Fantastic bike — and exceptional service from Hygge
We have a Hygge Vester Lite and have always been extremely impressed by the quality of the bike itself. It is solid, stable and reassuringly sturdy, and it rides beautifully.
Ours had unfortunately been unused for around three years for medical reasons completely unrelated to the bike, and when we came to use it again the old battery needed replacing.
This is where Hygge really excelled. Their customer service was absolutely fantastic. The staff were professional, helpful and responsive, and genuinely went the extra mile to make sure everything was sorted in time for my son to receive the bike as his graduation present. We really couldn't have asked for better service.
And the result? One extremely delighted son, who was off on it almost immediately and absolutely loving it! 😄
A huge thank you to everyone at Hygge who helped us. We're delighted both with the service we've received and with the Vester Lite itself.
For anyone considering an e-bike and looking for something that feels solid, sturdy, dependable and built to last, our experience with Hygge has been an extremely positive one.
Thank you, Hygge — one very happy family and one VERY happy new graduate! 🚲❤️

Excellent customer service. Andrea was very helpful as I went through the cycle to work scheme. Extremely quick delivery too which was great. Very attractive bike with good assist as I have to navigate an enormous hill to work. One criticism and it might be my age (62) but I do find it hard to fold and carry. It's really quite stiff and heavy to manouvre. That is my only criticism though.

I bought the Hygge Lossø Commuter to replace a faulty Tenways CGO009.
The delivery was quick and the helmet and pannier looked particularly well made.
The handlebars and pedals were not fitted and needed a certain amount of common sense to attach.
The gears and handlebar needed adjustment which required a bit of googling.
The reflectors were not fitted, possibly the tools were not available.
The battery was completely flat, which was a worry at first.
Pros over the replaced bike:
Front fork suspension
Much more comfortable handlebar grips
Much quieter chain (rather than noisy belt)
Over 15MPH requires less manic pedalling due to gears
Adjustable handlebar height
Reflectors on tyres and wheels
Better placed lights
Battery charge seems to last longer
Cheaper
Free stuff
Cons:
Over 15MPH is harder work
No pump/less tools
No tracking or alarm
Noisier motor
Overall very positive so far.

Ordered my bike through CycleScheme and the whole process once it came to getting my bike from Hygge was really simple and stress-free. Any questions I had were answered swiftly and all information was really clear. The bike's pretty good too! Especially liked how a phone holder and a bag came with it for no additional cost.

Let’s start with this – I’d never heard of this brand before, and Hygge was a complete unknown to me. A while ago, my Cannondale Neo Compact – which I’d bought from Evans Cycles – gave up the ghost. It was still under warranty, but the service centre and EC were unable to repair it. I started looking for a replacement for the bike I use for my daily commute to work. I live in Aberdeen and my route involves climbing some steep hills, which the Cannondale managed quite well. I wanted a folding bike (to save space at home) with 20-inch wheels. After a long search, I found a video on YouTube featuring the black Hygge Vester 2026 and, quite frankly, I fell in love with it. After an email consultation with Hygge’s Customer Service (Burhan, you’re brilliant!), I decided to go ahead with the purchase. Delivery was lightning-fast, and the bike arrived in less than three days. Brilliant, lightning-fast service and delivery. Now, about the bike itself – perfect design, very well thought out, ideal for customising to suit your needs. Mechanically, it’s a Bentley, not a bike. It rides like a motorbike – the bike is superbly balanced, very comfortable, and the 20-inch tyres glide over the road as if through powder. Climbing my wretched hills at 25 km/h without the slightest effort. The display is bright and intuitive; the brakes are razor-sharp. Compared to my Cannondale, it feels as though I’ve swapped a horse-drawn carriage for a spaceship. I highly recommend Hygge and their products – again and again. I’d also like to commend their Customer Service and send my regards to Burhan, Sarah and everyone at Hygge who helped me.
Don’t think about it, don’t look any further – just check out Hygge and feel the wind in your hair! Thank you Hygge! Well done, Denmark!

Well constructed website. Order placed with ease. Hygge notified me that there was going to be a delay with delivery. I had a deadline to meet as I was going abroad and the bike was required for the trip. Good comms ensured that the bike was delivered in time. The bike is an excellent product and is very good value for the price. An all round satisfying experience.

The delivery was delayed by a few weeks, but since I have been having a great experience with my bike.

Refreshing to deal with a business that’s so customer friendly. Delighted with the overall quality of our new bike and would have no hesitation in recommending Hygge bikes.

My husband and I are now the proud and very happy owners of a pair of Hygge Virum bikes.
The communication with Hygge from start to finish has been very positive.
One of our pannier bags was missing the clips to attach to the rack and the replacement bag arrived, as promised in time for our trip with the bikes.
The bikes are great to ride. So far so good.

Probably my own fault for not reviewing more thoroughly as wanted a folding bike to take on a cycle holiday but absolutely no chance with this. It is so large and incredibly heavy. It is a nice solid bike but very impractical. I also got a puncture in rear wheel after a few outings which didn't help as not something to that can be easily fixed

The process of ordering and receiving the bike was incredibly straightforward. I was using Cycle scheme and the member of staff from Hygge whom I spoke to talked me through the process simply. And as for the bike.... I live it!

