I'd thought I'd have access to the tabs GP provides by buying the software, but it seems I need to buy the songbook each year. That is disappoiting given the cost of the program.

Really useful for composing and learning stuff on guitar

It is very useful for composing songs. The sound banks are cool and it has many options, mainly for tabs. It is not a 5-star because it does not have online version. It could be great to collaborate online in real time.

I was given a discount through Tim Pierce guitar lessons the first time I tried but was not the second time got frustrated with trying to synch my guitar with the software there was a delay would try it again if that could be fixed.

Great program. Easy to use.

This is a great. music application. which sadly lacks in any ability to save the changes you make to your pages that you are practising on so come the next practise, you have to start the page alteration all over again. GP8 has a good selection of music. but there is always other files suitable for this application on the net. The customer service. is quite good sometimes a little slow sometimes. quite fast. The page. for choosing your music from could do with some updating Making the letters larger and adding a choice to make set lists and being able. and being able to delete music you don't want from the collection but all in all I do enjoy this. programme.

I am loving Guitar Pro. I just started using it, so I'm still learning all the features, but it is an amazing tool. I love how you can slow down the songs to make it easier to learn, and use the progressive speed to help you get it up to speed gradually. I also love how you can highlight any section of the song or scale that you're working on, and loop it, so that you can play it over and over until you get it down. I look forward to learning more about Guitat Pro as I go, and would definitely recommend it to anyone, from a beginner to someone, like me, who has been playing for decades.

Guitar Pro is very easy to learn and it fits my needs perfectly. I have used Finale for over 20 years and when I heard that it would no longer be updated I decided to find a new notation program. Guitar Pro has been perfect as I play bass and create charts for my group of friends.

Love this product! I wish I could have more flexibility with resizing and moving around chord and scale diagrams, but other than that I'm loving it!

I get almost nothing out of it. I don't want to knock the app, but I have no praise to lend it. Then there's that "Gotta Pay Extra" even after all these years.

Guitar Pro is a versatile and intuitive tool I use daily when working on music projects. I would recommend this tool to anyone interested in writing and recording music.

This is just a great program, and has been for years. I can't fault it for what I use it for - writing guitar parts and comparing/sharing them with the other guitarist in the band. Easy to use and also keeps me on my toes remembering how to notate and count rhythms.

The software is neat and relatively easy to use, great interface.
What I absolutely do not like is the fact there is no free “only read” version. I was glad to pay for the full version which allows me to make tabs for my students, but I realize after buying it that unless the student buys the full software, I can’t even share it with them.
So I went back using TEFedit PRO which has a free version TEFview to read my files…

Needless to say, this software has revolutioned an entire field of musical knowledge. There's no way Guitar Pro's importance can be underestimated. There's only one issue at the moment: PLEASE include a full, realistic, flexible pick slide sound sample. It's mandatory. I mean it. Pick slides are an integral part of a thousand guitar arrangements and it is really important to have a proper one on Guitar Pro. Do NOT postpone this enhancement. Please. Other than this, I love everything about GP.

Been using GP since GP3 and found it really helpful when teaching students. The upgrade to 8 was seamless and worthwhile. Also used it to arrange parts, print them out and distribute to the various players. Overall a great product.

Used 7 for the tabs. But with 8 I can manipulate songs within the tool. Great buy and very useful.

I use it during practice. It helps my rhythm a lot. I'm the type to forget where I am in a piece (the repeats, etc.) and this makes it simple.

It's easy to add my own fingerings so I remember them.

Beginner level player.

Good application to write down a melody with notes.
It is required to know about notes, rithm and tonality, but it worth to do it. I was really glad witth the recent interface improvement (from v7 to v8), but I think it would be better if instrument sounds become more realistic.

I work with compositions, arrangements and music production. For me, Guitar Pro is essential for creating a blueprint of the songs before producing them, its improvements are welcome, however, I saw some aspects that could be corrected in the future.
First, when placing an Audio Track in the file, if you want to change the tempo of the music throughout the file, only the tempo initially entered remains.
Secondly, I don't know if this happens because I'm working with GP7 files, but there were times when I tried to change the tempo of the song and I couldn't, it stayed at the original tempo.
Despite these obstacles, I created a new file, copied, pasted and continued my work.
