Hush Puppies 

I bought a pair of Hush Puppies Asher shoes for work, sure they were comfortable in the shop and I thought being a “premium brand” they would be a good investment. After 3 weeks of wearing, the soles have worn out and there’s a hole in the sole. I can’t believe how rubbish they have been, not what I expected and definitely won’t buy another pair again.

I informed Hush Puppies: the sole on the left shoe has fallen away as though it had never been glued properly. Is there anything you can do to resolve this problem?

They replied: "It is a problem with the Polyurethane used to make the midsole and the problem is called Hydrolysis. Hydrolysis is a chemical break down of a compound due to reaction with water. In our case, we’re talking polyurethane (PU). Polyurethane is used to make midsoles (the component in the middle of a boot between the out-sole and the upper insole). It can gradually absorb moisture over time and deteriorate. The polyurethane gets harder, more porous and at some point, starts to crumble. In extreme cases, it can disintegrate completely and if this happens, the sole might well fall off your shoes/boots.

This is a natural occurrence that can happen to any brand of shoe, it’s not a fault with the shoe. On this occasion there is nothing we can do to help."

Purchased a new pair of slip on mens shoes, have only worn them a handful of times over the last two years and now the leather has perished and cracked (not all of the leather, just where they have used poor quality on the sides) the soles also just came away from the shoe and broke off. These shoes were stored properly in a wardrobe inside, now in the bin they go. Another company that used to have a good reputation, taking short cuts with quality and ripping off the public to make a quick buck.

These shoes are of very poor quality but overated. I bought men shoes twice only for sole to crack. I had not worn them even for a month. Poor return policy here in Kenya. Bata don't accept them back

I bought a pair of pumps from Hush Puppies. The shoes were not inexpensive, but they felt cheaply made. The heels were not comfortable and the outer soles were thin making walking uncomfortable especially as I have a bit of mobility issues due to foot arthritis. I see other reviewers have similar comments so it's not just myself who has had this experience.

After the sale, Hush Puppies sent me an email inviting me to review these shoes. I wrote an honest review and stated as I did above. However, I was very dismayed and shocked to receive a reply email from Hush Puppies administrators stating that my review didn't meet their guidelines!

Therefore, I concluded that Hush Puppies will only publish favorable reviews thereby skewing their review ratings in order to get unsuspecting consumers to purchase their shoes. This is so wrong. And I will never, ever buy from Hush Puppies again after their absolutely wholehearted disrespect of not only my honest review of their shoes but also as myself as a consumer. Nothing I wrote was inflammatory just truthful, however, those in charge wish to control what actual consumers say only if the reviews are negative in their minds.

I also do not and will not recommend anyone I know to patronize Hush Puppies brand.

Hush puppies tucker mens shoes really not a well made shoe, you can feel everything under your feet stitching rough around the shoes my guess made in China stay clear not worth the money

I gave my son some unworn hush puppies which had been in my husbands wardrobe a couple of years. Within an hour of wearing them indoors the soles crumbled.
I sent photos to the company and got the “it’s due to the mid sole” story other people have been told.
Utter rubbish, like the shoes.

Really wish I had read all of the bad reviews warning to steer clear before I placed an order. Tracked items returned soon after delivery. They didn't fit. Received by seller on 22nd September. 6 weeks and numerous emails later STILL no refund. Appalling customer service. £135 out of pocket. Advised twice my refund was made on 18th October.....not received. I must have been mixed up with another customer apparently 🤔 Waiting AGAIN for today's promised refund....it will take another 5 to 7 days. Don't buy from these unless you have lots of free time to manage the transaction yourself. Nightmare!

I bought a pair of shoes online, they arrived not very well packed but ok. When i opened the box it was the wrong colour shoes, i returned the shoes and asked for a refund and they deducted £5 for delivery. How can you deliver the wrong shoes and charge the customer for there mistake. You have lost another customer.

Purchased 2 pairs of Hush Puppy Leather Uppers and Bounce technology souls -these fell apart on the souls ,with very little use about 8Ks walking each pair.
When I got in contact with Hush Puppys - Australia to complain about the quality of their product , they stated , it is due to through lack of use, and lack of air, and moisture, which breaks down the chemical composition in the souls, sitting in a walk in robe cupboard -What a load of rubbish ,so what are they made of toilet paper ??
Unhelpful company, that are selling an inferior product ,that they will not replace - The leather tops of the souls are like new ,on both pairs of these shoes ,however unfortunately, the souls are junk .
I have never had a pair of shoes that fall apart sitting in a cupboard ,have you people reading this??
Don`t waste your money buying any of these Hush Puppy shoes now, they used to make good shoes but at present the quality is very poor ,with no back up from the company for replacement.

Would not buy from this company again. They simply don’t want you to return goods for refund. The advice on their website is contradictory and, at best, vague. No returns address provided and you have to pay for the privilege, which is out of line with sector norms. Trading off an established brand name, but acting like amateurs. Stay well clear.

Customer Service and returns shocking, no help. You have to pay to return, no advice on how to return to an outlet or if you can. Site for returns is under construction and haven't responded to question.

Many years ago I wore hush puppies all the time and loved the quality and comfort of them, I recently purchased a pair of hp loafers and in no time at all they are falling to bits. I am very disappointed and wish I had read the appalling reviews on this very substandard product, it appears that customer service is as poor as the product so I won’t bother with that but I will only be ripped off once.👎👎👎

I am appalled at the lack of customer service I have received. After wearing my hush puppies four times and sending photographs as requested, of a clearly pair of faulty shoes- showing a detached flapping sole, due to poor quality materials and manufacturing faults I have had nothing but sarcastic responses - not a "can do" or helpful team. Just hiding behind their "rules" which are not at all flexible. With countless time wasting emails back and forth.
I paid for a pair of shoes that I cannot wear and they offering me a 20% discount on my next pair which is an absolute insult. I will never ever buy Hush Puppies again nor wish to deal with the dismal excuse of a customer service department ever again.

Bought a pair of comfortable looking sturdy shoes but the sole wore out within the first month. Unbelievably poor quality product for too much money. It seems like they are throwing their brand under the bus licensing the brand to crapy producers.

Sole on shoe distingrated after very little use making them completely unwearable. Hush Puppies not interested in the slightest. Quality appalling, customer care appalling, shoes not worth buying. Never again. Be warned.

Kids school shoes were too heavy. And on top of it, you pay for delivery cost plus returns are not free. Weird

I bought a pair of Hushpuppies Tucker shoes on 6 May 2020. Within a month the lining was worn out at the toe over the front seam. I walk between 2 and 3 miles a day, but after 2 months the soles started to split over the air pockets in the heel. After 3 months the sole has split over the air pocket at the toe and completely slit over the ball of the foot. The sole now lets in water.
The shoes were supremely comfortable, but are not suitable for walking in. I have never previously worn out any shoes in less than 2 years. Don't buy

Have bought Hush Puppies on several occasions over the years always found them comfortable and of excellent quality, so I bought a pair on line, big mistake, the leather is pulled and misshapen where it is stitched to the sole, didn't even try them on, disgraceful, thought they were seconds, then I read made in Tiawan, say no more
