It’s pretty sad when the insurance…
It’s pretty sad when the insurance company pick because of its coverage lowers your rate when your animal turns eight years old because they cannot afford to do it. Bad business on your part I’ve let everyone know that they should not subscribe to Healthy Paws when they get a new pet. I’m in the animal industry and people always ask me what insurance and I will not be recommending your insurance company.

Outstanding and reliable coverage for our cat, Mango!
Healthy Paws has been incredible to work with. From Mango’s initial vet visits and ER trips all the way to a major surgery bill, every single claim we submitted was processed seamlessly. Reimbursement was in our account within two days of sending the required documents. We also love that our policy includes the 24/7 Airvet feature for quick virtual vet advice. It has saved us so much unnecessary stress. Their team is fast, dependable, and completely hassle-free. Highly recommend!

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance was there…
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance was there for my dog Stevie when he was diagnosed with glaucoma and, after about six months of glaucoma treatment, had to have his right eye removed because the eye drops weren't working anymore. They were easy to deal with, and having this pet insurance made an extremely heartbreaking process a little easier. I highly recommend them.

After weeks and weeks of phone calls…
After weeks and weeks of phone calls and repetitive emails from Healthy Paws requesting the same information they were provided by myself and my vet's office, my claim was resolved. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Young dogs can get sick too, invest before it’s too late
I would tell people how much I’m paying for pet insurance a month. Literally everyone called me insane and told me it wasn’t going to work or my dog was too young I didn’t need to pay for it now. That was all before my dog got diagnosed with life threatening chronic disease at the age of 4. What it took for him to get diagnosed and treated for this disease was thousands of dollars spent in ER clinics visits and overnight stays. He will need to be on medication and receive monthly care and injections for the rest of his life. As a young woman looking to buy a house and start a family soon, that adds up very quickly. Thankfully I didn’t listen to anyone else and still paid my monthly pet insurance fees to healthy paws. After the first claim (reading through his 200+ page medical reports), I now get reimbursed within a few days. My pup is doing great now but he still has his moments when he’s not feeling great and I’m so thankful I don’t have to make the tough decision of getting him the care he needs or paying rent. Thanks to healthy paws, I can call the emergency vet clinic and how I’m going to pay for bills is not even on my mind. Healthy paws has definitely made a positive impact on how mine and my pup’s life is turning out. I don’t even want to imagine what position I’d be in without them.

Fur baby checkup
Fabulous customer service, prompt and courteous replies and feedback if anything like extra paperwork is required.
My baby, even though her senior years are right around the corner, we’ll grow old together. Healthy Paws has given this senior peace of mind knowing that they will always be there for the hiccups in our lives.
Courteous, friendly and very responsive to all my questions.
Thank you…
Very happy pet owner.. 🐶🐾

When you need the insurance you’ve been paying for the most, Healthy Paws does this
I’ve had Healthy Paws insurance for my cat for 10-years, despite the premiums going up every single year. Last year’s increase was a full 20%. For years I’ve had a $500 deductible and 90% reimbursement rate. Last December, the month prior to renewal in January, the company unilaterally decreased the reimbursement rate to 70%. Their explanation for this was that “older pets sometimes needing more vet care”. Which is code for, “We’re increasing your premium by 20%, reducing your reimbursement rate, and you’re stuck with us because your pet has a pre-existing condition no other insurance will cover and we’ll just make sure we make more profit than we have to pay out”. It’s a disgusting and should be criminal act of profiteering. Fortunately for Healthy Paws, because I know all they care about is their profit margins, my cat has an aggressive form of cancer and pretty soon they won’t have to worry about reimbursing me for anymore vet care because she’ll be dead. At a time in her life when I’ll need to provide her with vet care in order to just be as comfortable as she can, I now have to factor in what I can and cannot afford for her care because her insurance company is more concerned about squeezing out every penny by refusing to reimburse me at the rate I contracted for and have been paying higher premiums for every year for a decade. It’s absolutely disgusting. Avoid this company at all cost.
I was a Healthy Paws customer for over…
I was a Healthy Paws customer for over 9 years, since my dog was a puppy, and added my second dog about 2 years ago. In that entire time, I never missed a payment.
My payment card was compromised and had to be replaced. In the process of updating accounts, I didn't catch that Healthy Paws' billing hadn't been updated with the new card. I missed the notice they say they sent, and the policy was cancelled for non-payment.
When I reached out, I explained the situation, asked to pay the past-due amount immediately, and requested reinstatement given my long, clean history. I called, I emailed, and I sent a written follow-up. Every response was the same: they could not reinstate the policy and I would need to enroll in a brand new one.
Nine years of loyalty and a perfect payment record apparently counts for nothing the moment a single payment is missed for a documented, one-time reason. I ended up shopping for and switching to a different insurer entirely (for MUCH better coverage and CHEAPER!). If you're weighing long-term loyalty as a reason to choose this company, know that it won't buy you any flexibility when something goes wrong.

