My first experience with aftermarket cartridges and toner

I purchased a double set of cartidges, with toner, for my Canon mx922, my first aftermarket experience.

I installed the second set in my girlfriend's mx922 after 4 months. Unfortunately, the yellow cartridge was bad and had to be replaced, but this wasn't discovered until installed, well past the 30 day warranty. They insisted I pay for it, which I did, even though it was one of two sets purchased. Did they expect me to fill and test both sets of cartidges upon arrival? Unreasonable, and unfair too.

InkProducts.com live support is spotty at best, and if it's a slow day, this family business closes its doors early.

Contrast this with my experience of Precision Colors. One of the cartridges in the new set was bad, and even though the '30 day' had expired, they mailed me the replacement without charge.

I use Precision Colors now for carts and ink-I believe their ink is better quality, and they have greater product integrity; check out their website for a very honest product description.

With InkProducts.com, there have also been a number of issues affecting their CIS systems. If you are considering it, be aware of the issues in the various reviews.

So it's 30 days, not 90 days, as stated in your reply. For this misrepresentation, I'm taking off another star.

Again, it's unreasonable, and unfair, to expect a customer to test a second set of carts within 30 days when there is no additional printer to use the second set of carts. Why would a customer load a second set that would not be used continuously? This makes no sense.

It would have cost you about $2.50 (if that), including shipping, on an $80 plus purchase, to stand behind your product. Instead, you insisted that I pay $11 for the replacement cartridge.
Please do better for your customers.

It is easier to find your '90 day warranty' on the dark side of the moon than on your website.

As far as I can tell, this valuable information appears in only one place on your website (that you pointed out)...the "Privacy" section, where no-one would think to look.

You could display the '90 Day Warranty' proudly on your 'Home' page, or have a separate link under the "Need help" category, or include it in your 'Terms & Conditions' - the logical place for it, or include it under "Customer Service", another logical place to look.

Without being able to learn of the warranty, customers might think that they are bound by the strict 30 day return rules and not ask for product replacement or repair in the 90 days they have.

Finally, if your website had made it clear that defective cartridges in the second set would not be warranted after 90 days of purchase, I wouldn't have bought a second set. The whole point of a second set is to have working backup/replacement cartridges when needed after the first set of cartridges wear out, hopefully 6 to 18 months.

So please tell customers, who purchase two or more cartridge sets, that you don't honor the warranty after 90 days from purchase, which is when they'll probably need them. Thank you.

Awesome with a slight hiccup

I bought this system when my cartridge was empty. Since I didn't have time to wait for the system to arrive, I also bought a new cartridge. By the time the new cartridge needed refilling, I was 3 months beyond the expiration of the warranty. Needless to say, I was a little concerned. But it worked like a champ! I am very satisfied. There were two minor issues that I didn't like.
The first was that the instructions said to go to their website for instructional videos. I was unable to find those videos on their website.
The second is that the directions could be a little clearer. The instructions included a special instruction written in a different color for a different type of cartridge in step 2. It said that if you didn't have that type of cartridge to ignore that part of the instruction. So I ignored step 2. My initial attempt to refill the cartridge did not work. When I went back, I saw that there was a second part of step 2 written in the same color ink as the rest of the steps. This part did apply to my cartridge. After performing this step, the process was flawless. I wish I could give star fractions because this product truly deserves 4.5 stars. This was just a small issue that was easily remedied by re-reading the instructions. I do feel that the two parts of step 2 could be separated to prevent future misunderstandings, but this is truly a small issue.
The real takeaway is that it cost me slightly more than $60 to purchase a kit that will refill my black ink cartridge at least 5 times, something that would have cost me $165 at typical store replacement prices. That doesn't even include the refills of my color cartridges that were also included.

I purchased a CISS SYSTEM from ink products.com in 2018 for my new printer. The system never worked right. I am very familiar with working with CISS systems. They did not want to help me resolve my problem. They take your money and that's it. Don't buy from them. Their ink is our quality as well. I tried replacing the chip, replacing the cartridge all at my expense. They did nothing to help. I did Not wait 2 years to contact them to try to fix the issue. I contacted them several times over the 2 years 8 month period. Each time at my own expense at trying to fix the issue. They are only giving you half a story. I wish it would have worked out bc their prices are cheap but now I know why they are cheap.

We tried to help the customer over the phone-Unfortunately customer did not want to hear why we could not offer a replacement on a 3-year-old product at NO cost (customer is 2 years and 8 months past her warranty). According to the customer, since Costco and Kohls offer replacement products after 3 years so should we. We also tried to explain to the customer that we are not Costco, or Kohls, we are a small family own and operated Business (Over 30 years in Business) and it is Not part of our policy to replace 3-year-old products at NO COST.

The worst customer service you could…

The worst customer service you could ever imagine. What most people don't know upon purchasing their "kits" you are responsible for the usb chip resetter. However, If you are new to this you don't know exactly what type of printer usb you would need for the chip resetter. You would think that if you have a question customer service would be more than glad to assist. Instead you get someone who was extremely snobby and obnoxious. I will never purchase from this site again. I recommend you don't waste your time. There are a lot of other places who will go the extra mile. so disappointed.

