I don’t like anyone coming to the house but the young man that recently came to service our boiler from Ideal was so polite and courteous I may have changed my mind
He was very professional and explained to me what he was doing and the name of the part he was replacing and why

The Engineer, was very efficient and professional. He took the time to removed parts and cleared dirty stuff from the boiler.
He did an excellent job.

Last year's engineer was in and out in 30 minutes.

Was a little frustrating to be without hot water from Sunday to Wednesday, but your guy Damien was brilliant. Sorted the problem, super courteous and kept us well informed as to times etc. Give that man a promotion!

The Ideal boiler I picked has been running smoothly for 4 years now. The boiler has been entirely reliable and, one grommet aside, required no spare parts.

Despite the high popularity of this boiler I have had difficulty finding a local engineer to perform the annual service. But Ideal have thought of this, and happily arranged an appropriate engineer visit on their website; highly convenient!

Do book your annual service well in advance, however. Even Ideal need a lead time of 2-4 months to get a serviceman to you

The local plumber called Ideal regarding my boiler. They arrived first thing next morning. The representative was very polite and dealt with the problem swiftly and professionally. Said if I experienced any further problems not to hesitate to call back.

My annual boiler service was easy to arrange and seemed very thorough

Booked annual service for a day that suited me, went as expected no issues and a very nice and friendly gas engineer completed the job efficiently

Our system boiler is 8 years into it's 10 year guarantee and whilst it didn't fail, it began to make a loud noise when igniting. I called the helpline and the staff member I dealt with was very friendly and organised and engineer visit but warned it might be two weeks away. The next day I received a message from the engineer to say he would be with me the next day, which was a Saturday.
The problem was quickly fixed - it was dirt in the gas valve, and a new valve was fitted. The boiler is back to it's best.
