Only started using InsureCarHire recently, but very pleased so far.

£1000 is paid for a platform that you are suspended from when not used for a few months meaning you have to request to unsuspend account which is then only done for 24hrs. A hire must be made every 3 months otherwise suspensions apply and then I worry if termination then occurs after having account in suspension.
Company is totally evasive when asking direct questions before becoming a customer and even more formal when you are a customer sticking to quoting legal terms and conditions rather than understanding you as a small business with a need for excellence in customer experience. I could not invest in long term marketing because I could not get a straight answer on how long I'd keep my platform (despite giving them £1000).Check the small-print - they may withdraw your platform at anytime with minimal notice.
Insure Car Hire staff are as helpful as they can but are let down by the processes and policies that are strangling them from the business owners.
This company has a monopoly on micro duration insurance for hire cover however micro insurance is a growth area and its only a matter of time until their business model fails due to such awful customer experience.
I have worked in insurance for over 20 years and have never had such bad experiences. So much so I can not run my business with this company as the insurer.

They dont make it easy for a new venture to sign up for the pay as you go insurance system.
Not really sure why they then ask if you have any experience in the field when InsureCareHire and a few others dont even give you a chance to breakthrough.

The principle of the system is good. I run a business and have only a small need for hire car insurance so being able to pay as I go is very good. However, if the account is not used continually it needs to be refreshed, if I have monies registered against the account these disappear under the heading of 'costs'. There is also some friction between most suppliers of motor trade policies and this method of insuring hire cars. This has made it difficult to have a free choice of other insurance. So in summary - good in principle but doesn't work too well in practice.

We signed up and paid the £900 sign up fee on the basis of a very good daily rate and with an assurance that rates would only increase by a small annual percentage. However after about 15 months the admin charges were increased by x 10! and the insurance doubled. No warning was given save for a notice on their system once logged in (apparently giving the required 7 days notice). First we knew about it was when we next tried to take out insurance.
Other than that they are a lovely bunch, helpful and the system is easy to use. After about 9 months of the extortion the original rates and admin charges were resumed so currently it's a competitive option again but no assurance or explanation has been given.

We've been using ICS for the last four years and have found the on-line booking system to be efficient and easy to use.
On the odd occasion when there has been an issue Steve and his staff have always dealt speedily and efficiently with it.
We have no hesitation in recommending ICS to any prospective user.

Here at Novo we are a specialist niche provider of sports, prestige and electric vehicles. With our market being quite specialised we required the services of a broker who understood the uniqueness of our business. Insure Car Hire and in particular Steve Blackwell fulfil that need - they provide us not only with a specialist "day insurance" for our vehicles and clients but (and more importantly) a fantastic level of service. Whether we require a fast response to a query, new cover or assistance on rates we find that Steve and his team are always there to assist when we need it. I have no hesitation in recommending Insure Car Hire and in particular Steve and his team!
