I've been using it to create my own tabs off of online lessons. The only thing I wish I could figure out how to make it do would be to put the lyrics in place under the tab.

I am impressed with Guitar Pro 8 and how it is helping me as a musician. It is packed with great features, and it really is nice in the way it can tie back to original YouTube audio! I would like to see the Help section improved, as many of the links appear to point to pages that no longer exist.

Love this tool. It didn't take long to acclimate to the functions. The play back is pretty good. I'm a guitarist and many notes like pinch harmonics and palm mutes etc come I to play and this program has come pretty close to duplicating enough
Once you learn the basics it's pretty easy and being able to change the beat notes and play back as needed in a certain measure is great to make sure the timing of all notes is correct. Addictive

Guitar Pro 8 works well and does nearly everything I need it to do. The program itself downloaded easily and there were no problems with set up or learning how to use it!

I have had every version of Guitar Pro since it first came out. It allows me to learn how people approach songs and I get some good backing tracks to use to tighten up my playing. I have used it to record ideas in TAB form so I won't forget them. There are probably many features I haven't explored. A great product that's always getting better and doesn't break the bank.

I never had any problems with guitar pro 6 but guitar pro is awful it runs so slow sometimes it's impossible to use. My PC is brand new and runs very fast too for everything else. A quick look on Google and it seems a lot of others have similar issues.

I’ve been using Guitar Pro for YEARS (since GP3) and there honestly is no better notation software.
Guitar Pro 8 is user friendly, packed with functions, great sounding midi sound engine (for notation, mind you), and just an all around excellent tool for song writing.
The only single thing I would change about it, and I may be able to change it I’m not sure, is the indicator at the bottom of the window that shows if your bar is complete or not before moving on to the next bar. Counting beats is very simple but it used to be a real time saver just being able to look for the green check to see if your bar was perfect/over/under.
No complaints. GP5 was my favourite of all versions but GP8 has definitely taken that spot over

Yes, very good. However, I wish there was a % sign for chords. Or a way to make good and pro chordsheets like subilius. That is a real problem. It’s too much on notes. As a guitar teacher I noticed that my student get confused and my band member don’t like the lay-out of chordsheets.

I've been using GP since version 5. They have all been great. The new version 8, although it has taken some getting used to because some controls are in different places than what I'm used to in previous versions, it seems to be much more fluid visually. The sound engine has also been improved greatly. These both add for a better experience.

The program is really good, but I've find some bugs:
-Sometimes it crashes and closes
-Sometimes when i tie notes, it doesn't has no effect
There are also some things i would love to see in the program:
-Custome shortcuts
-The possibility to add external fonts
-The possibility to move texts freely
Thanks for reading
