I came into the store (staples corner) today to return a coffee table that is chipping off from the surface due to extremely poor quality. The manager (LUKE) not even listened to us, he made up scenarios that we purposely scratched the table AND PLUS he was rude and AGGRESSIVE and was RAISING HIS VOICE over two single woman. I URGE the ceo of the company to remove such abusive staff from their system. As he can’t just be abusive towards customers. He clearly has anger problems and no communication skills and shouldn’t be dealing with pools.

Went in there with my mother on the weekend . Charlie( think thats his name)was very helpful as he helped my mother carry her bags down the stairs even though I insisted. Its great to see young staff , especially those who are determined to helping customers 👏

I visited Homesense today at the Capital Centre, Preston and they had some really lovely items in store. When I went to the checkout, I was served by a young girl. I placed my basket on the till, as I’ve always done, both here and at TK Max, but was abruptly told to remove it, with no “please” or “thank you.” I understand if this isn’t allowed, but it would be helpful if signs were displayed to make customers aware of this policy.
What stood out to me most was her tone, it was unfriendly and not welcoming. As a young person myself who has worked in customer-facing roles, I know how important it is to be polite and approachable. A simple smile or a kind word makes a big difference to a customer’s experience.
Perhaps this feedback could be taken on board for future staff training. Retail may not be for everyone, but good customer service skills are essential. Unfortunately, that was lacking during my visit, and it did affect my overall experience.

Bought a bed sheet labelled (on the packaging) as super king size. And it was priced accordingly. When I got it home and opened the package, it contained a single size sheet.
Annoyed, but is it really worth the petrol to return it? - the shop isn't close.
Should have got one in Tesco. No more expensive and you pretty much know what you're going to get.

I usually love shopping here. Today however, I had a different experience. The staff who were stocking the shelves were so rude, barging around, pushing past customers and never once apologising for getting in the way. It was difficult to look at the items on display as I was constantly having to move out of the way for a staff member to get past. I felt like the customers were just an inconvenience to them. The framed pictures were so tightly packed, it was impossible to lift them out of the rack. One member of staff shouted out to a customer ‘have you finished with this then?’ .The customer was embarrassed and explained she was going back to it. Overall, no customer service whatsoever - and the attitude of the man at the till was exactly the same.

Great products, but the customer service is absolutely rubbish !
I carried 4 items to the till, all of which were breakable. The member of staff who served me literally only spoke to me once, which was the amount that my bill came to, when I asked how she expected me to carry them . She said it would be 20p for a carrier bag! After I’d spent £40.
She said I didn’t ask for one? Well maybe if she offered one I’d of known I had to pay for one. Not one ounce of politeness in her. Undeliverable rudeness from a shop that sells such nice things.

Went in to buy some cooking utensils and ended up with a sofa! The Altrincham team were great.
At least three of the staff were helpful and informative about purchase and delivery details.
Sandra on the till was especially patient wilst we organised delivery with the helpful Anyvan service.
Compliments to all at this store!!!

What a delightful experience for anyone who’s ever wondered what it would be like to shop in a yard sale after a minor earthquake.
At the till, I joined a queue that moved with the urgency of a snail on sedatives.
The gentleman serving me was a masterclass in minimalist customer interaction.
He achieved the holy trinity of nothing: no greeting, no eye contact, no smile.
He simply processed my item with the quiet despair of a man who knows no-one will win in the end.
The only thing he handed me was a receipt and a profound sense of pity for us both.
Can't wait to not come back!

I always enjoy going into a HomeSense and exploring! I found it by chance one day, went in, thoroughly enjoyed shopping there and left happy. Repeat many times. It’s the attractive look of the store, somehow the layout, the attractive things I get here, gifts to a bath mat, even a holiday jigsaw puzzle, candy, maple syrup. The linens like sheets, towels I’ve bought there hold up, they are quality, so it’s nice to bring home things for my place. Other people I’ve talked to about stores like it. Also, I like it here because I don’t feel they overcharge at all. There’s no comparison to exploring nice things in a store and scrolling on a website where you can’t actually see the things. I respect the think-tank folks who kept to brick and mortar shopping. Checking out beautiful things for your home is one of life’s more enjoyable things to do. Happy in Scarborough 😋

Today I was served by Aminah at the Merry Hill, West Midlands, Branch.
As I was sorting through all my loyalty cards Aminah pointed one out to me and said you have money on that.
I did not understand.
She says it is a gift card. I don't even remember how long I have had it or who gave it to me.
She fed the number in manually and informed me there was £20 on it.
What a lovely surprise.
I told her you have been so kind and I will do you a review. She thanked me and gave me a receipt with her name on it.
Well Homesense she does you proud.
She is a star.
So here it is but I could not do it on the proper Review App because I was taking too long and it threw me out.
Can I just say I have Glaucoma and we have problems reading coloured paper so I could not go through your official channel in the short time you give.
Something for you please to bear in mind.
A big thank you anyway.
The store and your sister store TKMaxx are a delight to wander round and I have always found your staff to be pleasant and helpful.
You run a good ship. X

Always a worthwhile visit at Homesense Altrincham branch. Lovely collections, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Need to specifically mention Rhoda and Helen. They are lovely ladies and amazing with their customer care. It's always a joy to visit this Homesense branch.

A lady by the name Rachel served me in the Taplow branch, lady rudly accused me of adding a reduced lable on a book that was reduced along with others alike, she refused to scan the lable to see if the price was correct for the item and just said she knows the book would not be reduced from just 2 pounds to 50p, I calming explained that I do not know what prices item are suppose to be and of a produced has more than one reduce lable who am I to agure what prices is correct or not, she refused to check the other books that was reduced so I deleted the offer to purchase the item as felt very embraced after her lack of customer service. I purched my other items and left the store and will not be returning.very shameful experience on a day that I was bad news and wanted to shop to relive the stress, thanks for making it worse.
