Great Cottage , Great location !

We stayed in Rose cottage in April to visit the flower show . The cottage is fabulous ! Homely , clean , spacious and all mod cons provided . Lovely little courtyard garden with bench but rain prevented us from enjoying it ! The location was great too walking distance to the town centre and also the necessary shops on hand just around the corner ie Sainsurys express , a couple restaurants and a few other shops , local pub and even a wine bar further down the road .The local chinese takeway is also recommended literally across the road from the cottage ooh also visit Graverleys Fish restaurant .(in town)... amazing food at reasonable prices . The Yorkshire show ground is literally 10-15 min drive .. no distance at all !

only draw back that totally ruined our stay was the owners upstairs who were a heard of bloomin elephants from 0730-0900!!!
next time we book an apartment the 1st question will be who lives upstairs & if they say the owners steer clear

Dear Mr White
Thank you for your feedback, and we are very sorry that you found the noise level from the upstairs flat intrusive to your stay. Unfortunately, it is sometimes the case that noise can travel in some of the more characterful older apartment properties, but we will certainly pass this information on to the Owners in order that they can be mindful of this. We hope to be able to welcome you to Harrogate at some point again in the future. Kind Regards. The Harrogate Holidays Team.

Fantastic Yorkshire Stay !

We had a fantastic holiday. It was made so easy both by the booking company who were so helpful and the accommodation, The Spring, was excellent and a lovely family that run it. This was the second time we had stayed there and will be back for a third!
They all contributed to a brilliant time, everything we could have wanted was supplied and there was no difficulty about arranging everything. My husband was really pleased to be able to have wi-fi while in Yorkshire, I loved the peace and quiet yet still good accessibility to dales, moors, market towns and cities. The scenery is amazing such a beautiful parrt of the world. We will definitely be back and have no problem recommending Harrogate Holidays to anyone.

Had an amazing time at Humble Bee Cottage through booking with Harrogate Holidays

Booking with Harrogate Holidays was simple and quick and we were impressed with the service.Humble Bee Cottage made the perfect location for a weekend away with friends. I would recommend Humble Bee Cottage to anyone who loves the countryside or wants to experience being on a farm. The cottage was very tastefully decorated, clean and well equipped including wellingtons to wear around the farm.

We also had a tour around the farm with Dave who is very passionate about farming and obviously loves what he does.

We will be going back.

lovely house in a brilliant location

The house was lovely and had loads of amenities to make your stay comfortable. The only issues we had was that the shower in the family bathroom was luke warm and the microwave didn't warm your food.

The house was in a brilliant location and I would definately recommend Harrogate Holidays and Diamond House to others

Lovely cottage, perfect location

We stayed in Fir Tree Cottage over Easter 2013 and it was wonderful. The cottage has everything that you need, very comfy beds and beautiful views.

Huby is a nice village close to the train station and only a few miles drive from Harrogate centre. It was very peaceful, there is a lovely garden that comes with the cottage rental and we had off-road parking.

Certainly hope to return in the future! The booking process was very easy and we did not have any problems.

Friendly efficient and peaceful

This is an outstanding farm-based cottage holiday - spacious, clean and comfortable accommodation, owners who take a lot of care but do not intrude unless needed, and a range of little extras to give a buzz of difference - home made biscuits, logs for the fire. Walks could start from the doorstep and were delightful. The location was ideal - the peace of deep countryside but a short walk to a great pub meal and a short drive to the centre of Harrogate.

Fantastic apartment in the ideal location

This apartment was absolutely immaculate. It was a lot larger than we had expected and a lot more luxurious.

It was within a five minute walk of the centre of Harrogate and just a two minute walk to Valley Gardens with the most amazing playground.

We stayed at the apatment with our two young children who made the most of the TV in their bedroom and the huge living area.

The booking process/checking in was easy with very clear instructions on how to collect the keys and where from.

I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for self catering accomodation in Harrogate, a stones throw from some lovely cafes and restaurants with the luxurious feel of a high rated hotel.

Easy booking and beautiful property - couldn't ask for more

The website showed Newby Farm Cottage - it looked lovely and just the place for our first holiday as a family. It didn't disappoint - we had everything we needed. Even the unseasonal snow during our visit couldn't spoil things. The owners lived next door and even came round to ensure we were ok and offered to get anything from the shops if we didn't want to venture out into the snow.
Highly recommended - we will definitely be staying again.
Thank you.

Great location, lovely apartment.

Great apartment, lovely apartment, a couple of things just let it down, advert states real open fire, this is not the case. In the main bathroom, the jacuzzi bath did not work and also the underfloor heating in the same bathroom wouldn't work.

Luxurious!

We stayed in Swan Road no.2 and when we got to the apartment we were blown away. The size was amazing; all the spaces are well decorated and the lounge is just beautiful! The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable too - I was in one mind to just stay forever!

If I had to mark it down for anything it would be the TV and the bath. It's advertised as having Sky TV, but it's not got a very large selection of channels - I'm pretty sure free-view has more options, however it's obviously not that big of a problem; I wasn't there to watch TV anyway!
The bath looked to be a huge spa bath, but sadly didn't actually work as a spa. That was a bit of a disappointment but again, I didn't go for the bath so it was OK!

If you want a comfortable place to stay where you can relax away from the sounds of the street but also be close enough to the town centre to get to Betty's and the Gardens in a few minutes then I couldn't recommend this place more. I know I'll be back.

