Duranson and Chris [from the corporate office] were absolutely phenomenal to work with! Their customer service was unmatched as was the overall store experience. They went above and beyond to ensure each and every question was answered thoroughly as there were multiple decisions being made from best sofa option/s to fabric and pillow selection. Extremely knowledgeable. Honest. Helpful. Effective listening. Infectious positive energy. Clarity in communication. Clearly stated processes and delivery expectations. Attention to detail. Focus was on the relationship building vs. the sales transaction. Exceeded expectations and a purchase was made without hesitation.

Great product and outstanding sales team make for an exceptional buying experience!

I had found this company after the publication of a Forbes magazine article naming the best couches of 2024. Interior Define ranked #1. Then I read the negative reviews... only to later found out that the company had been bought out (in 2022?) after almost going under because of poor management. It is now owned under an umbrella of several higher end brands and if you look at more recent reviews, it shows the stark difference in customer's experience.
All of this to say that our expectations were exceeded when we received our couch. We love it and special shout out to our sales rep, Kristen for being professional and also for not over promising on lead times. Highly recommend this company!

Extreme delays and horrible customer service

The item did eventually arrive as ordered but it was delayed substantially over the latest possible date that was quoted upon checkout. It was not possible to discuss the issue with anyone over the phone and was very difficult to deal using their customer service request form as the representatives over email consistently failed to respond, failed to provide updates and provided consistent false information.

Best sofa I've ever purchased.

My first time buying a sofa online and I was nervous about it. I received my sofa yesterday and it is more beautiful than I expected, the construction is solid, the velvet fabric stunning and tight, cushions are the perfect firmness. I made a few custom changes to the original and all was done exactly as ordered. Throughout the design process, which I took my time with, they were very patient and helpful in choosing just the right color for my space. Delivery was within time limit specified and flawless. Highly recommend Interior Define!

Delivery was great

Delivery was great. Product is great with one exception. The device to keep the couches together is not great and it’s often that it comes loose. Otherwise all is well.

Never again

2nd time purchase from the Edina, MN store, this will be our last. Lost order, missing pieces after waiting for almost 4 months, poor customer service response on multiple levels. We've had enough! Our sales person simply say's "I just work in Sales". She will find out that customer service translates to repeat business. Buyer beware all!!!

Second purchase with Interior Define.

Second purchase with Interior Define.
Love the sofa which I purchased from them years ago, so decided to get a sale chair as I thought it would take less time to arrive as the prior purchase but that was not the case. It arrived with a couple streaks on the arm, which Interior Define said I should use a steamer to correct this imperfection, but I do not own a steamer. All in all, great product but will not be purchasing a sale item again if I do purchase from them a 3rd time.

If you’re debating… don’t!

Easy ordering, loads of fabric options, constant communications throughout the order. Scheduled delivery and they were able to deliver a week earlier. Love my couch, it’s so comfortable I fall asleep on it easily. Soft and comfortable cushions, I ordered the down alternative. Fabric is soft and dog hair comes right off. Color is gorgeous! Highly recommend!

Fantastic couch experiences

I ordered an interior define sectional for the living room around 2020 and have been using it since. It was customized to be an L shape to fit a long living room and we got it in the extra deep option with the down alternative filling. It's extremely comfortable and hasn't lost its softness or sagged (unlike another popular mid century modern brand we've used). Once a week or so I'll fluff the back pillows to clean them up but that's just for look. Functionally it works great and has lasted years of sitting and haven't had issues with staining yet (we got the performance fabric). Since then we've ordered one more futon this year in a different performance fabric and I've loved it so much! Even lasted a move.

Never received the sofa we bought after being told we would be refunded

We bought a sofa from Interior Define fully paid for nearly 3000 in August 2022. Have never received it. countless phone calls and a letter sent to them from my lawyer. Nothing. In November 2023, we were told that another company is taking over (Havenly) and that they would refund monies to people who purchased furniture. It never happened. I called someone that was in charge of the "settlement" last Fall that was overseeing the funds that were supposed to be deposited by Havenly. He told me at that time the settlement was never funded and that Interior Define "stole your money". I have filed with BBB and am considering suing this company. Amazingly i just received a new catalogue from Interior Define who continues to operate after defrauding multiple customers including myself.

In 2022 Interior Define experienced financial difficulties and is now under new management as of December 29, 2022. Our new management has been focused on successfully restoring the full operations of the business and all orders placed after December 29, 2022, are being produced and delivered to customers as scheduled.

Please note that because your order was placed with the former company, which underwent liquidation at the end of 2022, the new company regrettably has no control over and is unable to assist with refunds for orders placed before 12/29/2022.

The assignee responsible for overseeing the liquidation concluded its case during the Summer of 2023, and as we do not have oversight over this process, we are unable to provide any further details.

We know that the process regarding your outstanding order with the former Interior Define company has been difficult and frustrating. We are so sorry for the turmoil this may have caused you.

Oh my goodness, horrible business!

Oh my goodness, do not ever order from this company! You will not receive your items, or, you’ll receive them way later and not as shown online! Oh, and they make you pay 50% restocking fee to return, huge red flag! West elm does not do this, nor do other reputable companies—because they don’t need to!

Winslow Petite Chair

Ordered our Winslow Petite chair the end of September and it arrived just after Thanksgiving, right at about 8 weeks. Their customer service was quick with any questions I had and the chair is one of my favorite spots to relax with a good book! The performance velvet has been nice and held up exceptionally well with 3 dogs, 2 of which think I purchased the chair for them!

I ordered a couch and a chair

I ordered a couch and a chair. The couch arrived without the chair and was a few inches shorter than what it was supposed to be. The fabric and color were nice so I decided to overlook the size difference and waited for the chair. Once it arrived a realized I ordered a $1,000 child's chair. It is so low to the ground that an adult cannot sit in it. The pictures and video online show it with legs and much higher off the ground. I have tried to contact the company numerous times but receive no response. The phone number and chat just tell you to email them. Nonexistent customer service and ridiculous furniture. Would not under any circumstances recommend this company.

Took FOREVER

Took FOREVER. Color does not match pictures. Chairs are nice but not what I expected. I wish I’d purchased something in a store instead - then I’d have known what I was getting and wouldn’t have had to wait almost four months.

Sloan Customizable Sectional

Overall - I love my Sloan Sectional!!!
Having a designer to plan the space before I moved in was great + going into the store locations was also super helpful! I do wish more couches were modular or it was easier to make a couch modular after purchasing. Additionally, the my Sloan Chaise Sectional - the actual chaise portion the seat has some bumps in it / isn't fully flat. Does it annoy the perfectionist in me after spending $$$ on it but it's something I can easily sort out myself.
