NEVER BUY FROM HOTPOINT

I bought a hotpoint from John lewis, a year later it was recalled due to being a fire hazard. They replaced my machine, but it wasn't like for like as I assumed it would be but a cheaper model. Less than 9 months later it smells of burning rubber..so I can't use it. Trying to get through to them was horrendous and when you do all they care about is trying to sell you a warranty. Its infuriating, these machines are dangerous and they don't care at all. NEVER EVER BUY A HOTPOINT WASHING MACHINE. I also note that they do not respond to these reviews so have no interest in solving these issues. The engineer is due Wednesday and I am sure they will insist its my fault or the part isn't covered or some such excuse. Hotpoint you are a disaster.

Hotpoint service

I bought hotpoint cookerhood in may and within 2 weeks found filter has gone complete off-colour and in there manual it says that it will go slightly off-colour so this is misleading and I contacted Hotpoint on 5/6/2020 and complain and was told that I was out of 28 days,so they can not help.i trieid to tell them as lockdown so it was not easy to get somebody to install and was advise that they service never stop in lockdown,
Every big company understands except HOTPOINT.
Please take care when buying their product

I had a Hotpoint dishwasher in july 19

I had a Hotpoint dishwasher in july 19, 3 months later the heating element went, it took 3 phone calls, 3 emails and five weeks to repair of which took 5 mins! 3 months later the element went again.I contacted citizens advice and as the product hasnt lasted [8months] and no faults it isnt up to the job its sold for.The staff are appalling, service is ...., supposed to text when engineer is coming do they ? no never received any texts. needless to say we will be spending more on items and buying mieles.Not recommended.the staff are more interested in selling extra ins than the fault itself.
