I booked a special rate that was said to be their best price

I booked a special rate that was given to patients at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. This was supposed to be their lowest rate but non refundable. I later found on their website the rate was $22 per night less but Hyatt will not match the price even though they have a price match guarantee. Expected better from Hyatt. No quality or customer service anywhere anymore

Lies and Marketing Gimmicks

"The Best Rate Guarantee" on Hyatt's website is a pure lie and a marketing gimmick. I booked through their site and shared screenshot for booking DOT com where price was lower. First they said they can't 'reproduce' the rate on booking DOT com due to secret deal which they can't see. I provided them further explanation that even if you remove special discount from Booking DOT com, their price is still higher.
Once I sent them all screenshot with clear markings and asked them to share what they can see, they stopped responding.
I had a decent experience with actual hotel but their customer service who responds to best rate guarantee requests is like you are talking to a wall!

Do not stay at Kissel hotel in Downtown Oakland

I don't like to write negative reviews but this hotel has forced my hand. This hotel is shady...straight up. I'm a man of principal, honesty and I work too hard to get treated the way I have been. Let me get into it...

On August 10th, I went to support a good friend of mine (Booziebrunch) for a brunch she was hosting. As most of you know, downtown Oakland is known for folks getting their cars broken into so I decided to valet my car since it was connected to the hotel.
Upon returning later that night, I see the valet guys duct taping my driver side mirror due to them breaking it. I'm a patient man and Kissel seemed to be a good spot so I didn't get mad, I would let my insurance handle it and this would be fixed. No harm, no foul.

Fast forward to today and they have STILL yet to contact me. Each time I call, I am either given the run around or hung up on. Marcela Barrientos was supposed to contact me and she hasn't. I've called and emailed her multiple times. This is very disheartening.

Since I do not live in Oakland anymore, I am unable to visit in person but I will never return nor stay here. It's clear to see that they don't mind taking your money but won't do the right thing and correct their mess ups. Apparently they are affiliated with Hyatt and I have submitted an official complaint with them.

I accidentally booked at the hyatt…

I accidentally booked at the hyatt centric in new york city when my intentions were the Grand Hyatt in new york city, they told me they would not refund me unless i emailed them that i booked the stay at Grand Central, so I did and emailed them, they emailed me back with a receipt of another guest, imagine that. My firsy night at Grand Central, my shower was backing up, i told the agent at the desk, she said i am sorry and that was it. My second day i had requested many times toothpaste and some extra bath towels, i had to call multiple times, i finally got toothpaste and no towels. I called guest services again, never got any towels. You would think 2000 dollars for three days the experience would be great, not here. I emailed Mark Hoplamazian, the ceo of hyatt and called his office and left message, got no calls or emails back. Finally some nasty woman named Gigi emailed and said we will put points on your account, the points wont even cover one night, i suggest for you to look elsewhere besides hyatt.

Hyatt Anchorage - a most disappointing experience!

I am staying at the Hyatt Place in Anchorage, Alaska with nine friends. We are paying over USD 400 a night and the hotel is worse than a one star bed & breakfast.
They do not make up the rooms unless you specifically ask them (and then they forget), the cutlery in the restaurant is all plastic (definitely not ecological) and the selection of food in the restaurant is pretty poor.
However, the staff are nice but there is clearly a problem with under staffing.
A most disappointing experience and certainly not what you would expect from a hotel of this supposed quality

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. Raised a complaint in June after staying at one of their Inclusive Collection Hotels in Majorca (Calvia Dreams 😡). Paid for UNLIMITED LUXURY. What a joke. We received hardly anything of what was advertised when we booked. Then to top it all after a shocking 3 nights they damaged an expensive Ted Baker suitcase. The complaint has now dragged on since mid June and my emails are being ignored. Save your money and book with a hotel chain you can rely on to deliver what you pay for and take accountability for their mistakes.

Hyatt Hotels have terrible customer service.

