Heritage Somersby taps

We bought Heritage Somersby taps from Victorian Plumbing late 2019 as part of a bathroom refit. The hot tap is now dripping and we have been trying to get a suitable new valve for two months. However, just had our plumbers round and the old valve cannot be removed from the tap. So we are left with having to seek new taps under the guarantee. Very unhappy with the taps and with Victorian Plumbing who are so slow and, it seems, completely useless. Won't buy anything from them ever again.

Brilliant service

Brilliant service. I have had a Heritage shower for three years now, which has been excellent, but there was a problem with a valve. When I contacted Heritage they were extremely helpful in trying to solve this problem and then pointed out that my shower had a five year warranty and they would be happy to send me a new valve. I had no idea about this. They then did send me the valve within a few days. All for no cost. I am very impressed. Along with loving the actual shower itself.

Everything needs replacing all the time!!

I had three bathrooms fitted in my house circa 3 years ago. We used a lot of Heritage products, including baths, taps and showers.

In the three years they've been installed, we have had no end of troubles, having to replace and repair much of what was installed. Last Friday the hot tap in my bathroom started to fail and I've just had a plumber out to look at it and he has said it needs replacing! This is now ridiculous and costing a small fortune! I honestly don't believe the products have any sort of quality about them at all and I really would recommend steering clear of using Heritage products. I know Lefroy Brooks is more expensive but honestly the quality is superior and you won't be needing to replace every few years! Don't waste your money!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

We had a full heritage bathroom in our en-suite installed quite a few years ago but right from the start the quality was disgusting. The mirror started first. It was gold and after a few months it had tarnished. Heritage did send a replacement. But, yet again the same issue. Then the Clifton heated towel rail started to tarnish too. I complained but they said it was due to water!! A bathroom is full of water!! Then the paint peeled off the radiator part of the towel rail, once again I was told it was water and steam!! This is a bathroom, what do you expect?? Then the bath taps started to tarnish and then the basin ones. I complained again and was told it must be the cleaning products! No. I have always used mild soapy water as instructed. All the plugs and waste did the same. We originally also had the toilet seat which has since been replaced as it was useless too. I also has the shelf and mirror unit, toilet roll holder and toothbrush holder, which….yes, you guessed it! All tarnished and since been replaced. I would never ever buy anything from Heritage again. Extremely poor quality at an exorbitant price!! Please do not buy from this company. A new bathroom suite is an expensive layout and in my mind should last for many years. I am now finally replacing the taps and wastes too. Just leaves the disgusting Clifton towel rail, which I will replace but definitely NOT from Heritage. Thousands of pounds wasted on this terrible company.

Spares provided

Heritage provided a replacement part quibble-free when it could possibly have argued that the plumber fitting it was at fault rather than the manufacture (they clearly took my word for it). Friendly and very helpful customer service.

Beware the 'Black' Toilet Seat

We moved into our new home 18 months ago and I decided to change the toilet seat for what I thought was going to be a quality product - 'black Heritage toilet seat'.
Not realising that the seat would be shrink wrapped, slithers of the wrapping started to peel off. The toilet seat looks an eyesore and obviously wont be hygienic if urine seeps between the plastic and the base.
Although the seat is comfortable and feels very stable it is not worth buying this product, as it is not value for money because of the short shelf life!!

Heritage Clifton Heated Towel Rail

This item is a heated towel rail with a painted cast iron radiator incorporated. After about 18 months of purchase paint started pealing off on each of the radiator vanes (which makes what should be an attractive focal point radiator very unattractive).

On contacting Heritage, they eventually admitted that the radiator was defective and offered to replace it; however, they insisted that I would have to pay the costs of fitting the replacement radiator (not cheap). I found this galling given that they admit that they manufactured a defective product and having paid for fitting once, I do not see why I should be made to pay again.
