I had a very positive experience; I was in a rush but I was not rushed
I had a very positive experience working with Will Greenhall at Stockport Hyundai. As someone who is time poor, I really valued how responsive and attentive he was throughout, with clear and timely communication from the outset.
He created a calm and unpressured experience, giving me the space I needed to make decisions while also offering helpful reminders to keep things moving - most of our discussion was by email. Everything was explained clearly in plain language, and he took care to make sure the car was properly set up at handover.
Professional, considerate and very easy to deal with. I would happily recommend him and will return.

From the moment I stepped into Holdcroft MG in Hanley, I was warmly welcomed and immediately felt like a valued customer. But the real standout of the experience was Fletcher, my salesperson, who is genuinely one of the best people I have ever dealt with in any customer-facing role.
I visited the dealership with my kids, and as any parent knows, car shopping can be a long and sometimes boring process for them. My son, who is 8, was starting to lose interest fairly quickly. Fletcher noticed this straight away and, without hesitation, went far beyond what anyone would reasonably expect. He kindly let my son use his phone to keep him entertained and even took the time to teach him a game so he could stay engaged and happy while I focused on finding my dream car. That small but incredibly thoughtful gesture made such a difference and really showed how much Fletcher cares about the whole customer experience, not just the sale.
From the very start, Fletcher was friendly, knowledgeable, and refreshingly honest. He took the time to really listen to what I was looking for instead of trying to push a quick sale. He asked thoughtful questions about my needs, budget, and preferences, making sure the options he showed me were genuinely suitable. I felt fully supported throughout the entire process, not just as a customer but as a parent trying to balance everything at once.
What truly set Fletcher apart was his patience and reassurance, especially as we got closer to closing time and I was conscious that we might need to leave soon. At no point did he make me feel rushed or under pressure. In fact, he did the complete opposite. He repeatedly reassured me that I could take as much time as I needed to go through the paperwork, ask questions, and test drive the car. He made it clear that his priority was ensuring I felt 1000 percent comfortable before making any decision.
And I had a lot of questions. A lot. Fletcher answered every single one with genuine care and attention, even when I asked the same question more than once. He never showed frustration or impatience. Instead, he remained calm, kind, and incredibly thorough, which made the entire experience feel relaxed, supportive, and genuinely enjoyable.
His product knowledge was outstanding, covering everything from engine specs and fuel efficiency to finance options, insurance considerations, and future servicing. His communication throughout was excellent, keeping me updated via calls, emails, and texts, always responding quickly and clearly. The whole journey, from test drive to paperwork to driving away, was smooth, seamless, and stress free.
He even followed up after I collected the car to make sure everything was going well and that I was happy, which really speaks volumes about his commitment to customer care.
The car itself is fantastic, but it was Fletcher’s exceptional service that truly made this experience memorable. It was never just about selling me a car. It was about making sure we all felt supported, listened to, and confident in our decision.
Because of this experience, I honestly would not even consider going anywhere else, now or in the future. Fletcher has completely set the standard for what customer service should look like.

Poor Car, Poor Customer Service
Car was in poor condition with numerous faults. It had a large gap in Service History & wasn't in a condition commensurate with the indicated mileage.
Mike Shotbolt was extremely unpleasant to deal with.

Holdcroft MG and Santander scam
Keep well away from Holdcroft MG Warrington.
If you have ever had a PCP finance through this dealership and Santander, check your paperwork to make sure they have given you a PCP and not a fixed sum loan personal contract purchase. These two products are not the same. The fixed sum loan personal contract purchase takes away your consumer rights and you cannot voluntary terminate your contract after you have paid 50% of the price of the car. Santander have made this product especially to get round the consumer credit act 1975. Santander has removed any trace of a fixed sum loan personal contract purchase from their website. Santander have been reprimanded numerous times by the Financial Ombudsman for this scam and ordered the contract to be reversed and pay compensation.
Holdcroft MG states that there is no legal meaning to the term PCP. This is untrue as the Financial Conduct Authority has defined the meaning of a PCP and any judgements will use the Financial Conduct Authorities definition.
If you check your documents and find somewhere in the very small print or paperwork from Santander after you have drove the car away which mentions fixed sum loan personal contract purchase, I would bet that fixed sum loan personal contract purchase was never mentioned to you during the point of sale and you have no idea of the implications and was never explained to you.
You have been scammed.
My complaint about this mis selling is with the Financial Ombudsman.

Avoid warrington branch
Got an MG HS trophy in April from Holdcroft warrington. I have had to hand the keys back last month after repeated battery issues. It has had 4 new batteries since getting this car. Out of the 28 weeks I had possession of the car I was able to use it for just over 9 weeks. Holdcroft has not been helpful in managing this. It went to my local MG dealership and Holdcroft asked for the car back to look at to decide whether to replace the car they had it for over 6 weeks before looking at it. I was also accused of “dumping the vehicle” at warrington despite the fact they had requested it back. They declined to change the car and I raised a complaint in July, had nothing back, re raised it in august and had nothing back and re raised it again in october still had nothing back. had an oil change brilliant did not expect full car check, radiator leaking, 2 minor issues with roll bar linkages, air conditioning needs service, seat belt needs tensioning, so booked it in , decided to have MOT done same time ,when i arrived did not know i wanted repairs done, just mot sat there for 2 1/2 hrs to be told failed MOT ON 2 FRACTURED COIL SPRINGS, THESE OCCURED 318 MILES LATER, ALL OF US NOT STUPID
Dreadful customer care
Firstly the sale in 2022 went through smoothly apart from being told if I went over my mileage it would be fine as long as I swoped the car before the deal was up. This is completely untrue and basically lies!
The customer care has been dreadful I will never recommend them. I had a huge petrol leak this year which meant nissan having my car for 3 and a half months with only 1 update in this time, I had to ring for my own updates which they never really knew where they were up to. I was given a bright yellow courtesy car 5days after mine broken so this meant as a community worker I could not do my job properly. When I was finally given the car back, a couple of weeks later my warranty run out and I soon realised my electric driver side seat heater wasn't working (as you can imagine in the winter I need this working on late shifts) I rang nissan crewe hoping they would look at it for me considering it was only 2 weeks out of warranty and they had my car for 3.5 months, the staff stated as soon as nissan warranty runs out they don't do any good will!.
Another 2 weeks went by and this really grinded on me and the people I spoke to in the community stated they were shocked and advised I should speak with customer care.
I rang customer care who at first the gentleman was great and quite taken back by the fact Crewe had told me no good will gesture were ever done. After them looking in to it I had a call back stating they won't be doing anything about it and it was my responsibility to pay.
Absolutely appalling customer care. Im very disappointed considering the loyalty I gave them on 2 cars and the price I paid for them.
I will never deal with them again and try my best to discourage anyone else.