I booked a hotel room at this hotel when my flight was cancelled in Denver to my next location. I booked through HotelsTonight.
I arrived at their hotel at almost midnight on Saturday, August 10th, exhausted and looking forward to a soft bed and a good nights rest. I arrived at this hotel with my room reservation confirmed, and they saw the reservation on the screen, but said unfortunately, they had no rooms available for me. I was devastated to say the least!
I am under the impression that booking through a third-party app like expedia, booking.com and others like it are representative of Hyatt itself, since they contract with these sites to get their rooms more chances of being booked. They said there was nothing they could do. I called HotelsTonight, and they promptly refunded me and called the hotel to find out what had happened. The hotel receptionist told HotelsTonight that there been an inventory mixup on their end. Iahd to find another hotel nearby, pay over the phone, and pay to take a Lyft there, finally getting to sleep close to 1 am. I reached out to Hyatt Place Peña Station the next day to give feedback about my experience fully expecting them to take some responsibility for this huge error, since I arrived at midnight and found no room available for me. The manager, Louis, told me that it’s all HotelsTonight’s fault that they had still listed a room available. Even though the receptionist fully admitted that they had overbooked. They also took no responsibility for the fact that they allow the sites to post rooms for them representing them as a company. Both managers I spoke to said they would take no responsibility and it was not their fault that there was no room when I arrived. So I asked why they allowed these third-party sites to represent them as a company because it reflected poorly on them . In fact, Louis, even though I was polite and matter-of-fact hung up on me. There’s clearly is not a good relationship between these third-party sites and the hotel company. However, the hotels continue to
use these third-party apps and we as consumers should be able to trust that when we book on them that we are guaranteed a room. I had to book another hotel and take a Lyft to it, costing me much more than what I thought it was going to pay that night. All I asked is they me compensate me a room some other time in the future. They refused. They took no responsibility and blamed it all on the third-party site.
I just want other people to know that this is a possibility with Hyatt Hotels. I personally will not be staying at a Hyatt hotel ever again. I feel like the customer service all the way through the process has been absolutely terrible. They clearly are a big enough company that they do not care about whether they get negative reviews or negative responses to certain things that happen . That is their corporate culture from what I saw.

Stayed at the Grand Central Hyatt in…

Stayed at the Grand Central Hyatt in New York and the Chicago O’Hare Regency Hyatt and whilst I would say both hotels were lovely my issue is with paying the deposits. Both hotels took over a month to release or pay back the deposit despite having been told it would take 4/5 working days when it was taken. After numerous e mails chasing it was eventually re paid. I was paying interest on my credit card for over a month whist they held the payment . Not good at all .

Bad service in Las Vegas

We arrived at the hotel aprox. 3PM after a hot day in downtown Las Vegas (118 degrees) and was looking forward to jump into the pool.
We checked in at the lobby and there was absolutely no information what so ever that the pool was out of order.
We took the elevator to our room to change clothes and my daughter noticed a paper taped to the wall of the elevator "Pool out of order". We took the elevator down and didn't even get to our room.
I had a heated discussion with a lady in the reception and I asked for the manager. We were NOT going to stay 5 days in Vegas in 120 degress without a f….. pool.

No Customer Service and Bad Policies

We booked 3 nights (July 19-22) at the Hyatt Place LAX/Century Blvd. Our flight on July 19 was cancelled because of the Global outage. We wanted a refund, but Hyatt Place DID NOT RESPOND TO ANY OF OUR EMAILS OR CALLS. This was a package with 2 different airlines and a car rental involved. Both airlines and the car rental refunded us our money with no questions asked. Hyatt did not refund us our money nor respond to any of our emails or phone calls. We will no longer be staying at any of the Hyatt Hotels. Shameful company.

Hyatt Place Memphis/Germantown

Hyatt Place Memphis/Germantown
This is the worst Hyatt in which I have stayed. Our truck got broken into, two side windows were broken and a bag with our personal belongings was stolen. Turns out that this happened two days before (we found out from another guest). We had parked the truck in a very well-lit area, right next to the pool. Management should have warned us that there were security issues.
In addition, the hotel is very poorly managed, the rooms smell, the carpet is old and EXTEREMELY dirty, the breakfast was mediocre. Management is very poor.

Hyatt Mall of America

My stay at the Mall of America was not a good experience because of the ant Infestation or at least the room I stayed in did and I the pics to prove so. Two night stay ants in the cup of water left on the nightstand ants in breakfast plate very disappointing, told front desk at checkout an all she could do is take off a parking fee which at this point between a stay at hyatt place airport in Denver Co alot of their hotels run on very poor ethical standards to say the least and after all of it I still haven't received my deposit back 😕. Nor did I receive an email to give my feedback for my stay after I notified front desk. Very upset about this situation!

Hyatt Place Chicago River North was Awesome!!

My experience at Hyatt Place Chicago River North was exceptional! I was in town for the SHRM conference, and from valet service to my room and overall stay, everything was outstanding. Special shout out to Hamza and Freddie in valet—they're incredibly efficient and know exactly what they're doing. Cho and Javy at the front desk were also very helpful and attentive to our needs. I give the entire team 10 stars! I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Chi-Town! - Ken Green

We stopped in a 4* Hyatt in Mallorca

We stopped in a 4* Hyatt in Mallorca. At a push it made 3*. Basically a tick box system to get 4* Eg. Yes there is a safe in the room, tick. However then they charge you €3.50 a day to use it. Towels for the pool, tick. Then they charge you to change your towel.
Fridge in room, tick. Then there is nothing free in it or products to purchase.
4* with no kettle in room or iron. Yes you can borrow for you guessed it €3.50 a day. Run down hotel masonary dalling off building flying passed our balcony. and damaged my foot twice outside by pool. Food oh goodness. Same menus every night slight variation on sauce. VERY BLAND and pink chicken.
I could go on. Just to say we will not be going to a Hyatt again.
