My boyfriend received a letter from GroupNexus claiming he stayed at Arun Retail Park for 15 hours. This is a complete fabrication. He only popped into a shop for a few minutes in the evening to retur... See more

Disgusting organisation
Disgusting organisation. No way of contacting them or speaking to anyone. It's all about money. They are scam artists and a true representation of how awful the UK has become
ZERO Stars really
ZERO Stars really. Bunch of crooks. Charged me a penalty even after I had paid for regular parking. Wouldn't accept my appeal. And didn't even give me a refund on my car parking fee paid or credit towards their penalty. Really unhappy.
Scammers! boycott Nexus
Scammers!! Do not ever use them .. I would rather get a fine from the council then to park with these vampires .. and you will get a fine if you park on any car park managed by them .. just look at the rest of the reviews
Any shops or businesses which car park is managed by nexus .. i will leave them a review or comment on social media to let them know I won’t be bringing my business to them because they are associated with these scammers
Worst parking provider - will send you a ticket
Do not park here! Only method of payment is the app that never works. They will play ignorant and send you a ticket even if you move your car as soon as you realize there is no way of paying. Customer service is non existent. Phoneline is just an automated system. Recommend staying well clear of this whole company and any site that uses them.
Con Artists
Just received a ticket from these con artists saying ive over stayed when infact my ticket was still valid when exiting the car park!
It seems they dont allow anytime to find a space and buy a ticket before they start the clock & then deduct that time from the ticket you purchase,. so your ticket hasn't ran out, but they fine you anyway!
Scammers!!
Terrible company, predatory practices
This company capitalises on enforcing extortionate parking charges designed to catch you out. Even when you have paid for the parking they are still trying to extort money out of you. Shameful company and will never use their services ever again.
Extortion disguised as parking management
Avoid this company at all costs. Groupnexus is the textbook example of everything wrong with private parking enforcement. I received a "notice" for an alleged violation in a poorly signed, confusingly marked area — no warning, no clarity, just a demand for money.
Their communication is robotic and deliberately intimidating. The appeals process? Don’t bother. It’s a dead-end designed to waste your time and wear you down. They don’t engage with facts or evidence — just automated rejections and veiled threats to escalate if you don’t pay.
This isn’t about managing parking — it’s about squeezing every penny they can from honest people through unclear rules, obscure signage, and legal loopholes. It’s predatory, plain and simple.
I’ll be avoiding any location tied to this company in the future, and I recommend others do the same. Absolutely disgraceful.
I usually park at Luton mall car park…
I usually park at Luton mall car park and always pay for my parking. However, one evening the ticket machine was not working, There was a sign stating ' machine not working. Proceed to exit.' After several attempts to stiil try to use the machine, we took a photo of it as evidence and exited the premises. Several weeks later I received a letter with a parking charge. I appealed it,explained that we were unable to pay due to a faulty machine and I submitted the photo as evidence. Despite this I received an email some weeks later stating that my appeal had been declined as there are notices at the front stating that we must pay to park. This is absurd!
Money making thieves
Parked at Shrewsbury hospital where clearly said staff parking straight ahead and public parking to the left, to go into public parking you need to drive through the staff car park no other way , paid for parking and got a fine. Appealed but apparently the signs are compliant, would love to put a picture up here to buy unfortunately it won't let me . Shameful company and don't know how they get away with it.
Disability discrimination app
Wow, how awful can a business be. This must the worst for disability and age discrimination. How they expect the older generation to register their cars for parking. The app looks as though it has been written by a 2 year old. How many codes do you need to register a car with a blue badge. Once again disregard for the disabled community.
Had a letter from them saying i had…
Had a letter from them saying i had been parked in a carpark over night, but I was only there for less than an hour buying trainers. Totally unreasonable company. I think they are either having trouble with their cameras or don't earn enough money
Disgusting Parking Company - Take the license
Group Nexus is perhaps THE WORST PARKING MANAGEMENT FIRM. Three times they wrote claiming parking was never paid. £1.80 was paid, and according to them, £170 is due. The receipt of £1.80 sits well in the phone. How come they can't see that the parking ticket was paid? And how on earth does a bill of £1.80 increase 9,344% to £170. TOTAL JOKE. Imagine how many times and how much money it has wasted sending reminders. The most upsetting thing with Parking Management companies is that they are still analog in a digital age. Surprisingly, the UK public has not complained, as this is very irritating - the law should be amended so that electronic receipts are shared instead of jamming people's addresses with irrelevant correspondence. Well-meaning and honest people have better things to do in their lives, not responding to very incompetent managers of parking spaces
Dear Car Park owners
Dear Car Park owners, if you have a maximum limit of 2hrs please consider a bigger sign stating it. Dreadful company, with scamming in mind. I over stayed for 15 mins, got a letter, I did the appeal because I payed on the way out. They replied only today 21/07/25 to reject my appeal and now they force me to pay £54. You should be ashamed using those tactics to scam people.
