Job Post Flagged without reason

Trying to post a job work but keeps getting flagged without any explanation. When contacted Indeed support team said it should be working in 3-5hours cause it needs to be verified. When checked again, its flagged without any reasons.. couldn't even post the job, now the support team declines to even help with situation, and only cares about fake reviews that support team helped client, which clearly they did not. Very disappointed and will not be using Indeed anymore.

Indeed is not helpful

The jobs indeed keeps recommending and say it’s a match, are the complete opposite of what my qualifications are. I put in search bar NON CDL DRIVER and every CDL job comes up. Not impressed at all with the job search. And they are not useful one bit.

I’ve never seen so many fraudulent employment postings in my life. Other than free advertising, theft scams and perhaps a sociological experiment to see how much frustration citizens can take, I’m not completely sure what they have to gain by posting bogus jobs and completely AI run businesses. I’m relatively sure Indeed is fine with it.

Indeed is the worst site to look for a job. All of there so call employer are staffing companies that do temp to permanent. Most of them do not understand the jobs they are offering. Some of them have you completed an I9 as if you are employed by them. Whatever you do dont sign or complete an I9 unless you are accepting a position with that company. Do not put your resume on indeed they will send you to staffing agency that can not get you a job. I have been on several interviews with these staffing agencies and it is a joke. They have you full out lots of paperwork but not real job is on the table. Just think twice before going with indeed.

I’ve been using Indeed for a long time…

I’ve been using Indeed for a long time and, honestly, it’s been extremely disheartening.
I have applied for hundreds of roles that I was fully qualified for and rarely received anything beyond automated responses, if any response at all. It feels like applications disappear into a system where you’re never actually seen by a real person.
What’s most frustrating is the lack of transparency. Many roles appear active, yet there’s no feedback, no updates, and no sense that your application has even been reviewed. It really takes a toll on your confidence over time.
Recently, I had multiple interviews through other channels, including being contacted directly on LinkedIn, which showed me that the issue isn’t my experience or ability — it’s the process.
I think platforms like this need to do better for job seekers. Clearer communication, honest listings, and some form of feedback would make a huge difference.
Job searching is already stressful it shouldn’t feel this discouraging. I have deleted it an will never use it again. Its demoralising and unfair

Hi Wendy, we completely understand and empathize with how tough and discouraging the job search can feel, especially when you're not hearing back from employers.

At Indeed, our mission is to help people get jobs. While we provide the tools and platform to connect employers with job seekers, hiring decisions and outreach are handled directly by employers themselves. That means we unfortunately can’t guarantee a response to every application.

To support you during this time, we recommend exploring our Career Guide, which offers valuable advice and resources: https://www.indeed.com/career-advice. Additionally, this article specifically addresses what to do if you aren't hearing back from employers: https://www.indeed.com/career-advice/finding-a-job/what-to-do-if-you-arent-hearing-back-from-employers.

Please know that we're rooting for you, and we wish you the best of luck in your job search. Hang in there!

I look for jobs that I want to, potentially, apply for. And what do I get? Jobs over 2 hours away from me! I look for part time, suggestions are mainly full time ones! I want entry level? It gives me suggestions for things like “manager”! Shit website

Hi Szymon, to explain, if a certain job title has very limited availability in a location, our search engine will automatically show other jobs beyond your initial search query.

Also, Indeed’s search engine is built to surface the most relevant roles, but broad keyword matching or limited context can occasionally pull in unrelated results. We’re continually refining this so the right jobs show up first. To get the most relevant results, enter keywords between quotation marks related to the job you want (for example: "Social Media Manager").

We would also advise checking out our Career Guide page: https://www.indeed.com/career-advice, there are some great resources here that will assist with all areas of your job search.

We hope this helps!

Have been using this platform for a…

I have been using this platform for a lengthy period and applied for many jobs (or 'jobs') through it.

