6 August between 15:30 and 16:00 Tram…

6 August between 15:30 and 16:00 Tram 2, the employee in the back, woman of color with glasses was extremely disrespectful and humiliating to a tourist who simply asked for a ticket, shouting at him in front of everyone asking him to get ticket outside and then come to the tram and that it's not her problem if he doesn't have a ticket, for your info those employees in the back sell tickets she just didn't want to work that day because the person that was with me struggled to buy his ticket from her as well, he paid for it and waited until she finished her shouting and kicking the tourist out to finally have his ticket, she also spoke on her microphone screaming at people to move forward in a very lame way, learn to hire civilized people...

This morning

This morning, July 2nd, at 8:20 a.m., at the Koningsplein stop, tram 12 arrived at the same time, followed by a garbage truck and then tram 2 (driven by a woman), which is the one I had to take. Tram 2 let people off, and another person and I walked toward tram 2 to take it. Then tram 12 started, followed by the garbage truck and tram 2. I signaled to tram 2 to stop, but it ignored me and drove on. SHAMEFUL!

GVB not the answer

Maybe we were spoiled in France last year. You can travel there for approximately 5 euro a day with the right ticket. For starters transitting from 1 train to another using the GVB app will get you lost in no time. Then Amsterdam was conquered by many transport companies and it took a day for us to figure out that a GVB pass is not the paper worth its printed on because you cant use your GVB on them. My advice is to get OVpay asap. You can ride all modes of transport. Also download Connexion's app that will show you the cost of the trip. Ready yourself to budget for transport. Refrain from buying tickets from the driver. They will sell you the most expensive ones. Lastly, you can set the GVB app on only GVB rides. However, good luck with that. Expectations and reality are 2 different things in this regard.

Metro 53

Metro 53

I've been riding this metro line for years now and that hasn't been a single 2 days in a row when there wasn't something wrong. Metro's delayed, not riding at all, multiple times per day as well..

Of course, I understand it must be hard to organize everything but remember, we sent people to the Moon with what amounts to a computing power of today's calculator..

How is this even a thing in today's day & age is incomprehensible, especially for such a long time (years!)

For what we're paying for Public Transport, well, unfortunately this isn't something to be Happy about at all..

No wonder people kick the doors in or walk behind someone else absolutely everywhere, most have given up .

Tourist here: Run if you need to get off, don't walk.

Tourist here. literally run off as fast as you could if you're exiting the tram, fight if you neeed to, they do not stop longer than 3 seconds. Not sure how people with prams or wheelchair can get off with time. Probably not designed for them too?
I was pushed in by onboarding passengers and the door close when i can eventually get off. i missed my next tram, my next train and also the bus to another country. Thank you??

Whenever they want to do whatever

Whenever they want to, they shut down their service. Charge you in gold money like you are riding a luxury Ferrari for small distances and then suddenly you arrive in the morning at metro station, they close down all service as if some important person has passed away and now we must mourn his passing away with silence at metro station for 30 to 60 minutes.

I used to think life in underdeveloped countries was such but the transport system in the Netherlands has taught me that the life of a common man is shit everywhere and thank you so much for making us realise that we are insects.

Why don't you guys just shut down your service once and for all so that we know you are not there and not rely on you. Instead always use alternative methods. Such as start walking at 6 am in the morning towards our destination?

You guys should just stop transport monopoly in Amsterdam. Give another service provider a chance so that we can live and ride peacefully.

My mother taught me not to use abusive words, otherwise I would have used all of them in this review.

Well here we are again waiting nearly 30 minutes for the number 3 on Jan2 in freezing temperatures and still no indication when it's coming..
As the only tram that goes driectly west to east .and serves a major hospital OLVG. The number of daily cancellations is a disgrace and it's be going on for years.
As a disabled person when the tram finally turns up it's crammed and I have little hope of a seat. 4 Number 12 and 3 number 2 have come and gone in the time i have waited.

Probably the worst metro in the world

Probably the worst metro in the world. NEVER on time, either too early or too late, most lines only arrive every 10 minutes, some of the metro trains are way too short- meaning one has to run up half the platform. You might as well not have a metro in Amsterdam.

Worst company

The worst service ever, always delayed or cancelled last minute the thing that drives me crazy is how expensive is to travel while they provide a very poorly service in general. If the tram or metro are stopped for whatever reason you can get stuck for at least an hour inside without moving is insane how stupid and bad organized they are. In general the Dutch culture is rude and individualistic so I would not expect anything less then that from anyone working there. You should definitely stop charging that much for a shi**ty service that’s why people sometimes don’t pay.
