Highly unprofessional
I get two or three unsolicited irrelevant emails from this company every day, despite blocking them. What I can't understand is how they might think that flooding email addresses could be an effective strategy. It just p*****s me off and I daresay a lot of other people too. Are they not bothered about a professional reputation? Bizarre.
Spam
Keep getting spammed the same email address, (Robert) but under various aliases. Like so many of the other reviewers, we are another recruitment consultancy and have no desire to be spammed with this barrage of irrelevant emails by someone who clearly doesn't care to do basic research in order to build a reputable name for themselves...
Bit of a weird one
Bit of a weird one. I emailed Robert about a position I was interested in, asking for further information before I applied. He was very dismissive and didn't answer my questions because I'd apparently spoken to him earlier that day over the phone. I've never rang the company before and found his dismissive approach unwarranted. Reading the other reviews, I can understand why though

Extremely unprofessional…
We had an extremely unprofessional experience with Henley Chase (trading under Hunter Mason) when a consultant included one of our employees, via their personal email address, in recruitment-related correspondence without authorisation and without any confirmation that this individual was involved in hiring. Recruitment authority within our business sits solely with the directors, and this should never be assumed by an external agency.
When this was raised by telephone, the seriousness of the issue was not initially recognised. Including an employee in confidential recruitment communications demonstrates a lack of professional judgement, poor awareness of client governance, and unacceptable standards for a recruitment consultancy.
Rather than addressing the substance of the complaint, the response focused on a minor spelling error of the consultant’s name, which further reflected misplaced priorities.
As a result of this experience, we will not be using Henley Chase again and would caution other businesses to ensure clear boundaries and professionalism are upheld if considering them.
Spammers

Not a good company at all.
keeps spamming my work email
keeps spamming my work email, despite having never had any contact with them or used my work email for recruitment, LinkedIn or anything registering to any mailing lists. After blocking this email he's started again as Henley Chase
Unsolicited spam emails and Rude
I called the listed number on the email received but this is never answered. Turns out there is a temporary mobile number which can only be seen on the website. When I spoke to "Rob" he did not like the fact that I asked why we had received 8 emails in 5 days from 6 different people at Hunter Mason. All unsolicited spam. I says there is a link at the bottom of the email to simply unsubscribe but when you click this link it says the link is dangerous and I cannot proceed. Either way there was not a care in the world and the Director Rob put the phone down. You do not want to do business with people like this. Clearly these people don't care because the ratings are only 1.3
Insensitive scammers
Every now and then we receive an email saying 'WELFARE CHECK.
Please respond if you are alive and well.
I’m starting to get worried something tragic may have happened.
We can still get this role filled if this isn’t the case.'
Ironically, the only reason we considered looking into recruitment was to replace one of our company directors who had a sudden heart attack out of the blue and died age 33. When we replied explaining that this seems to be a bit on an insensitive email to randomly send out - we got no reply and they just keep emailing us every now and then.
Don't recommend at all.
Don't give them your email otherwise you'll forever be hounded.
Sham company
This company keep sending me emails starting 'Just wondering if any change on the recruitment front'? Every day at least 10 times a day. Its all written by the same person (Robert Hall), but with different monikers each time. The dumbest thing is I am a construction recruiter myself, so this guy is literally sending me candidates that if they were real (which I doubt they are), I could literally take them away from this poor excuse for an agency, and place them into proper 'real' jobs myself. I pointed out this fact a few months ago, and the emails stopped briefly. Then they've started again. Robert, stop being such a weapon. Get a different career, because you suck at recruitment.
PLEEEEEEASE will Hunter Mason STOP…
PLEEEEEEASE will Hunter Mason STOP sending me constant emails. We are not interested. I keep blocking you but you keep on sending me emails. How many consultants do you have? Or are they all made-up people as the email address is the same for all of them. This constant bombardment is a waste of my time and yours. Please STOP.
It started so well................
They proved fairly decent when helping us to recruit for 2 vacancies. The last one didnt work out and as I advised them within the 'get a free peplacement period' that I didn't think the recruit would out, they kindly extended it. When the recruit was temrinated I contacted them for help recruiting for the role. They sent me 3 cv's almost immedietely which looked hopeful (I am suspectful of these claims by recruiters), but then the trail went cold, not replying to emails, hence this review.

Constantly spammed by them as well as their partner companies Henley Chase, Smart Recruitmet etc. They impersonate multiple people from the same email account. No amount of attempts to prevent unsolicited emails has worked. Email requests, unsubscribes as well as verbally asking, nothing helps. This is harassment!

Constant spam emails. Unsubscribing doesn't do anything. Contacting them to request to stop doesn't do anything either.
Using multiple domains including smart-recruitment which they don't include direct company details to avoid it being traced back to them.
ICO seriously need to investigate this company!

Constant Spam Emails from lots of different domains, including smart recruitment domains. Awful company that clearly don't abide by laws as direct contact asking them to remove the entire domain from the mailing list results in nothing.

WARNING * When I politely asked the Director Robert Hall to stop emailing me, as his emails were becoming boarder line harassment, averaging 10 + per day he responded by calling me a 'lazy cow' with some other insults. Not the type of company that I would ever want to do business with!
