A highly dangerous transport company. They transported people as if they were animals, inside buses with over 90 people in them. Shocking that there is no oversight from the authorities. There is a risk of a tragedy similar to the one that happened in Switzerland at Glaris-Montana.

Busses always late, cancelled or skip stops

The buss drivers sometimes decide to not stop at Leiden Central station (first stop) and just pass straight from the depot to follow the route. The bus line also miss several scheduled trips where the bus for that trip never departed and also never update that this was the case.

Always a new way to disappoint

Today Qbuzz demonstrated an initiative I have not yet seen. Bus 50 totally skipped its departure point (centraal station, platform C). We saw the bus hanging around in the street for 10 minutes before driving straigt to stop 2 and never stopping at the departing station at all. Thanks for another 35 minutes added to an already busy day of traveling. 👍

The bus between Emmen station and the asylum seekers’ center (AZC) in Ter Apel will become free of charge for asylum seekers. This new measure is intended to reduce the nuisance and unsafe situations occurring on the regular bus line 73.

The commissioner and organizer of the shuttle service are the Ministry of Justice and Security, together with the municipalities of Emmen and Westerwolde. They are responsible for deciding on and funding this additional transport service.

The shuttle bus itself is operated by Drenthe Tours. This means it is private, dedicated transport for this specific group, not regular public transportation.

Qbuzz remains the operator of the regular line 73 between Emmen and Ter Apel. Qbuzz does not operate the new shuttle bus, but its earlier reports of incidents and concerns about driver and passenger safety partly prompted the introduction of this measure.

The aim of the free shuttle bus is to ensure that asylum seekers use this service instead of the regular line 73, thereby reducing pressure and nuisance on that route.

Although the situation has gotten…

Although the situation has gotten better since the transition to Qbus in Leiden, the buses are always late. And when I say always late, it is always, there is not one single morning when I don’t wait. Best case scenario will be 5 mins, but generally it is 10 or 15. If you have to catch a train or another bus, this awful and absolutely not reliable. There is 0 excuse, Arriva was super on time. Also some drivers are just crazy and driving to fast to catch up… it doesn’t even feel safe…

COMPLETE INCOMPETENCE

Plenty times the line 4 in Groningen has been disrupted, it’s like they leave and come whenever the hell they want. Just today, the bus schedule in the app says the bus will be 15 minutes delayed, it’s cold outside, so I try to walk to make myself warmer . When I decide to walk to the station 20 minutes before the bus arrives - what do I see??? My bus leaving 20 minutes earlier than promised, meaning that I will have to wait 30 minutes for the next one. Complete incompetence almost every time, absolutely unreliable and horribly disappointing.

Busses randomly do not show up..

Busses randomly do not show up... number 22 and 250, specifically... for the 250 is even okish because it comes every 15m, but the 22.. every one hour! Skipping a route means people need to walk/take a taxi at times. Worst public transport I have ever seen...

The buses sometimes don't open their doors at the bus stop. Once, I was waiting at the stop when a bus came. I stood at the gate, waiting for the driver to open it, but he simply drove away. I had to wait half an hour for the next bus.

Worse experience of my life

I took a Qbuzz journey to and from Kuekenhoff on 14th April 2025, and though Kuekenhoff is beautiful, the transport made me wish I never went.

Starting in the morning, I had to wait about 30 minutes in line for the bus to arrive. Once my bus came, I saw that there were no seats left! Yet the staff ushered the rest of us in like cattle, piling us onto a small bus so we could stand for a 40 minute journey AFTER PAYING FOR A TICKET. I fail to understand why I am paying so much for private transport and made to stand 40 full minutes when there is cheaper public transport available. If I pay premium prices, I should get premium services.

The arrival journey upset me, but it was a mere bump compared to the horror that awaited me as I tried to depart.

I saw a queue at the bus stand, but I had no idea where it started and where it ended. I thought this was for all the buses, but it was just for ONE BUS to Amsterdam RAI. Operated by QBuzz! All other buses had waiting times of 10 minutes. I waited in queue for 90 minutes just for my bus to arrive. I was absolutely fed up, exhausted, and livid at this point. There was no estimated arrival given to us, the staff did not know about the next buses and having already paid for my ticket, I had no option but to wait in this hellhole. I eventually did get a bus, but the experience had completely put me off from using QBuzz again.

TLDR: I will absolutely never take QBuzz again, and would deter anyone else from using this service

Giving one star because I can't give zero stars!!

Worst experience ever!!! They stuffed everyone into the bus and made multiple people stand for a 40 min journey!!! It was super crammed and uncomfortable. My feet were in pain before I even reached Keukenhof!! And the price for this was extremely high!! I would have much rather walked than taken this the bus if i knew what I was in for.
The horror doesn't stop here, this was just getting there. The return was worse! There were not enough buses even though they said there was a bus every ten minutes!! I had to wait for more than an hour for the bus when they said I HAD TO STAND IN THE BUS AGAIN!!
Will never travel by this bus service again and definitely will not recommend.

Dissapointing

Very rude staff and poor attitude. Took trip to the tulip fields with a combo ticket from Rai Amsterdam. Getting there was not too bad, busses were frequent so was ok, although staff did not want to answer questions or help.

Coming back was poor. Buses run infrequently, and driver had a go at someone for asking a question. Because they are so few and far between you have no choice but to stand, with a driver who thinks he is driving a race car round the corners.

Tulip fields are great. Just don’t use qbuzz.

This is the worst bus company

This is the worst bus company. They frequently cancel buses at the last minute, making it impossible to rely on their service. Buses 20 and 21 are consistently late or often don't show up at all! Leiden made a mistake in contracting with them. I would like to know when they plan to resolve these issues!

Absolutely unreliable. Either too late or too early. They don't even cancel trips just everything is late for 30 minutes. Horrible service. And it's been months of they switched from arriva to this horrible qbuzz, no improvements whatsoever

If I could swear I would

If I could swear I would. I miss my connected transport in Leiden every week now because all of your buses either come way too early or way too late. Even when I leave twenty minutes earlier than I usually would, because I KNOW that the buses always mess up my planning, it STILL manages to make me late to everything. Do you know how embarrassing it is to tell my professor that yes, it was the transport again and no, I’m really not lying? I don’t want to have to add FOURTY EXTRA MINUTES to my transport routine just because you can’t keep to the schedules, that’s just outrageous!! At this point you are forcing me to, though. Horrible. This really needs to be improved. I live in a town where this stuff is way better, so it can be done. Make it happen, oh my gosh.

Otherwise, your bus drivers are pleasant.

Another bus being deleted

Another bus being deleted, needs to wait 30 additional minutes. This is almost becoming daily at evening, the ESTEC tennis court stop. Really bad service, they should be ashamed.

The day after, another bus being deleted. It’s the third in a week, without notifications. Shame.
