as your Goodreads profile includes your date of birth so unless you lie or leave it blank, I can't imagine that inappropriate content would be recommended to minors (if they are allowed to have accounts - I think like with social media the minimum age is 13). CommonSenseMedia.org rate them 4 stars as safe for teenagers to use.

Goodreads should be a site exclusively for adults because they reccommend pornographic books to readers who enjoyed these young adult books:

My 13 year old daughter asked my help to open a goodreads account marking Twilight and Red queen as books she has read. Based on her preferences Goodreads sent her invitations to read and rate books like Black Dagger Brotherhood, Captive Prince and A court of Mist and Fury. I'm well-read and know for a fact the books Goodreads recommended aren't books suited for readers 12-17 due to their explicit portrayals of sex and rape.
I was lucky enough to be right next to my daughter when this happened, but what about the children and families who don't know Goodreads recommends adult books to children? I'm blocking goodreads from the sites she's allowed to visit and I recommend other people to do the same

Goodreads keep me busy. Before I buy a book, I come here to read the reviews. I read the negative reviews first then I go for the positives. Sometimes, I spend up to three hours reading the reviews and laughing my head out. I have hundreds of books in my To Read Section that I haven't opened. I have at least 50 books in my Currently Reading Section of which I only opened five. How I wish I can just read books and don't have to worry about paying bills! Love the site.

What can I say. I absolutely love this website! It regularly picks up the latest trends and, so far, never let me down. Also it's a great way to keep track of my books I'm currently reading.
Due to Goodreads, I also discovered some new, awesome writers, which I have never head of before and probably would have missed out. So definitely five stars for this website!

Absolutely love this website, keeps track of all my books and you can see what books are trending, won what awards and which ones are being made into films.
They also have a book giveaways of which I've won four.

I love books and good reads is just the place like heaven to me. Only problem I faced that they are not shipping books from their site. They just put the links from where to get the book. Ok, but it would be more nice if they had an option to buy books from them.
