Avoid At All Costs

They misled my daughter about all the treatment she would need and in what order. She paid almost £1,000 in advance for a specific course of treatment - which they were more than happy to be paid - and then decided to advise her she would need an additional course of treatment carried out before she could have the course of treatment she had paid for, which would cost an additional £550. From then on it was all downhill - they offered her a tooth whitening treatment free, which she had already paid for in the £1,000, as recourse for their failure in making her aware that she would need additional treatment first, which they then failed to deduct from the final bill; they changed an appointment time without advising her and then suggested that they had advised her which they absolutely had not, and then had the cheek to tell her they wouldn't charge her for the missed appointment as it was "nobody's fault", and let her use a whitening treatment course after having 6 fillings and with an untreated cavity, which caused her immense, prolonged pain, and which she had to abandon due to the pain it caused. They then refused to give her a refund for treatment not received, not completed, and free/not free? when she requested it, as she had lost all faith and confidence in their service. Instead they referred her to a dental complaints service which they were probably perfectly aware does NOT deal with refusals to give refunds for treatment not carried out. When a complaint was raised and a refund only for treatment NOT received and completed was requested, they totally refused to do this, and despite repeatedly being advised that my daughter would not step foot in their practice again, pummelled her with requests to attend their practice. And if they want to respond to this and try and play the victims, I have a series of emails from them that highlight the bulk of the above, which I am more than happy to share on this review!

Wonderful family dental practice

I have been using Hampshire Dentists for six years and am very happy with their service, and recommend friends to them.
For much of my life, I had a fear of dentists as a result of an awful experience with a dentist when I was 18.
Rob and the team have been great, recognising from the beginning that many people have a real phobia. They take every step to inform you what is going on and minimise the pain. I really do see visiting the dentist as 'nothing' now.
My teeth weren't great when I first started going but I'm now happier than I have ever been as a result of their work.
Dental work can become prohibitively expensive and I like that they provide a range of options and I have never felt pressured to go for the most expensive, nor have I felt judged when I haven't chosen it!
I have two or three times needed emergency treatment and each time, they have been able to fit me in despite being an extremely busy practice.
My last visit was post-covid19 lockdown and they had put in place all the elements to reduce the risk of transmission.