1. Many applications are not even viewed by employers, so are a complete waste of my time.
2. The 'Estimated Salary' figures in my sector (EFL teaching jobs) via Glassdoor are consistently bogus/overinflated, despite Indeed claiming they are designed to help jobseekers. They aren't, and they don't! Instead, they gaslight good faith applicants by providing ridiculously exaggerated misinformation that make these jobs look well paid and then justifying it with bullsh*t caveats/small print stupidity. (To add insult to injury, when I filled in the entire feedback form on Glassdoor about this, it was cancelled and I was funnelled back to Indeed, which tells you what timewasting jokers they truly are!)
3. If you don't want to take my word for it, look at much of the rest of the reviews here, and draw your own conclusions.

In short, incompetent, misleading, and indifferent to users' actual experiences just about covers it right now.

Hi Larry,

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We completely understand how frustrating it can be to come across roles that don’t clearly reflect the pay structure.

We expect employers to be transparent in their job postings, including whether a role is commission-based or has a variable earning potential. When listings are unclear or potentially misleading, it’s not the experience we want for job seekers.

If you come across a specific job like this, we’d really encourage you to report it directly through the job post. Our team reviews these reports and takes action where needed to ensure listings meet our guidelines.

We’re always working to improve the quality and clarity of job postings on our platform, and feedback like yours plays an important role in that.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience!

I have just tried following the process…

I have just tried following the process regarding the email received about Glassdoor & Indeed joining, and I'm being strong armed into adding my mobile number before I can go any further. I will not do this. Another option should be made available, such as email or the authenticator app. Indeed & Glassdoor are not critical services, are a prime target for data breaches, so I therefore will NOT use my private mobile. Thus, I will no longer utilise the services of either Glassdoor or Indeed. Thank you.

Hi Ron, it appears that you are referring to our mobile verification process for accounts on Indeed.

At this time, our system requires verification by sending a code to authenticate users via mobile phone number or landline. We understand that this may not be convenient for everyone, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Unfortunately, we currently do not have alternative verification methods available.

This process is in place to ensure account security for our users, we will ensure your feedback is forwarded to the relevant team internally.

Absolutely sick and tired of seeing adverts for delivroo, go puff, Uber eats and all similar rubbish on my job search page. I have not allowed this or ever searched this type of job....it's just advert after advert. Totally ruined the job search experience. Reported these advert jobs on countless times yet they still come through. What was once a decent specific job role/type in an individual sector is now just a page for temporary delivery roles. Indeed... please sort your site out....it is terrible at the moment.

Hi Nic, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, we are very sorry to hear that you are haivng a poor experience on Indeed. You can filter certain terms or company names from your search result on Indeed, you just need to add a minus sign in front of the term you wish to exclude: '-deliveroo'.

An example search term for a driver role that will exlucde deliveroo jobs from your search results would be: driver -deliveroo.

We hope this helps, good luck with your search!

Shocking!!

I'm an employer

Shocking, only had a job posted for 12hrs and its cost me £90 in "clicks" do not waste your money.

I set it to £13 a day and there was no mention of paying for clicks! I thought I was paying for a service monthly. They have wiped the account so I owe nothing however the clicks system is severely outdated practise and needs scrapping, its a con.

I recieved 110 clicks apparently in 16hrs, yet only 10 applicants and 99% of them are people fudging the benefits system!

Hi, Jon! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. On Indeed, Sponsored Jobs run on a cost-per-click (CPC) basis rather than a flat monthly fee. This means the selected budget is the average amount intended to be spent per day over time. You only pay when someone clicks your job ad to view the full job description, not for impressions. The actual spend can fluctuate day to day depending on traffic and competition, but our system aims to keep your average daily spend close to the amount you set for the job while it's active on Indeed. The job can be paused, or the budget adjusted at any time to control future spend. We are happy to hear that you received assistance. Please know your feedback is valuable, and it will certainly be passed along!