SHOCKING
SHOCKING. I have tried at least 20 times to get into groupnexus co uk/pcn (I cannot type it as used here, I have taken out the "dots" as this form does not allow "links") as advised on the PCN and every pathway/page ends with bad gateway notification. In short I cannot get into their website to pay. I then downloaded the app on my phone and tried that way, no luck there either. I then found Nexus Platform and having filled in all the rest of the form including card payment details it would not let me put in my mobile number thus again blocking me from continuing. The drop down menu for mobile let me select 44 for UK but stopped there. I have rung 08443718784 repeatedly (a premium number) it asks questions for payment then cuts out at the last leg. Consequent calls are terminated almost immediately and I cannot get through. HOW ON EARTH AM I SUPPOSED TO PAY THIS, HOW ON EARTH AM I EXPECTED TO PAY THIS. I have just wasted maybe 30 or 40 mins trying every which way with this and no doubt have run up a premium phone line cost in the process. SHOCKING
Scam artists
Unfortunately zero stars not an option
A company that lines it's pockets by robbing people of their honestly earned cash
Visited a local retail park with 'free parking' and received a ticket in the post a few days later. Turns out there's an unreasonably short time limit which isn't advertised anywhere. It catches people out so often that the local news have reported on it a few times.
I appealed but of course they weren't interested
Not sure why any businesses work with them as they're costing the shops in that park customers
Zero Star
Zero Star. Received a parking ticket and immediately appealed. However, it was 8 weeks later before i received a verdict, when it should have been 28 days. In the meanwhile, whilst i was awaiting the verdict I received two further letters each with increasing charges. I was in a corner awaiting the arrival of bailiffs and so paid the increased charge. Unethical and disreputable company.
EXPLOITING THE DISABLED, SICK AND VULNERABLE
GroupNexus - leading the way in exploitation of the disabled (and probably) anyone else they can ensnare. On a recent trip for a surgical procedure I was unable to find a vacant disabled parking bay, but was advised that there was no charge for holders of a blue badge. Fast forward a few hours and a further debilitated me, eventually emerged from the hospital, my chaperone had been contacted but on returning had to park in the main area (as not badge holder, I had planned to drive) it took ages to get back to main door, in the meantime, worried by the delay they put my badge on display in the vehicle and came to help me back. A week later a very intimidating letter arrived which cited all manner of Acts, Schedules and Terms, which by its very nature used my lack of understanding, vulnerabilities and weaknesses to simply manipulate and scare you into paying the amount demanded. Using those tactics to extract payment by threatening to increase the demand if not paid promptly. It is very hard for someone less able to engage with the company and its complaints/ redress procedures seem very obstructive - I don't think this is a coincidence and unsure how it fits with the Equality Act. It just made me more anxious, that I must paying the demand for money. Everything else just felt futile and pointless, it made me feel useless, trapped by the process, unsure what else I should have done and without the confidence to engage with the convoluted appeals system which, to me is extremely complex and difficult to follow. It made me feel I had to pay straight away, the implication of not doing this would be worse, further mental and/or financial cost. The whole process of GroupNexus advertising disabled parking, almost championing this in the hospital setting could not have been further from the truth in my experience. I felt like I had almost been lured in to the whole thing.
Disgusting company
Disgusting company. Parked in Luton and there is no clear signage or way to pay. Thought I would pay on exit but there was no option. Stopped as soon as I left and emailed the company to say I want to pay but still got a ticket. Appealed but declined, naturally. Badly automated emails that don't acknowledge anything about my appeal. A system designed to confuse and rip people off. Threatening email saying you can appeal to POPLA or pay, and if you appeal you must pay double. Guess what? POPLA reviews are just as bad as these guys, so pay now or pay double.
Vile bottom feeders leeching off genuine people.
Awful
Awful. There’s no way to communicate and they are without any conscience.
Absolutely disgusting company
Absolutely disgusting company. I took my 87 year old mum to acre mills outpatients . Nothing clear about parking charges didn’t know how long we would be and just received a parking ticket through the post. Absolute ripping off scum bags . No stars they don’t even deserve 1
