I was lucky enough to get 4 years out of a remote before the off button failed. I used it multiple times a day as my main bedroom light during that time. A miracle from what I read on here. I was able to remove the failed button by using a Stanley knife, (take batteries out first) knife off one of the working buttons and gently sticky tape the working button over the off position. The remote now works again. I left it between my pillows for 4 years, I won't risk that again now I've got it working again.

As people have said, the lights are fine, the remotes though...

I think it depends on what you want to do with them. If you want to play around once in a while (like change their colour because you have a migraine) they are fine. If you want to regularly use the remotes to turn them on and off and change brightness etc, you'll have issues.

OTOH, the fact that it uses remotes instead of a wifi hub or so on does reduce the hassle of installation and avoid any security issues you might be worried about. I think they are cheaper than similar products as well.

So yeah, get it if you want essentially a normal warm-white LED lightbulb with an occasionally used gimmick to wow visitors. That's how I use them and it's fine. You might want an extra remote as a backup.

Wow, scary to read. Similar Experience to a lot of the comments. Great Lights, crap remote control. Batteries drain really fast often we need to shut of the power. Why are these units still being sold? Where is the response from idual?

It worked fine for a couple months but now the ‘on off’ is not working, the dimmer and colour changer works but I cannot turn the light on or off without going to the wall switch.

So on a reliability score of zero I do not recommend this product.

The bedside lamp with usb charger works well. The remote control is an absolute disaster and waste of space. Eats up batteries like there is no tomorrow and suddenly stops functioning. Why isn’t there an app to control the light?

So my adventure has been started at the point when I bought an RGB bulb on discout from 22€ to 5€ or something like this. And I didn't knew that for this bulb the special wireless remote control is required. Remote control thing price was about 6-7€ but in the stationary shop I have found another lamp on discout at discount from 30€ to 15€ with this remote included. I bought both of them just to have compatible REMOTE rgb lighting inside a small room. I mean bulb and main lamp. What is the result? The (main, let's say) lamp has very poor coolors + there is a problem whitch remote on a distance of 2 meters. Bulb has better colors and range for remote but anyway we are at 2021, remotes were popular 10 years ago. Any kind of product from this brand is outdated. DO NOT BUT ANYTHING FROM iDUAL

Agree with all the other reviews. Bought two great lamps. Still going strong after a while but remotes are utter trash. Break after only a few months. Keep having to source and buy new ones. Easier said than done. Disappointing.

What rubbish, just purchased these returned home only one bulb works and the quality of the remote is awful, they are a company that is obviously having issues no web support can’t even send message to them via there website.

I purchased 3x kits of the iDual Jedi colour changing downlights from Bunnings a few years back, and while the lights themselves work great, I cannot say the same for the remotes. Absolute trash. Going through AAA batteries like nothing Ive ever seen, buttons falling off, or getting stuck in. And I cant get a hold of the company for replacement, so that great.

But there is hope. Some crafty fellow finally created an App that I found on the Playstore called vRGB (its easier to find by using Google than the Playstore), and if your phone has an IR blaster your in luck. This has solved my issue being able to control the lights from my phone with the full functionality of the remote. Why iDual themselves didnt develop this App I will never know, but credit to this guy.

Stupidly I bought the remote and IP65 splashproof bathroom downlighter set 4 months ago and in December bought my daughter the twin bulb pack and remote. By end of Feb the bathroom system has failed (bulb not remote) and 1 of the 2 bulbs in my daughter’s bedroom failed after 4 weeks.

I contacted the manufacturer and heard nothing back.

I am attempting to locate their corporate headquarters to serve a legal notice on.

Zero customer service, just take your money and attempt to hide behind national retailers.

The lights are okay, but the remotes are very bad. Idual does not react to the messages i did send them, asking them how to solve this matter. I will return the products, I'm tired of them.

Bought a twin pack and impressed with the lights, but was very disappointed with the quality of the remote. Broke after only a couple of weeks. Looking at the build quality of the remote it is very poor and does not surprise me that it fails.
Have emails the manufactures twice in the last couple of months regarding the problem and received nothing back.
This is not a cheap product to buy but the quality and customer services are indicative of a make a fast buck quick company. Do yourself a favour buy something else

Installed 4, one went dimmer after 4 weeks and now both remote controls have failed after 8 months.
Can't seem to purchase these remotes anymore and contacting Idual is a waste of time as I learned after the dimming incident. Causing me problems as removing them will mean changing a multitude of things.

I have installed 2 separate Jedi lights, each with its own iDual remote. After only a month both of the remotes failed. Absolute junk. Do not buy this product.

I have 3 Idual Dahlia led lamps and on all 3 remotes the off button as stopped working, I have sent Idual 2 messages and as yet not received a reply, as i am claiming under the warranty as Dunelm as stopped selling them.
This company needs to take a good look at the way they respond to their customers.

Agree with Rod - contacted the manufacturer after a failure within 4 weeks of purchase, and heard nothing. The fact that B&Q are selling them off under the guise "stock clearance" must surely say something!
Suggest you give this a miss....

Lights are great - remote controls are rubbish. Have 2 lamps with identical remotes. One remote failed and was replaced under warranty. The second remote went wrong and now the replacement has failed. Poor design

Terrible customer service. Have a broken light under warranty. Have contacted them 3 times and no response.
