I have been taking guitar lessons for 3 or months now. My tutor recommended Guitar Pro and it has been invaluable to my learning process. I honestly think I would struggle without this amazing piece of software. HIGHLY recommended for every guitar player and especially beginners!

I've been using the Tabledit application for a number of years now and decided to take advantage of a GuitarPro special offer a few months ago, nothing really "wrong" with Tabledit, but rather just seeking an application focused on guitar. The approach to composition is different between the two and took some time to adjust, but in the end I prefer Guitar Pro for better automation and a more modern interface. The ability to import Tabledit files is only Simi-helpful because of the differences, but that's expected as translation compatabilty can be a tricky programming thing. Admittedly, I use the software for solo guitar tab and don't do full score, multi-track or multi-instrument composition but for my requirements Guitar Pro gets my endorsement. Couple of thoughts on future development:
1. Consider improvement to the bar - level "spell check" to actually make suggestions on solving a timing error, perhaps even Ai suggestions on a solution based on the rest of the score etc.
2. Use Ai to improve or embellish a score. (Think suggesting a bass line segment that matches the melody in a Travis picking score, or even suggesting a new accompanying track altogether).
3. Scan a composition to suggest changes, maybe a note that would work better for the key, or even suggesting changes to a score to a different musical style ie. "James Taylor" / "Billy Strings" style, or from one genre to another...
4. Improve chord diagram suggestions based on what's detected/selected within a bar, helpful with fingerstyle or flat picking arrangements where one may not need a full chord to play it.
I'm still learning the Guitar Pro workflow and all of the tools it has to offer, but it seems to be the "standard" application, offers best in class composition tools and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I have only recently started using Guitar Pro but have found it invaluable for creating practice routines.
I don’t read music and have limited experience with the software but I have found it intuitive and very useful in making basic sections to play along to.

GuitarPro is a must have for anyone who is into music.
I am a casual player that was looking for ways to improve my playing skills, and GuitarPro is the best platform for that- I can setup the musics I like and play along, focusing on things I need to improve.

The improvement from the previous version (7) is subtle but necessary!
Worth every penny

I need more time to evaluate properly. But so far it looks like a very good program. I think it could be the best out there. It seems to have everything needed to learn guitar. Talking about only Guitar Pro 8.

I recently upgraded from a much older version (Guitar Pro 6) to Guitar Pro 8. There were many small improvements, but the addition of the audio track was a real game changer. It allows you to sync the guitar pro tabs directly with the audio track. You can easily hear if your tab is correct or not.

Its a nice tool for learning.
Play slowly and practice.
Missing noteheads like musescore.
Missing creating a score from the scales tool.
Missing import of musescore files.

This software is very intuitive, laid out really nicely and is fairly easy to learn. It helps greatly with transcribing music, writing your own music and is an excellent learning tool to help understand timing of music. I'm very happy that I purchased it, and feel like it is a very good value for the price.

I bought the full version of Guitar Pro 8 I've been writing out music that I've been working with Suno with and I find the Guitar Pro excellent been able to express the musical notes (bends, vibrato etc very precicelly) it's far more advanced than the software I have been using which was tabedit. and be able to put the audio in to actually tab out while you're listening to the song is excellent.

Not only it's the best guitar tablature, also the best notation software that also provides tons of instruments which adds versatility in case if you sing or you just want an addition from the components (such as bass, drums, et cetera depending on the reason like if your friend part of it or just some more musicality build) to your guitar.

I have been using GUITAR PRO since version 6, it is a great piece of software. Probably more than I need, but it is better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. I use it almost every day.

I really like Guitar Pro, but what I found very disappointing in these latest versions is that I’m not able to, or at least I haven’t clearly seen how to, link or connect the audio tracks with drum, guitar, and bass plugins so that they sound better. The sound that comes out of Guitar Pro, for me, is very poor and unsatisfying. I would like to be able to add drum, bass, and guitar plugins to achieve more realistic and higher-quality sounds. It seems that in this Guitar Pro 8 version that is impossible. For that reason, at the moment, I can’t rate it 5 stars, only 3 stars. But if there is a way to do this, I would definitely rate it 5 stars.

Actually been using this program for writing music past 10years,i love version 7 but version 8 is not such a big update, and it has a big problem while using a 4k screen 100cm wide... It wont use the nazive resolution so its unusable on big screen.. I've havet got that problem on 7.5 version
