I really like this service. I appreciate the time the doctors take to answer questions and more. I used it tonight and many times in the past. Thank you, Healthtap!

They never help with sickness.
They never help with sickness.. they always say to see local doctor... What's the point of health tap if you're just going to see local doctor? Waste of money!! I understand narcotics need to be extensively searched out.. but everyday prescriptions that are $4 at Walmart? No call for it.. healthtap just moves money from one doctor to another while the end user suffers.. aka Ponzi scheme

Complaint
Not only they charged me $44 and did not provide any service at all; but also they tried to collect more: $49 in addition to the first amount. I was also contacting them in regard of my pet; not myself. They seemed to not understand it at all. I am going to try to get my money back since my background is Criminal Justice and I will not allow anyone to take advantage of me in a scam, illegally.

Worst customer service - Edited for update
Worst customer service. Emailed them 3 times plus 2 phone calls to get a simple issue resolve. Repeated my story over and over and over again. So frustrating. I just wanted antibiotics for a sinus infection. From now on all just sit in an Urgent Care waiting room.
PS: every time I called them I "coincidentally" got a spam text the next day selling me health insurance.
*after reading my review here, customer service finally contacted me and refunded my visit. They said they are working on having the situation I encountered resolved. I am willing to try them again next time I get a sinus infection and will post another review"

I was told I would get a 30 day trial …
I was told I would get a 30 day trial for $5.00 and an additional $29.00 for a consult.I thought that because you could get a second opinion at no additional cost, I would be okay and came back the next day for that consult. Somehow the fees ended up being $34 plus $60 plus $99.00. I tried calling to get the fees adjusted but was told that the $99.00 would stand because I needed to cancel by 4/10 (which I had). I wish I had googled the site to see for myself how many bad ratings there were. I never would have signed up.

Terrible
Terrible. Paid $47 and got a 4 line response from a paeditrician Dr. Lori Semel, I wasn't expecting a diagnosis, but something a bit more intelligent than what can be googled in 2 seconds. . At the same time as I signed up for Healttap, I had a fraudulent charge for $267, bit of a coincidence. A terrible experience and an absolute waste of money, don't know if it was this Dr. specifically as she has some terrible reviews for her private practice, which I only realised that after I checked to see if she was a real Dr. or not, or is this the general standard of Dr.s on Healtap. Overall I think Healthtap may be a bit of a scam, would not advise anyone to use them.

This company is such a scam
This company is such a scam! They advertise for something and then they make every excuse in the world as to why you can not receive it. I used the service to get a prescription for and appetite suppressant. In my appointment with Dr. Pasniciuc from New York, he told me that diet pills do not work and even if they did he could not prescribe them online.
My Question...What in the hell can you do then.
Dr. Pasniciuc said that I am over weight (No Sh@t Sherlock), and that I should try diet and exercise (No Sh@t Sherlock Again).
What I was attempting to do is to help with hunger so that I could work more on the DIET (eating less Sherlock) and exercise.
Dr. Pasniciuc also suggested that I look into bariatric surgery.
Soooo...
Dr. Pasniciuc can not prescribe an appetite suppressant online but the guy can up sell you and then do bariatric surgery!?
Use this service if you have $44 to waste but outside of that, find another DR service!

Health concern
The doctors are patient and listen to your all problem. I think this app is helpful for people who are unable to see a doctor due to certain circumstances.
I have already written a review
I have already written a review. The information on Health Tap will help some people. I am no better off however than before Health Tap came along. The ground work was not done before Health Tap was introduced to Waikato Hospital patients and service customers. I have not been able to access the so called Specialists for my health care team. As they are not able to be part of Health Tap and they are already overworked and so on.
Insanely more effective than the …
Insanely more effective than the traditional doctor visit.
Hard to get actual help
Still waiting after 2 days for a response to a 'free' question. Decided to take advantage of the 30 day trial for a paid subscription for faster answers. Asked a new question and learned that a) only the primary care docs are free -- everything else gives you a modest discount. And even there, I couldn't seem to connect to a doctor. Just got sent to a list of questions similar to mine. So I canceled my free trial after a couple of hours.
A question I'd asked a few months ago DID get an answer (fairly quickly, IIRC) ... which made it pretty obvious that he hadn't actually read the question since the answer was not relevant.
And the 150 character limit for your questions makes it impossible to give any sort of detail, making the odds of an accurate answer even lower.

Save your money!
I have an elderly parent who is having some health issues. She adamantly refuses to go see a doctor, (she thinks they are all quacks), so I was hoping to get some information on how to proceed to alleviate some of her symptoms or at least find peace of mind. For $54 I got the response: "Have her make an appointment with a female doctor"... Really? Did you even read my input? I could have gotten the same response from the garbage can that I tossed my money into. :P Update.... They reviewed my question and response and refunded my money. So there is some integrity there after all.

Scam
Borrowed a friend's Facebook and was transferred to outside site. Paid $49 to have my question answered via text. No response. I want a full refund.

What a waste of money
What a waste of money. I wanted to ask a doctor about a medication I was prescribed by my regular doctor because after researching it, I wasn't entirely convinced that it was safe. I would have gone to my regular doctor but it would have been a while before being able to see her because she travels. The online doctor didn't answer my question about whether or not it was safe. He basically just told me that if I have concerns then I shouldn't take it. Definitely NOT worth the money.

HealthTap is a great resource to have …
HealthTap is a great resource to have if you're confused about a certain symptom and need quick advice. If you think your condition is a little more serious, they can provide you with a prescription (granted it's not a controlled/scheduled med) or advise you as to the next best course of action. I recently used it when I got a severe reaction to Poison oak, and the doctor helped me get some good ointment & directed me even to some over-the-counter items I had no clue existed.
Great App!!
My step-father had a rash and we were connected to a dermatologist within minutes! The doctor gave him a prescription to treat the rash and also gave him a detailed list with over-the-counter and home remedies. Saved time and money!
Waste of time and money!
In an attempt to avoid going to an ED for a horrible insomnia, used this app for advice and to seek a prescription in order not to miss work. Understandably they could not write for a strong medication. They actually offered to write for Benadryl. $44 for that advice. Was told to go to an urgent care. Paid a $50 copay to be told they don't do that. If urgent cares know they can't treat acute insomnia, why wouldn't a doctor know that? Now $94 out and still wide awake and heading home. Gave honest rating of 0/10 and some concerned person at company asked why. In response get a link to view consult and was told this was a top doctor.
