I’ve been a subscriber to Hachette Partworks for their model building and Warhammer Combat Patrol magazines, and the experience has been fantastic.
If you are into tabletop gaming or modeling, these subscriptions are an absolute game-changer for budgeting the hobby. The Warhammer Combat Patrol run is easily one of the most cost-effective ways to collect, build up multiple factions, and get paints/tools at a massive discount compared to retail prices. Not good value …
A little disappointed that the dalek parts have been broken up into little pieces so hatchette can make more money. Wait for a month and get two pieces of plastic and a spring in each package and the buyer is charged a large amount. When you consider there will be over 100 packages this tends to be very expensive and not good value

Great value and wonderful customer service.
Having both ordered individual items and signed up for the combat patrol monthly sets, I will say either option is well worth it. The one time I did have a slight issue of an order taking a long time to ship, they quickly corrected it. The customer service has been top notch in all the communications I've had with them.

I took out a subscription today for the Winnie the Pooh embroidery and was extremely excited waiting to receive my first issue. I couldn’t find out roughly when it would be delivered so gave customer service a call. I spoke to a lovely lady who had recently joined the company. She was so lovely and explained she is also doing the embroidery and loved it. Unfortunately I was hoping it would come for my holiday. Sadly I knew I was expecting to much and she told me it could be a couple of weeks. I’ll just have to keep the excitement going for a little longer. It was really nice to chat to somebody with the same interests. Hatchett part works. You have amazing customer service.

Over priced for what you get
I really think that it’s a nice idea however it’s very overpriced for what you’re getting. You don’t get a lot of pieces to paint. I’ve seen people overseas by the books for like two dollars or something to that nature three dollars maybe and the paint is not anything special, you could literally go to the craft store and buy a bunch of paint for less than one subscription. I wish I could pick what I wanted and be done with it because I’m really interested in the Alice in Wonderland some of the stuff that they show you you don’t get all the pieces in one subscription you get like a piece of this and a piece of that it’s not Conducive. I personally think it should be about $20 cheaper and I think I wouldn’t mind but currently I’m literally just waiting out for the picture that I want and they don’t canceling.
