It's a good service *if* you can find something worth ordering - which is near impossible to do. Most of the items are at least 10 years out of fashion (i.e. crap they've purchased in the sale that you could have bought for less) and the rare gems that are fashionable are permanently out of stock. I scrolled for hours to find about 30 decent dresses and every single one of them is out of stock in every size. This website only really works if you don't mind wearing outdated clothes

The overall renting experience with Hirestreet is seamless, easy and great! Perfect for a busy person like me where I just don’t have the time to do shopping. The subscription feature is good too as it allows monthly rotations of attires without the worries of ‘hoarding’ too many unnecessary clothes at home. All the pieces are gorgeous and best part is you get to purchase any ones you love for a massive discounted price! So highly recommend!

Used to be so good but terrible since it was taken over!

In the early days, this used to be my go-to for special events and holidays. I think it was taken over at some point, and the business has gone down hill since - shoddy packaging, wrong dresses delivered, slow customer service. Not what it used to be! Quality of the items are not as good as before as well. One dress arrived that was way past it's prime!

Always amazing! I’ve used Hirestreet now for many occasions; black tie, weddings and birthdays. Every time the outfits are wonderful. Never had any issues! Any issues like sizing or length they fix immediately and support team are amazing and helpful. Honestly would recommend, and never will I buy a dress for an occasion again. Hire street everytime!!

Quality of all 3 outfits was great. The setting up was really easy, tracking details were accurate. It’s something I feel helps with substantiality which is a huge plus. Can’t wait to use again. Customer service really friendly too.

I used Hirestreet for a wedding guest dress. They have a massive variety available and all super affordable. I couldn't believe how quickly my order arrived. Their customer service team is great. I contacted them about adding accidental damage cover to my order after it arrived and Charlotte managed it super quickly for me. I'm definitely considering the subscription service next.

I would give 0 stars if I could,
When I ordered from here before it was really good as they put a tag on and any unworn items you got a refund. However on my most recent purchase I ordered three dresses and two do not fit out of the three even though I did check the size measurements beforehand. Contacted customer service who do not do refunds and TAKE a “small fee”of £10 to exchange even though I’ve spent £80 on nothing already and then expect you to pay express delivery (more money to exchange) might as well of chucked £80 on a new wardrobe.
Forcing myself to wear one of the dresses even though I do not feel comfortable in it just purely so I don’t waste all my money, pure scam. Do not buy from here, what an absolute joke. Laughable actually and disappointed in myself from even ordering from here and have learnt the hard way. I should be able to get my money back on the ones I have not worn.

I found a gorgeous dress but when it arrived it was more an evening dress than a day dress (which I was after)so I contacted Hirestreet and they were really understanding and gave me a great discount on another dress hire. Amazing customer service from a brilliant company!

So easy to use and navigate. Much better than buying a dress for an invent and only wearing it once. Found the perfect outfit for a wedding. Delivered swiftly and easy return system. Would definitely recommend and will be using again for any events!

Although new to Hirestreet, I have been very impressed so far. Great choice of clothing, very fast delivery and great customer service. I have subscribed and received one order so far, all beautiful pieces, two of which I may buy at a bargain price! Love the philosophy and everything about it so far, so let's see where it goes!

Absolutely fabulous service! £39 per month for basically an endless wardrobe! Or you can also do one-off on demand orders too. I've went with the monthly subscription...simply because there's SO MUCH on the website I want to try :D

You get to choose new things every month...wear them as much as you want during that time...then send them back, or buy them if you find something you love :) Perfect all year round...but this will come in particularly handy when going on holiday, or occasions like Christmas and New Year, when you might need an extra special outfit, but don't want to splurge too much on something you might not wear again! Or for weddings, christenings....and on and on. Or like me, just for a monthly wardrobe refresh or new holiday clothes.

I've recently received my first rental and I'm over the moon with it. The clothes are beautiful quality from an amazing brand....all brand new with tags!! But the items I selected were from the "new in" section, so that might explain why they've arrived brand new.
I'll take them on holiday and return them when I get back (you get a month with your rentals) I'm actually thinking of keeping a couple of the items....which are heavily discounted if you decide to buy them.

Wish I'd have found Hirestreet sooner :) It's going to be amazing. Can't recommend enough.

I’ve been using Hirestreet for several years and recently returned to update my subscription to their latest model. I needed to cancel my existing subscription first, and the team were extremely supportive throughout the process, including helping me secure a refund. They are always quick to reply and resolve any issues I have. Great customer service and a very helpful team.

I’ve had such a brilliant experience with Hirestreet UK and honestly can’t recommend them enough. The whole process is so easy from start to finish – browsing, selecting sizes, and arranging delivery is completely seamless.

The quality of the clothes really exceeded my expectations. Everything arrives beautifully packaged, clean, and in perfect condition – it genuinely feels like opening something brand new. I love being able to wear outfits I wouldn’t usually buy, especially for occasions, without the commitment or cost.

I now order every month and genuinely love having a constant “new wardrobe” to choose from – it keeps things fresh and means I always have something different to wear without overspending.

Delivery and returns are super convenient, which makes the whole experience completely stress-free. My new favorite time of month is receiving my order box.

Great value and great service

Hirestreet also sell discounted clothes however they will not give a refund or exchange. At no point was I informed that items that are not the size stated in the size chart could not be exchanged. I recommended this company to others however I will be informing them of the issues and poor customer service.

As Described online Guarantee: If the item was labeled a size 10 but measures as a size 8, it is not "as described" under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. In this case, you are entitled to a refund, even in-store

Online/Distance Sales: Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a legal right to cancel for any reason, including wrong size, within 14 days of receiving the item. You have another 14 days to send it back after notifying the seller.

Update…After writing this review I was offered a partial refund which I accepted (due to time, effort and energy) told to keep the items which I will donate to a charity shop. Sadly before this happened I was impressed with the speed of delivery and service. Asked politely via email to remove this content. For this reason I have upgraded the stars in the interest of fairness but just want to make other service users aware of non return policy accepted when buying discounted clothing from Hirestreet. A bargain isn’t a bargain if you are left with clothes that can’t be returned and out of pocket.

New to Hirestreet, found them online and seemed like a great concept. Had a black tie event on Thursday 15 Jan, so I ordered 2 dresses on the Sunday as the website said I would have the dresses from Tuesday 13 Jan to 13 Feb. The order confirmation email then said delivery would be Wednesday 14th Feb (which would still have been fine) however the items did not arrive. I contacted hirestreet by logging a ticket on their website (theres no telephone number) to cancel the order and request a refund as I would now not have any need for the dresses I had to scramble to find and buy a new dress on Thursday, the same day as the event.

The dresses arrived on Friday morning and I still didn’t receive a response from customer service. Overall very dissatisfied with this company and their lack of customer service. If you’re looking for something for an even I’d recommend you don’t waste your time or money with Hirestreet.

Bought £70 worth of items in the clearance sale. The items were cheaply made and didn't fit as shown on pictures but I was told that they couldn't accept returns due to being a small business and they'd be out of pocket if they accepted a return.

When I first submitted a complaint about this due to having a legal right to return, it was completely brushed over. I then had to write a second email before it was taken seriously and even then, I was only offered a £35 refund and told to keep the items. This doesn't really make up for the fact that I've lost out on money and the business isn't following consumer rights, however, I accepted for ease as I don't have the time for seeking legal advice right now.

Policies cannot override a persons rights so this needs addressing by the company, and I certainly won't be purchasing or hiring from them again.
