Superb experience doing the 3 day EPPI course with IMDT. Steve and his team are super knowledgeable and have completely transformed my approach to training classes. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Honestly I had a terrible experience while trying to complete the level 3 dog training course. I have thought hard about this over the last month before writing this review but feel I should share my experience.

The tutor was incredibly apathetic , pedantic & unhelpful leaving random comments on my workbooks after I had submitted them. When asking for support I just had a copy & paste response from the handbook that was issued rather than anything actually useful and relevant to the question I had asked. Made me extremely despondent and I was struggling anyway with working a full time job while trying to complete the units. When I sent the final unit in early I was told that this wasn’t acceptable as I had completing it too quickly and that I had obviously used AI despite my previous two units being fine and passing with a decent grade. They actually state some people will complete quicker than others but be warned as they don’t like you actually doing this!

Due to these reasons I haven’t managed to complete the process which has resulted in a waste of my hard earned money, no certification and now a total lack of desire to do dog training as a new career.

My advice is - save your money and look at an alternative provider .

IMDT is the leader in terms of setting the standards for professional ethical and positive training for our canine furbabies their training offer is very extensive and people are on hand to offer advice in terms of career choices or just to extend your knowledge. All recommended

I really enjoyed this course, it was packed full of useful and insightful information. As a seasoned dog walker and pet pro business mentor, I found it really interesting and even picked up a few new tips. I’d def say it’s more aimed at new startup dog walkers, there isn’t nothing like this and is so needed. The four dates were broken down into 3 hour sessions and this worked really well, highly recommend.

I qualified with IMDT a few years ago having researched ethical dog training methods and decided on IMDT. I have attended many F2F courses and online webinars to keep my skills up to date and I'm never disappointed. All the trainers are incredibly approachable, never judgemental and willing to spend time with like minded professionals. I attend the First Aid webinar on Thursday which was expertly delivered by Alun. I find it hard to focus on webinars but I didn't miss a word and I learned a lot! Long may my professional journey continue.

Lectures were very easy to understand without too much of complexity. Much help was in fact that we received paper work ( PDF format) a week prior to the course and could look through and have questions ready for the tutor. Lots of helpful and useful information. Like the fact that Zoom was set in the way when you can see tutor only and ask questions and communicate through the writing comments. That way it was not too much distraction from class and we kept to time line. Also, good thing was that if you can’t attend or have to leave early recording of the class was available up on request.

A very informative and enjoyable course, Everyone who works with dogs for a living or is thinking of starting their own dog walking business should attend those courses.

Tanya was an amazing teacher - a great communicator and very knowledgeable and patient. The course was structured well and delivered in a variety of ways to keep us engaged all the time. I learnt loads and have already booked my next course.

I recently attended a two day course at the IMDT at Merrist Wood in Surrey.
The course was very well thought out and put together, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend it to fellow dog owners or potential trainers.
I must add that Tanya our trainer was absolutely excellent, Tanya’s style of training and delivery of information really was fantastic. Bravo to you Tanya.

I've recently attended the IMDT Professional Dog Walking Certification Course and as a Trainer and Professional Dog Walker for almost 10 years I would highly recommend it.

So much is included and in my opinion every person who is thinking of becoming a Professional Dog Walker or who is already a Professional Dog Walker should do this course!

Certification shows they have studied the most up to date information available and that they truly want that professional edge to their business.
I thoroughly enjoyed the course material and urge anyone sitting on the fence to take the plunge. There's so much good advice you didn't know you needed.

I found it really difficult finding a in person training course as so much training is online now. I wasn’t disappointed in this and this course was worth the travel I learnt so much with IMDT. The trainer delivered the information really well and allowed time for questions and answers. I’m looking forward to the next course !

I can honestly say this Mentorship program was absolutely amazing and the wealth of knowledge that I have gained on top of what I already had has been fantastic. I will certainly jump on board for monthly session as I need. Tania has been phenomenal and is a great listener and happy to work through whatever I wanted too. Weekly zoom calls with Tania is just what is needed to ensure I stayed on track and have an amount of work to put into my classes now with alot more confidence. Thank to Tania and IMDT for the brilliant program.