Always great
As per usual, Healthy Paws has been great. At this point, we have been using them for years and will continue until the day our dog finally passes.
They've always been trustworthy. I still always hold my breath when sending in receipts but Healthy Paws always pays what they're supposed to. They've been more like a partner than a company to us.

20 years with current and former dogs
Have been using this vet for close to 20 years. My vet has an excellent reputation in all aspects such as best care, reliable, honest, fair, best treatments of pets She works in an excellent veterinary clinic. She is very knowledgeable and up to date on practices and has created an excellent reputation. Entire staff in clinic follows these same practices and treats pet and family with the same attention, that answering questions leading to best pet care.

Healthy Paws pays claims very quickly…
Healthy Paws pays claims very quickly and without playing games. You submit the claim, they deduct the items that we agreed are not covered and pay that which is covered minus your deductible. No stress or arguing, they do what they say they are going to do. I will use them again with future dogs!

Fourteen Years of Coverage, and Worth Every Penny
We have had pet insurance through Healthy Paws for our French Bulldog, Isabel, since she was a puppy. She is now a grand old lady of 14.
When deciding whether to purchase pet insurance, it is easy to think, “She is healthy. We will probably never need it.” However, after experiencing the extremely high cost of treating IVDD in our other Frenchie, we knew we could not take that chance with Isabel.
As it turned out, Isabel’s first 13 years were mostly healthy and uneventful. We initially never needed to use the insurance. Then old age arrived rather suddenly, bringing with it serious health problems and substantial medical expenses.
Throughout everything, Healthy Paws has been absolutely amazing. The claims process has been simple and straightforward, reimbursements have been handled quickly, and we have never been made to feel questioned or challenged during an already difficult and emotional time. Healthy Paws has covered the majority of Isabel’s eligible medical expenses, allowing us to focus on caring for her rather than worrying constantly about the cost.
We are incredibly thankful that we maintained her coverage throughout all those healthy years. It has made an enormous difference in our ability to give Isabel the care she needs now.
We recommend Healthy Paws to everyone we meet, without hesitation. We truly cannot say enough good things about the company and the support they have provided to our family. If you are considering pet insurance, and we strongly believe you should, Healthy Paws should be at the top of your list. Do not wait until you need it.

Healthy Paws is a bait and switch and DO NOT respond in a timely fashion!
I signed up, received my quote, gave ALL of the information I had regarding my new rescue, paid, etc. THEN my dog age something outside and needed to be seen by 2 emergency vets. I paid the deductible and was reimbursed for a small portion. Okay. THEN they decided to raise my rates by almost double because one emergency vet led with ONE of his breeds. He is a rescue that DNA revealed is 48% Bernese and 52% King Charles. Healthy Paws said he would be much larger than I had reported and told me that they do not take DNA results stating that the vet would be the one to determine the breed. What?? My daughter's rescue came back with 8 breeds when a DNA test was done!!! So, a vet can say that a pup has 5% Chihuahua, 10% Lab, and such. NO! I had DNA done to report in good faith. When my vet said he would not even hit 30 pounds, perhaps only 25 (because she is a mindreader) they wouldn't budge at the new price. They put it "under review" so I waited a MONTH and finally just decided it was not worth it because calling a bunch of times, paperwork, resubmitting all of his records was never enough. In the end, it was a big waste of money and time!!!

After 8 years of paying Healthy Paws…
After 8 years of paying Healthy Paws Pets insurance for my dog (now aged 10), this company does not have respect or courtesy to long time patrons.
My dog came from a rescue as a mixed breed. I may have assumed or written down a “chihuahua mix” in paperwork at the veterinary clinic we go to. (Also, chihuahuas are known to live longer lives bc of their size.)
After I have reduced coverage to 50% with a $1000 deductible. Used to have 80% coverage with a $500 deductible. I’m still paying almost $100 a month, they send me an email telling me that if my dog is a chihuahua mix that they are increasing my premium and if she’s not, my vet will have to fax them with the proof!
I’ve never had a DNA test and I wasn’t about to pay for one just bc they are disrespectful about it and bullying me. Never once in 8 years was there any mention of a problem with my rescue dog’s mixed breed. My dog has been healthy all these years. What a waste of money. Just set aside $50-$100 a month for your pet. Do not waste it on pet insurance with a company that is discriminating pet’s breed and age and try any excuse to increase your premiums. They are very disrespectful. They left me on hold for 30 minutes and when the call dropped they didn’t call back and I waited another 25 minutes. They are the worst!!

I’ve had Healthy Paws for about 9 years now and I just recently filed my first claim (s) . I found the process to be very easy and efficient. It was reassuring to know that I had insurance during the emergency situation. Even more reassuring to see that they actually come through when needed and they did without any hassles or hold ups.
