While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Only in it for the money, no customer services at all

They allow for a company to take money and go bankrupt without offering any advice, buyer protection or even pride in their work. They do nothing at all for buyer/investor protection and even if a product comes out, there is no verification as to the laws surrounding guarantees.I had used Indigogo a few times in the past and had never had the need to ask them for help (they don't come up with the project ideas after all), but this time with Superstrata bikes, the company went bankrupt and were dishonest about everything to do with their product. I received one out of two bikes, money that had been paid for extra wheels was never reimbursed, the final weight was not what they promised, and my asking of them to use the moneys paid for the extra wheels to cover the new and higher shipping costs was never used. I only ever received one of the two bikes (The product tends towards the bad side, which is not Indigogo's fault). When I got in touch with Indigogo asking for their help they flat out refused and when I suggested that they help with building a legal group to help the dissatisfied customers (of which there are thousands), they became hostile. Indigogo: It's the utter wild-west of making stuff and I for one, am never going to participate in anything that they promote ever again. They are clearly only in it for the money.

They allow campaigner to lie…

They sponsored a campaign for a crappy company called ArVizon.
I know there is no guarantee a campaign will product results but they campaign alleged that it complete production, send product and marked everyone as fulfilled.
They lied no one got product. Indigogo did nothing to chastize them. offered not useful feedback. They are complicit in stealing the backers money.
Never trust them.
