Frustrating return policy and poor customer service.
I originally submitted a return request for two items but later changed my mind—I decided to keep one of them and return a different item from the same order instead. Customer service told me they couldn’t cancel or modify the original request, so I had to submit a new one for the other item, ship them separately, and pay the return processing fee twice—even though everything was from the same order.
To make matters worse, they launched a big sale right after my purchase but refused to offer a price adjustment or cancel the order, even though it didn’t ship for several days(to be exact 4 days to start shipping). Their inflexible policies and slow processing made the whole experience frustrating.
On top of all that, I washed their clothes on a gentle cycle for just 30 minutes, and the print started peeling off. For the price, I expected much better quality. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

I am finished for good with this company, regretfully so. Buyer beware. They do not offer a free exchange for a different size same item. You have to return it, $5.00, and buy it again, then pay $5.00 more dollars to receive the new item. How cheap! I have never incurred charges for a simple exchange. Perhaps I've just been lucky with other companies who offer free exchanges. I can find quality clothes somewhere else where simple exchanges are free. So, learn from my mistake.

Hanna Andersson Tracking is useless. A label is created and for 7 days it awaits Carrier Pickup. Customer Service does not find this unusual.
Clothes are of good quality
Clothes are of good quality, haven't washed yet but one thing I noticed is most require special care so be aware when washing and drying to prevent shrinking.
2 hooded flannels I ordered are not thick Flannel but thicker than a cotton tshirt. I like the variety. Especially being a mom of boys and limited shopping options where I live I like finding clothing stores with unique or different options than most chain stores. I will definitely buy from here again. Their prices are steep for me at regualr prices but sale prices are in my budget.
Boys approved! They fit true to size, maybe a a little big but that's ok! I'd rather that than too small. Not a deal breaker. Bought summer and spring clothes so they will fit, be fine then.
Also, check product details and read exactly what's included. I bought what I thought was a tank and shorts SET. Pictures showed shirt only, set and shorts only. It was just the tank. My mistake for not reading finer print.

Love Hanna Andersson clothes. They last forever. We have many pairs of PJs that we've passed down from one kid to the other. I do recommend waiting for sales as they are frequent :)

I was gifted a beautiful set of matching pajamas from this company. They were a great quality and really cute. However the boys matching pajamas were the wrong size for one of my kiddos. So when I looked to see if there was a location I could exchange them at, to my surprise they closed all their retail stores and are online only now. So I called to see if I could just send them back and exchange for the correct size. When doing that they told me I had to pay a $5 return fee. So fast forward 3 or 4 weeks later they finally processed the return and issued me an e gift card for only $15. When I looked up those same pajamas online they were $50!!! So when I called them to explain what went wrong they hung up on me the first time for no reason. The second time I called, they said they were willing to “price match” them for me, but wanted to charge me another $10 to have the correct size shipped to me! This is an unethical and exploitative business practice in my opinion. People shouldn’t have to pay extra money just to get the correct size product shipped to them. If I ever get gifted a pj set from them again and it is the wrong size, I will just regift it rather than deal with this headache of a company ever again. I will never do business with this company again and it’s a real shame since they have a good product but terrible customer service. It’s no wonder all their retail locations closed. I don’t expect them to thrive much longer as a company if this is how they treat returning customers.
Gorgeous clothes but horrible experience and awful service.
Love their clothes but their interface and service is garbage. They bombard your email with offers and codes that never work, not even the first purchase one, and when you try to talk to customer service they use every excuse in the book until the offer really is no longer available. I've never checked reviews up until my last few terrible experiences and I'm absolutely shocked to see how low they are ranked... not surprised though.

I would give them 0 stars, worst customer service , rude staff , they just end the chat abruptly without completing the conversation. It like a click and bait, they show their items as in stock , you place an order and then they cancel it stating its out of stock. All I was saying in the customer service chat that they need to check their inventory before making it available online and their customer service just cuts me off and ends the chat abruptly without notice. Thier sizes are also off and quality of the clothes are not all matching the prices they are charging for their clothes. I am never going to shop with them in future and would not recommend others as well.
Quality and customer service has tanked!
I have been a customer of Hanna Andersson for almost 25 years—for my own daughters and my granddaughters. The quality of the clothing and customer service has taken a severe turn for the worse. I ordered clothing for my granddaughters for Christmas in the same sizes I had ordered a month before. When they opened them, the sizes are almost 50% smaller. These clothes would fit infants, not toddlers! And when I went to exchange or return, they told me it was outside the window and ended the chat on me three times. I will never order again. Clearly, the quality clothing I used to be happy to pay more for is now replaced with fast fashion from third world countries in tiny sizes and low quality. So disappointed! They lost a lifetime customer, and I will now warn all my friends. It’s sad that a quality company has gone so far downhill.

Instead you’re stuck paying $5 to return it. How hard is it to edit/cancel an order when it’s still being processed? No, you’d rather customers pay more money to get it returned. Complete Bull Shit!!

Miserable Customer Service
Ordered some things from them but the website somehow signed me out before the purchase completed. I contacted customer service to ask them to apply the order to my account so I could get the advertised rewards and they said they couldn't help. It had only been a few hours and they confirmed that the order hadn't shipped yet so I asked if they could cancel the order instead and I would place it again. They again refused, saying that they only allow order cancellation within 20 minutes of placement.
The experience soured me on the whole company. I was planning to order more from them if we liked the clothing from the first order, but given their complete lack of helpfulness I have no intention of shopping with them again.
Their return policy is garbage
Hannah Anderson's return policy is insane. I ordered the wrong size of a pair of pajamas. I realized what I did just a few hours after placing my order. They were out of the correct size, so I asked if I could cancel, since nothing had shipped yet. Nope! Impossible. I have to wait for it to ship out, get delivered, then pay the shipping cost to return it. Fine. I look up their return policy and see there's a $5 fee on all returns. I contacted customer service to verify this was correct, and they just copy and pasted the return policy in their response. It was very passive aggressive. Trust me, the quality of these clothes is average. It's not worth the hassle.
Sizing is extremely misleading
The sizing is very off. It's nowhere near standard. I ordered 0-3 month holiday-themed clothing (jumpers, pants, a dress, and a hat) and it's all twice as wide as any of my other clothing. Because it's themed, baby can't "grow into" it. I talked to customer service, and they were abrupt and rude: "all sales are final". "thanks for the feedback but our size charts are on the website". No apology or attempt at keeping me as a customer (which, I won't be again).

Bizarre pricing and I will no longer be ordering from HA. How insulting and misleading to customers to increase the price of a product in order to offer a percent off. Up and down, up and down, as if we don’t know we’re being had. Nope, not again, can’t do it. From now on, I will only order from reputable children’s wear companies. Fortunately, there are many from which to choose.