Ten Years and going strong ...

I have been using InkProducts Inks and Cartridges for over ten years. The first set I got was for an HP printer with pigment based inks. Everything worked great. A few years later I got an Epson Printer with dye based inks and bought two sets of cartridges for easy change out. It all worked fine. The scanner portion of my printer went bad so I contacted Inkproducts and asked if my cartridges' would work in the updated version of printer I already had. They said I should have no problem so I bought the updated model. I have been using the same cartridges for at least 7 years and they have never skipped a beat and I have always received great service.

This is the worst customer service and terrible products .they are rude on the phone when I received my ink and cis system it was not working ink was all over the place I had to send it back and then when I asked about the replacement the became hostile and hung up on me awful customer service worst company I've ever seen do not buy from them.

Great Service Continues

I continue to be impressed by Inkproducts.com's service. I bought a CIS, a chip resetter, and a bunch of ink from them. EVERY TIME I have had a question, Tom has patiently offered expert advice that has been spot on. My experience has been 100% positive with inkproducts.com and I recommend them highly. Tom is a real expert, returns calls promptly, and shows concern for his customers.

Great service - 4 years after the sale!

Satisfied user.

I have used their products for a couple years. I currently own 2 Brother printers, J480Dw and J985Dw. They both have inlproducts kits in them. I have a small business and print a lot of paper. Description sheets, invoices, manuals, etc. The items in my Brother printers have worked flawlessly, and when I have received error messages I have received prompt assistance either through email or phone. When I order it comes in a reasonable amount of time. This isn't a perfect world and sometimes the seller gets blamed for shipping problems beyond his control. I did use their product with a HP 8600 and eventually, before the ink was gone had problems with the printheads leaking continually. I read his review on Brother printers and at this point I am very satisfied. I have tried many of the others, Epson, HP, Canon,Lexmark,etc. and found problem areas. Either ink or printheads. So far, the Brothers just work. I recommend them to any of my friends when they express frustration over printing costs. Now the biggest expense is paper. Not sure where all the negative reviews come from. I've only had experience with inkproducts that have been very satisfactory.

Surprised to see so many bad reviews

Surprised to see so many bad reviews, I actually have been buying from them for a few years now, we had an HP and now have a Epson ET-4550, and have never had any problems, in fact the very reason I went on here to write a review is because i submitted a question to them as a comment on my order of the four eco tank inks; I read online that the ecotank 4550 uses dye based for the colors, and pigment for the black so i was concerned because inkproducs uses all dye for that model, and so with my order they gave a print out from epson's website showing the correct ink for that printer (which showed all of them 664 inks)and they explained that 664 and 774 are all dye based, and that my printer takes dye based. on a different occasion for my business i bought from ink products and i bought each color separate dye based, and pigment black. a lady called me and asked if i was sure that i wanted pigment black because mixing them could damage the printer, but i insisted that i had read online that it takes pigment black but dye based colors (this was much before the situation above) and she said ok and confirmed the order. so unfortunately my business printer, which is the epson ecotank ET-4750 has a lot of problems with streaking and having to do head cleanings, that i didn't connect until recently, that i have mixed the inks and should has stuck with the dye as Inkproducts recommended. actually i should have looked on epson's own website because you can see when they show the ink that the four are all the same number, which means they would all either have to be one or the other together, and not three different than the one but oh well. anyways im very happy with this company and will continue to do business with them!

I would give negative stars if I could. I placed an order with this company inksupply.com (MIS Associates) on 2-28-19, their website says they ship in 1-2 days. Almost 2 weeks went by and I still hadn't received the order or any shipping confirmation. I tried contacting this company many times via email and phone messages to find out the status of my order and finally telling them to cancel the order and refund my paypal payment and they didn't respond at all. I finally contacted the useless Better Business Bureau 3-4-19 asking for help telling them I wanted the order cancelled and a refund. Four days later I received a response through the BBB saying inkproducts.com had shipped the order when I made it very clear I wanted a refund!! I told the useless BBB that was not what I wanted, I wanted the order cancelled and a refund. They responded again through the useless BBB message system on 3-15 saying I could return the items for a refund, which I did, they received the items back 2 days later and still refused to give me a refund.I ended up filing a claim with paypal to get my money back. This place should be shut down.

Unbelievable poor company and products

Unbelievable poor company and products. They send the wrong ink and system. The products could damage your printer; according to INKPRODUCTS - that is they said to not use the ink or the printer will be damaged. This is outrageous they should end the 'wrong' products, I complained to them the they need to be vigilant, and practice good quality control on orders. They got upset with me! Wow. In the end the product was nonfunctional and I simply discarded it and will not do business with them again. hey are a small FL outfit and the number of BB complaints is staggering for a small business; AND, they are still in operation! InkProducts is an outdistancing example of how bad a company can be, really bad all around, and still stay in business; a tribute to the nonsensical BB; people who still order from them; and how a company can be dishonest, nasty, nd still sell to unknowing customers. The company is a monumental tribute to a bad business that should be closed down asap.