Due to issues with my knees, which limits walking in the hills, i looked for a bike that would allow me to still enjoy where I live (The Brecon Beacons), so electric with the ability to climb hills, and portability as my partner loves on the south cost, and being able to take my bike with me was a key requirement. After being amazed at the cost of the bikes suggested (circa £3k) i stumbled across Hygge on youtube.
I purchased my Vesta directly from(opting for their offer to allow a test with free return if i couldn't get on with it) and never sent it back!
For the money the blend of ability, features and quality, supported by excellent after sales support, has been an absolute joy in a retail world that promises a lot, and delivers the minimum (despite the requests for constant feedback which is ignored by most!)
I cannot recommend thsi brand enough. Its introduced me to a new world which I love.
Thanks Hygge.

I've had my Hygge Vester for a month or so now, and bar a couple of teething problems, I'm very happy with the bike.
The problems:
Came out of the box with brakes not calibrated, gears not indexed and an alarming problem with the steering column, in that it lurched forwards under braking. However, I went with Hygge because of their partnership with Decathlon in the UK who fixed all of these things under warranty. Once sorted all was well.
'Puncture resistant tyres' is bit of a nonsense, as I've already had a puncture. It's just bad luck and nobody's fault, but you will get punctures, just as on any tyre. It's a bit like broadband providers saying get 'up to' 30Mbps internet speed. You might only get 4Mbps, but they haven't falsely advertised. Same with 'Puncture resistant', it doesn't actually mean anything. For the record - Decathlon don't stock inner tubes for 20x4inch tyres, I had to order them online and take them into my local branch to get the puncture repaired.
The saddle - can only be moved laterally, it has no vertical movement. It's just a slight annoyance, especially as the clamp is tightened so hard, I can't actually undo it to get the saddle situated laterally as I'd like it.
Battery life/range - Seems perfectly fine. The claimed range is 'up to' 50 miles, but I live in Yorkshire and God put a load of hills here. This means that I can't really do more than approx 25 miles on a single charge. Let me tell you though, it gets up the hills like a dream.
The positives:
Firstly, Hygge's customer service and after sales care is exceptional. I'm extremely impressed with their speed of response and determination to fix any issues you may have with your purchase. They back you to hilt and keep you informed every step of the way. Absolutely first-rate and it's why I would tell anyone looking for an E-bike to go with Hygge. That and the fact that Decathlon are service partners.
The bike itself is extremely well built and a joy to ride. I've not had an E-bike before so I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of effort. I'm also 63 and hardly in peak physical condition, so when I tell you that riding is pretty much effortless and comfortable (aside from saddle-soreness, but you know, that's just saddles, right?)
Most of all, buying my Vester has provided me with mobility and I'm out every day having the best time on it. It's a total pleasure.

I'd spent a lot of time choosing the best e-bike and once I'd seen the Hygge Vester, there was nothing which would surpass it! It's life-changing!! Those hills on the way to work?- no more an issue!! Great and easy to purchase online as well as prompt delivery and the 0% finance is an attractive option too! Tusind tak!

I purchased the Hygge through Cycle to Work scheme, and the entire buying experience was seamless. Andrea was absolute fab all the way through—brilliant communication from start to finish. The complimentary free gifts (the bags and phone holder) were a really lovely added touch.
I’ve been using the bike frequently across all kinds of terrain, and it performs brilliantly. It’s just as smooth and capable on canal towpaths as it is on tarmac roads and everywhere in between. The electric assist kicks in promptly and provides a great burst of speed right when you need it, and the battery life genuinely lives up to what’s advertised.
From a practical standpoint, it looks fantastic without having that clunky "electric folding bike" look. The frame design makes it very easy to dismount, and the folding mechanism itself is straightforward and quick.
A couple of minor drawbacks worth noting depending on your setup:
Weight: It is on the heavier side. If you need to lift it onto a narrowboat, into a motorhome, or up steep steps regularly, it takes some muscle.
Display Font: The digital display could definitely do with a larger, bolder font—it’s a bit tricky to read at a glance if you rely on reading glasses!
Bell: The included bell feels a bit basic and could be improved.
Overall, I absolutely love the style, color, and performance. A fantastic, reliable ride that I’d happily recommend.

I bought the Hygge Virum through the Cycle to Work Scheme.
Pros:
Very intuitive bike, you can get used to it super quickly.
It is great for commuters as it is accepted on UK trains.
It's great if you live in a hilly region!
Great design and quality, lovely colors, easily foldable.
Great customer service: Andrea King has responded very quickly to all my questions and was super efficient in providing the documents for the Cycle to work scheme.
Delivery was smooth: I was kept informed throughout.
Cons:
The bike is 18 kilos: it's not that heavy but if you are not super strong, it may feel like a lot.
I've been enjoying my bike! I would definitely recommend it.

Experience I've had with hygge bikes is exactly what we needed to be able to fold down bike and fit into garage of motorhome.Just like we were told.

I bought the Hygge Vester folding ebike. It wasrelatively easy to put together out of the box. It feels very well built. It has no problem assisting me with any incline as a 16 stone male. It's a good looking bike that feels like it will last and i have certainly tested it on some very rough tracks already. Very happy with the product and overall service from Hygge.
