Using it for solo travel vlogs and the screen facing forward changes the workflow. I can actually see if I'm in frame instead of just hoping. Footage looks clean out of the camera. Skin tones look right, Which matters when you're on screen.

Mounted this to my handlebars for a gravel ride last weekend. Flip screen is useful for checking framing before you hit record, which you can't do on most action cams. Didn't have to stop twice to fix the angle. Battery got me through the full loop with juice to spare.

Great customer service. I was having an issue with pauses in the playback of the videos and the team at Insta360 was extremely helpful in resolving the issue. In addition, the camera itself is so fun to use.

Product is Great.
But I found one minus wich is very important and insta have to look at this and fixed, it's about over hitting in a sunny days. And as well it's not recommended to use camera and charge in the same time it will over hit ass well, so if you think to use like a dash cam I will recomant to look for something else.

I truly appreciate how receptive Insta360 is to user feedback. I hope the company will apply some of my suggestions since they would go a long way towards helping it stand out from the competition. When selection people to review pre-release products, consideration should also be given to users who are able to provide high quality feedback that goes beyond what regular YouTubers/influencers provide.

Got this for birthday videos and ended up wearing it on a family beach trip. Didn't have to think about framing, just let it rill the whole day. When I got back and went through the footage I had way more usable clips than if I'd been phone-filming.

Delivery took a few days longer than I'd hoped, if I'm honest. Support did keep me updated when I asked though, and the parcel arrived well packaged.

Fits in the chest pocket of my ski jacket and records from there without blocking anything. Cold didn't kill it as fast as my phone. Can't complain about that.

The lens guard on my ace pro broke and broke off. I sent in the camera to be looked at. They tried to get me to buy the Ace Pro 2 instead of a simple repair. The camera purchase was within a year. I asked them to send it back and they sent it back with the broken lens guard reattached. I wanted to pursue my own repair, but now left with also figuring out the glued back lens guard. I mean it's shattered so why would that be placed back on?? It was done intentionally because I didn't pick the upgrade? When I told customer service about it I was told it would be escalated to management. But then the same customer agent responds that they did nothing wrong. I don't know one single customer service rep who escalates to management and then continues to answer on management behalf. I've spent over 1k in insta 360 products this last year and now I regret it. Customer service/warranty is HORRIBLE... lost a customer!

Manager continues to try to upsell me and trade in for the Ace Pro 2. Still declines to escalate my issue....Still horrible customer service! I wonder if Go Pro treats thier customers like this.

Got my insta360 r second hand just to try out the whole 360 filming thing, and expected no customer service at all. What i got was a rad product that has leveled up my videos of downhill skateboard and luge runs, backed by superb customer service. They contacted me to solve a problem I had, and the service was prompt, helpful, and friendly, and they didnt even care that I bought the camera second hand. I will definitely be using more insta360 products in the future.

Initial issue with delivery but this was not the fault of 360. I fact they put everything right with fantastic customer support and contact throughout. This piece of kit looks and feels so good. This is a quality made high spec product

Bought an Insta360 X4 for the video quality. Accidentally discovered it can also survive the collapse of civilization. The camera went missing for almost 5 months and as I was about to get the X5 as a replacement the missing X4 found on the side of a road… half buried in mud.

While taking a break on a Louisiana road side for 5 months this camera endured:
• heat hot enough to cook jambalaya on a mailbox
• random downpours
• humidity thick enough to drink
• mud
• getting partially buried
• and likely being run over multiple times because people park there constantly

Expected: instant death.
Actual result: Camera powered on immediately like it had just been sitting safely on a shelf the whole time.

Only damage was scratched lenses.

At this point I’m convinced the engineers at Insta360 tested this thing by throwing it directly into the Louisiana wilderness and saying “if it survives this, ship it.”

10/10 would purchase again!!!

Rode up the coast and this stayed put inside my jacket the whole way. Didn't expect audio to be usable at highway speeds but it mostly was. Visuals came out solid. If you're riding and want hands-free small, this fits the bill.

This has been such an enjoyable camera to get and such an enjoyable company to work with. I really love how detailed everyone from the company is and helping to find the best solution. Really love this camera-on the specific one I believe her name is Dottie and she helped me all the way from A-to-Z. Really appreciate her work ethic. she’s amazing.
