1 star is far too many

1 star is far too many, dad at end of life care and a very worrying stressful time. I decided to pay to watch TV so he could try to relax watching football.
Fuming that the TV only had 1 channel that half worked before going off, others channels had blue or pink lines
across the whole screen, handset not working properly. Phoned to report it and spoke to a robot, obviously nothing was sorted out.
Im struggling to understand how this company is still in business having now read the mound of similar complaints. I spoke to a nurse who said the company hardly ever come out to service their TVs etc.
They should be ashamed of them selves, beyond disgusting, especially when its the most vulnerable people that want to use this service.
Hang your heads in shame whilst you bank all the money and provide a very shoddy very poor service.

Getting scammed on NHS property!

Should be zero stars!! Wish I’d read reviews first but stupidly thought if it was a scam they wouldn’t be here! Luckily I only paid for one day for tv and movies, terrible picture and no sound, used the phone to speak to the “operator “ it’s a robot and you leave a message but then nothing no response.
As others have said the nhs has to review what’s going on it’s a complete scam, but I suppose someone is getting enough of a bribe not to care.

I am extremely disappointed with the…

I am extremely disappointed with the television service provided by Spark TSL at Manchester Royal Infirmary.

My mum is currently in hospital and simply wanted access to the TV to help pass what is already a difficult and stressful time. What should have been a straightforward process turned into a frustrating mess.

First, I couldn’t get the payment system to work properly. I was told the transaction hadn’t gone through. My sister then tried to pay separately, thinking the first attempt had failed. Both payments were taken from our accounts — yet only one service appeared active.

Trying to resolve this has been even worse than the initial issue. Customer service is effectively non-existent. You’re met with automated responses and no meaningful way to speak to a real person. They are extremely efficient at taking money — even when the system claims there’s been an error — but when it comes to refunding duplicate payments, suddenly it becomes very difficult.

Reading other reviews, it’s clear this is not an isolated incident. Many people seem to have experienced similar problems with payments and poor support. That’s deeply concerning, especially considering this service is used by patients and families during vulnerable moments.

Hospitals are stressful environments. Patients are unwell. Families are tired and worried. The last thing anyone needs is to chase refunds or battle automated systems just to access basic entertainment. It shouldn’t be this hard.

I sincerely hope the NHS reviews the providers operating within its hospitals, because the standard of service here is simply not good enough

Profiteering from and scamming the sick and dying.

So as people lay dying in hospital this POS company charges then to watch to as they’re dying. Prisoners get free in prison! Profiteering from the sick on TV’s that barely work with hardly any channels and radio that doesn’t work show that this firm and everyone that works for it are morally bankrupt. Instead of creating a useable service they allow their pathetic little tellys to charge extortionate fees only for the user to find out they’ve been scammed when the pathetic little reply’s don’t do what they’re being paid extortionately to do.

FYI I have emailed trading standards as it’s illegal to advertise and charge for something that once paid for, isn’t provided.

Profiteering criminals at work here!!!

Edinburgh royal infirmary ward 204 has approx 30 rooms each with 4 beds. All tvs charging full price and none working.

Totally rubbish

Totally rubbish, tv doesn’t work 80% of the time and when it does most of the channels are unwatchable. Tried to use the phone to call the operator and that doesn’t work either.
Was trying to get the tv for my dying mum in her last few days
This company is blatantly taking advantage of the sick.
They would be sick if I could get my hands on them.

Very frustrating

Limited channels on the guide then some are not available others no picture. Supposed to be 50 movies but none to our taste and same every day. £7 per day for the package which would be £200 per month when the full sky package with sports and cinema is less than half.

Wouldn’t even give it a star,

Wouldn’t even give it a star,
Why the NHS is working with this company I’ll never know,
I moved wards and the instructions say phone customers care to transfer your account to new ward.
Waste of time, was ringing all day with no result and then my 24 hours was up, it cost me £9.70 to watch 30 minutes of tv,

Full screen adverts !

My mother is in Hospital so we have paid for 6 days of TV almost £40 , mam can't reach the remote control and full screen adverts appear while she is watching TV. for instance "Do you want to watch Wimbledon" which does not go off until you use the remote to select no. People are paying a lot of money for this service so why should it be interrupted like that while people are watching a program.

I've been in several rooms in two hospitals with my mother over the last five months, the equipment is outdated and often broken, physical controls don't work, on screen controls require more pressure than the average old person can muster and several attempts even then, near £20 for just 3 days television is extortionate even if the equipment was good, in contrast North Tyneside General Hospital has high quality LCD screens that are responsive with free television, I don't understand why Newcastle hospitals allow this, disgusting advantage being taken of a captive audience.

Three bed spaces and not one tv working

My husband has been moved beds 3 times and every bed tv didn't work, you can't speak to anyone at hospedia to report faults, you leave a message on an answer phone. I left 3 messages for one bedspace and 10 days later it still hasn't been looked at. The charges of nearly £10 a day for a few tv channels and movies is a rip off. No one comes to the wards to even check the tvs to ensure they are working. This is an awful service

Just awful

Just awful! No support in spite of constant messages. No support at all - they really don't care about the patients who are already going through traumatic experienced and for whom, watching a bit of tv might be a bit of respite!

Dreadful service difficult to set up

Dreadful service difficult to set up, asking for a card from a. Ending machine that is no longer required. Took over an hour but time allotted still set at first attempt. Then no service at all, phoning rhe customer service line meant all you could do was leave a message. No one returnd call. Emailed twicenoi response. The NHS must sack this company & find one that a. works & b.has a proper customer service unit.
