What an amazing experience with Intercompany Solutions. From day one, they helped us perfectly with setting up our BV (Dutch limited company). The team really thinks along with you and comes up with smart solutions. Communication was super smooth - I always received answers to my questions within 24 hours.

The entire process of company registration, VAT number application, and bank account opening went smoothly. Their guidance in choosing the right company structure was also valuable. They explained everything clearly and guided us through the process step by step.

Disappointing Service - Unacceptable Delays

I have been working with this accounting firm for several months now, and unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of frustrating. Despite multiple requests, my annual financial statement for 2023 has been delayed repeatedly with no clear resolution in sight. This has caused significant setbacks in my business, as I’ve been unable to move forward without having access to the necessary financial information.

What’s even more concerning is that I’ve been switched between different account managers on multiple occasions, with no follow-up or accountability from any of them. I’ve now been stuck for over 5 months with no progress, and I am unable to make any key decisions for my business.

To make matters worse, I’ve encountered multiple errors, including incorrect VAT calculations and missed filing deadlines. These mistakes have only added to the mounting frustration and cost.

Additionally, I paid €2400 for a service that has been on hold for more than 3 months, with no updates or movement from the accounting team. This level of service is absolutely unacceptable.

As a last resort, I’m sharing my experience in this review in the hope that it will finally lead to a resolution and that these issues will be addressed promptly.

ICS promise the world and deliver an appalling service. To begin with, the account manager/sales representative at ICS - Clement - was quick, responsive and helpful. The minute I paid money - which I was hurried into so he could "balance his books for the month" - he evaporated and I was handed over to numerous different people, all answering on the same email address. I paid for company incorporation and a year of accounting services. I was promised that the incorporation process would take no more than 3-8 weeks. It took 6months. In the process of communicating with the notary to incorporate my company, crucial details were missed which have now cost me dearly and caused huge inconveniences in the running and financing of my business. ICS takes zero responsibility for this and have done nothing to try to render it, in spite of my frequent and varied attempts to get their attention. In fact, in one phone call, the person I was speaking to was downright rude to me. In terms of monthly bookkeeping and accounting: ICS positions itself as a perfect solution for international businesses/ English-speaking business owners in the Netherlands. After several complaints and I don't know how many emails, I am still sent documents in Dutch with no explanation or effort to translate made by the bookkeeper. When I call, I can hardly make out what they are saying because their grasp of English is so poor. I have asked to speak to their manager and always get told he - Ron Hofman - is not available. I leave messages asking to be called back and never am. I still haven't heard a single word from Ron Hofman. There have been crucial miscalculations made on my balance sheet due to the bookkeeper's insufficient knowledge of intra-EU VAT regulations - I have brought this up with the bookkeeper and nothing has been done about it. Lastly, ICS has submitted work/summaries late and fines have been incurred by my business for this reason. Needless to say ICS bares no responsibility for this and does nothing about it. I WOULD NEVER recommend ICS to anyone. Trying to work with them has been one of the most frustrating and awful experiences of my professional life. They are not to be trusted.

ICS and Francois in particular have been a great help with setting up my IT company. Would highly recommend.

Very satisfied with the cooperation. Very much thinking along with our situation and how to create the right solution for us. For me it is always a dealmaker if the company thinks along and tries to put themselves in our position, so that we not only buy a service but also really have a partner for later on that follows up in line with our company situation.

I have worked closely with this company for years now, being a Dutch business owner myself. Some points of interest that stand out for me personally, are (in no particular order):

* This company is very all-round and also internationally oriented, meaning that they have the expertise to help a lot of different clients from many different backgrounds.
* Intercompany Solutions is also a great name, since that is what they do: help international companies achieve success by bringing out the best of the owner's capabilities.
* The team is highly reliable and very customer friendly, in my experience. I was actually almost shocked by some of the reviews here, since I always receive a reply within 24 hours of my query.
* These people know what they are doing, they absolutely have the expertise to help your company with various financial, legal and tax related issues.

There are more points of interest, but in general, I highly recommend this company to any foreign business owner or investor who is looking to expand to the Netherlands. I will definitely do business with the team of Intercompany Solutions again.

Two years ago we where looking for a company that could help us out with starting a business in the Netherlands. After approaching multiple company's, ICS stood out. They where very helpful and gave us a lot of easy with there services. I highly recommend them they will get it done, fast, correct and against a fair price.

I have had a very good experience with Intercompany Solutions for setting up my company and opening a bank account.

Sales is great promising you the world, but as a customer of several years, we are struggling to get in contact with this company. They only have a sales number, but as accounting customer you have to use an email address as sole communications means. They have missed timelines multiple times, to a level were customers get fined for the delays by the tax authorities.

I do not recommend to work with this company at all. There are many other incorporation and accounting firms on the marktet.

Friendly help and solid advice. I have had issues with the company I chose before thus I'm glad that with ICS everything went swimmingly. I recommend.

We used Intercompany solutions to start a business in the Netherlands during 2021 while being based in the UK

The service of starting the company was acceptable, they were helpful most of the time during the initial process, even though often there was a lack of communication on the necessary steps and the time frames I was given were not actually respected, which did create issues for us

I made two big errors:
- paying for their service to open the business bank account. They basically forced me to open Revolut, which never worked, was a huge headache, they never refunded me for the money I lost due to the errors they made in setting it up and I ended up just opening another bank account on my own. I basically paid for them to fill in a form on Revolout (incorrectly), which just resulted in over a month of headaches and issues I had to deal with - a complete waste of money

- we decided to go with them also as our accountants for the first year, another very big mistake. The support is intermittent, any time we have a question they tell us to hire a specialist - and if there is something that could be beneficial accounting-wise they don't tell us about it until we discover it on our own and ask them explicitly.

I have complained several times and never got any resolution to any issue or any actual service that would be worth the cost paid for the accounting services. Going back I would look for another company also to open the business, and I would definitely never ever hire them as our accountants.

It's now been over 1 year, we changed accountant in January 2022, and despite requesting our accounts for 2021 regularly, via email and by phone, as of December 2022 we still haven't received them. Getting a response is often very difficult and requires multiple emails and phone calls to different people in the company. This is creating significant delays and problems for our business, which will likely force us to incur in additional costs.

I had a great experience with Intercompany Solutions for requesting a VAT number. My account manager explained the process thoroughly and professionally. Overall definitely recommended.
