Been with Hastings for home insurance for a while. As per their marketing emails contacted them about a simple 1 storey extension- they won't extend our policy or explain why they won't insure so let in a predicament with no home insurance, no advice or help. So frustrated as this must happen all the time, understand might need to pay more etc but left with nowhere to go but elsewhere. Poor level of service on the only occasion I have needed to contact them

Pretty straight forward in organising insurance and breakdown cover. Will be interested in how the "Your Driving" section on the app responds to my driving over the coming months

I experienced a minor incident with my vehicle and visited a private garage to obtain a quotation for repairs. The garage provided the quotation and awaited approval for an extended period. Due to the delays, I decided to carry out the repairs myself. After completing the repairs and saving costs, I have been attempting to obtain payment for the invoice from the company, but without success. I advise caution when engaging with this company, particularly if you own an expensive vehicle.

I thought a month before i.d renewed my policy but on the day it was not renewed then when i inquired what was happining i was given a much higher price to continue so i refused then got a cheaper quote myself on line

Fair price & came through with what I wanted

Wanted to switch my car insurance policy over to a new policy and they wanted to charge me a higher monthly fee for a much cheaper and smaller vehicle. When cancelling this in April, I had an admin/cancellation fee to pay which I set up a standing order to pay off. They then took my standard car insurance direct debit the month after, despite me cancelling my policy and this took ages to get the money back. They are now claiming I owe them MORE money even though I paid off the remaining balance via standing order and had to be refunded. Bearing in mind, I dealt with this 4 months ago!!! Awful company to get a hold of via email to make a complaint and send evidence to.

Very simple process. Easy to install app and set up a policy. App has everything you might require from reporting claims to breakdowns and recovery. Don’t know why I haven’t tried this before.

Excellent service

A good competitive price and the website was easy to understand and the insurance form was quick to complete.

I changed my policy with my existing insurance company from a van to a car & stupidly believed their “best price” - momentarily my premium rose to £500+ 🤣 I cancelled & my meerkat recommendation was Hastings Direct - i save myself over £250 by changing to Hastings, plus the app is very easy to use - thanks 🙏 Hastings !!!