Ok - but some shortcomings

We have booked with you several times before and have also been in this property before and we have always been more than a 100% satiesfied. This was not really the case this time. The internet in the property kept beeing diconnected despite your attempt to solve the problem. To use it for seroius work was a nightmare. The shower in the ensuite bathroom remained ice-cold despite all efforts so we couldn´t use i, which is very annoying when you deliberately book with two bathrooms.. The fan extractor in the kitchen did not work -a real problem, since no other window can be opened in the property. The toaster had obviously burned before, since serveral plastic parts had melted. The heating was set at a time that it went off at 10 o´clock in the morning and remained off until late afternoon. With outside temperatures around zero or even below we kept freezing until we manged to alter the setting. However, without any notification at all, someone came into the flat after four nights to change the sheets while we were out. The person turned off the heating COMPLETELy (it was 2 minus outside that day) so that we returned to an ice-cold flat in the late afternoon to spend another evening shivering - not really the idea of a comfortable holiday. You might wonder why we didn´t let you know while we were there: The answer is:On holiday we do not want to spend the day phoning for repairs or wait for people to come and do them, since that is what we do at home when we are not on holiday. However, since you asked for this rating and for the benefit of future guests we feel obliged to inform you about the shortcomings and hope that your organisation can offer the standard that youoffered before.
Yours sincerely,
Stefanie and Reinhard Sundermann

Hi Stefanie & Reinhard, Thank you for taking the time to feedback to us we appreciate this. We believed we had resolved the Internet access issues when we visited the apartment, so apologies that you continued to have problems. In terms of the service, it's a standard process to do a linen change for stays of a week or more (just let us know at time of booking if you'd rather not have one). With regards to the shower, extractor fan and toaster we will charge our handy man with resolving these issues immediately. We hope that you will continue to book with Harrogate Holidays and please rest assured of our full attention when you call or email us. With Kind Regards The Team at Harrogate Holidays

gateway to delights of Harrogate

I have found Harrogate Holidays a very good agent to deal with. They have a wide portfolio of properties to suit a wide variety of users. The properties have always been of a high standard and very well located for town and countryside.

The rates are in my opinion largely very reasonable and matched to facilities. It is howvever alwaya a good idea to check any specific needs you may have with the agency as the advertised descriptions may differ. This has applied to bed descritpion where two double beds are described. In fact one of these beds may, in fact, be a sofa bed and I can call on significant experience to comment that sofabed comfiness covers a very wide spectrum!

In dealing with issues around the accommodation, the agency was happy to try and address any problems such as central heating control immediately. The only issues that were difficult was dealing with other clients who sadly fell short in extending consideration to others. I cite those who find it impossible not to smoke in properties clearly designated as non smoking and those who employ a speaking voice at level bellow.

In short I can recommend Harrogate Holidays to those who want to to enjoy this splendid part of Yorkshire.

Gardeners Cottage was in a lovely location, close to many place of interest.

Gardeners Cottage was in the grounds of a large country estate, it over looked the walled garden of the hall, no direct access from the cottage. The cottage was clean, tidy and very warm. The space was good, we were 4 adults and 2 small children and had plenty of room. The cottage had been recently renovated, and furniture was new and modern. Wifi was useful. There didn't appear to be any outdoor tables or chairs to sit on and enjoy the gardens in the evening, however we didn't need these as we visited during the coldest Easter on record.
Good location, lots of places to visit.

Comfortable, roomy, and convenient

We booked a week's stay at Daisy House in Harrogate for my son's wedding. His future in-laws were able to book Strawberry House right next door, which made it very convenient to celebrate Easter together, and to coordinate sight-seeing together. The owner of Daisy House supplied me with wonderful directions to the two closest grocery stores, saving us some time and confusion when we arrived on Saturday. Everything was neat, clean and lived up to our expectations. This is the second time I have booked through Harrogate Holidays - the first being two years ago when we stayed in Knaresborough in Dray Cottage for a week. Both times Harrogate Holidays staff has been extremely helpful and patient with some of my questions - being from the United States, different terms are used. We have shared many pictures of both Dray Cottage and Daisy Cottage with our friends, and they are all impressed with how nice the properties are. I have, and will continue to highly recommend Harrogate Holidays to anyone vacationing in the Harrogate area. My only regret is that I didn't get a chance to stop by the Harrogate Holidays office and offer my thanks in person!

A comfortable well equipped flat close to the town"s attractions.

Very satisfied with the flat with was what we wanted for a short break in Harrogate for 4 female friends close to attractions of the town. One or two niggles, having requested 4 single beds we arrived to bed made up as double with was rectified on request during afternoon. In the search for a lost earring we found the beds in the single beds room to not have been cleaned under for some time and a rather dusty floor.

Otherwise no complaints,

By far exceeded our expectations!

We loved our stay in England and would certainly recommend Harrogate Holidays. They were efficient, professional and super helpful when we phoned to book. The property we rented was exactly how it appeared on the web site.
Having experienced lousy English plumbing, cramped rooms and furniture on its last legs, this was a very pleasant surprise - a jewel of a find! Beautifully renovated, with style and great attention to detail - high beamed ceilings; large, spacious rooms; fully equipped kitchen; excellent water pressure; beautiful views; peaceful location; Egyptian cotton bedding; a decent tv; a very friendly welcome...
I would definately use Harrogate Holidays for our next trip to the UK.
